As an ex Monarch cabin crew member, it was interesting to watch this from a passengers perspective. I only flew for them for 3 years, but my wife (whom I met working with on a 757!) Flew for Monarch for over 20 years. We were both absolutely devastated when Monarch ceased flying. Very sad day. It is a hard time for ALL airlines at the moment. We and my wife went to Tenerife with monarch days before administration, such a wonderful flight, crew were excellent and it felt a whole more civilised than other airlines I’ve flown with . And the price was about the same as other airlines when you factor in all the additional costs.sad day when monarch ceased, I thought I’d found the perfect airline for my annual holiday. RIP monarch, you’ll be sorely missed

For my first time I have experienced a Monarch Airlines flight. Thank you let me flown with me. I am very positive surprised about Monarch. Their planes looking so pretty clean, the food is soo unbelievable cheap and the seats are very comfy.
notice how the flaps are extended. then retracted before taxi. this is to check they work then stop ice build up on the taxi. they are then extended again shortly before departure 😁

Nick in a way, he is right. Monarch was a traditional airline, they had to close because they struggled with Ryanair and easyJet, so became a LCC which they struggled with.
I flew on Monarch several times some years ago, on scheduled flights to Gran Canaria & Tenerife (from Luton & Gatwick) and always found the experience very pleasant. It’s a pity this airline is now no more & after the current pandemic is over I fear some other airlines may follow it into oblivion 😟.
Pity that the weather was so bad in Innsbruck. It would have been nice to see the climb. It's reputed to be very complicated there, with the plane having to make dramatic detours to avoid the Alpine mountains, because both the city and the airport are in a narrow valley.
You guys should try fly Air New Zealand, the hard part is is that they don't fly to Europe I believe (edit, they only fly from Auckland to Los Angeles to Heathrow I believe)

try MUC-JSI with Condor. Skiathos/JSI is known as the greek st maarten. i myself are going to the real deal next year. but if you are lucky the KLM could have a 6-700€ roundtrip from Vienna.

RIP but I’ve been on monarch and I was flying into Stansted and it happened to Be like the foggiest day in the year and you could barely see a metre ahead of you so the plane had to land it’s self. But the flight was quite empty assuming because of there soon to Belton bankruptcy
