I kind of got pizza lunchable obsessed... Never Again haha I'm so over it!
THE WADS Angelica
THE WADS it looks so good it makes me hungry I have not eaten dinner rolls in forever
THE WADS ii
Elenor revealing she ate the cookie in the first clip cracked me up!
hehee She is such a sweetheart! .. and a sugar lover!
I love that Eleanor ate Avalina's cookie.
I can't believe she didn't eat the cookie but I love that Eleanor went in her lunch box to find it 😂
you can try burger lunchables just cook some frozen burger from the market(lazy tip) and put them in a thermos and then pack a few of those dinner rolls and at lunch time, she can just take those burger meat out and put them on the rolls hope u try it and hope that she will like it
What you could do with the pizza sauce is get a tiny little container and a popsicle stick and explain to her to use the popsicle stick to smear the sauce.
popsicle stick is a good idea! Thanks!
The tiny Dr. Brown's wire bottle brush fits in the straw and that little vent hole in those straws too.
We occasionally do homemade pizza lunchables and I grill the circles with a bit of olive oil before packing. Tastes less raw and my kids liked it far better. We do gluten free tortillas due to celiac so I would think the regular kind would taste even better! I also cut the circles into wedges to make them easier and less messy to eat.
"I ate the cookie!" I laughed so hard!! So adorable! 😍
haha She's a riot!
You can soak the straw in bleach and water for about an hour and then soak again in hot soapy water to make sure the bleach is all out. We have to do that from time to time with ours.
Your dough tees are so pretty bless them
"End of the year laziness... even though I'm not in school what the heck" I LOST IT 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Try disposable dressing cups and a spoon for spreading the sauce.
Those fig bars are soooo good, especially the blueberry ones!
I didn't get to try one, but the kids gobbled them up! ... but 20g of sugar.. gooooh!
Don't beat yourself up over the lunches! I think you do an amazing job! When I was her age I ate PBJ every single day for lunch and I'm not even kidding.
haha SO true! I had a salmi sandwich, some dunkaroos and oreos!! and I was good to go! hahaa
I had a sandwich every day and an apple. It was ok and I ate it. :-)
Happy Mother's Day!
Loving the fact that she eats Brussels sprouts!!
haha yeah! She's a trooper when it comes to dinner time vegetables!
I used to like those sandwich thins, but I'm pretty sure they have artificial sweeteners in it, but more importantly if you've never tried Biscoff Cream---it is to die for. It's a cookie butter spread, they usually sell it next to the peanut butter and nutella stuff. It's soooo yummy on toast. 😋
omg. Alex eats that biscoff spread by the spoonful - like I eat nutella! haha I haven't bought it in a while, but you're right- it's soo good! ... I definitely didn't even look at what is in the sandwich thins.. gaaah why there is so much fake food in the grocery store is beyond me. It really is a problem! And side note... I wish they would put on the labels how much sugar is ADDED sugar. uh.
The fig bars are really good. We get them at Costco and they have blueberry, apple, and raspberry. My kids have the same thermos thing and you can take out the straw part. I use these bottle brush cleaners by Dr. Brown. They are for cleaning the straws in the Dr. Brown bottle but they work amazing for cleaning any straws and they're not that expensive. Love all your videos :)
I didn't even think of buying straw cleaners... uh. Now I'll buy some!! Beats throwing away a $12 bottle!! lol
I'm so glad I can catch all of your Brian Regan jokes!!😆 Fig newtons by the sleeve!
hahaaa dude. I seriously LOVE Brian Regan so much!!
Where did you get the Container/what's the name of it? The one you put the cucumbers and hummus in?
my kids love the thin bread but the honey wheat. Their back to eating pb n J on these LOL
I thought it was pretty good!
If you go onto the Thermos website you can or
buy a few new straws
This might be a dumb question but I'm going to ask it anyway. Does little miss picky get a snack when she comes home and is "starving" but still has most of her lunch untouched? If yes maybe a mama and daddy smackdown needs to happen, not like a literal smacking but if she's hungry she can eat her lunch not the snack when she gets home. For homemade lunchables see if crackers would work instead of fancy bread that she'll waste and you get irritated over wasting x amount on uneaten/nibbled on bread. Thanks for sharing! :)
Erin H some days she comes home hungry, other days she doesn't. And then there are days where we do something immediately after school and I bring another snack with me. So basically it's a crapshoot lol. I could start reinforcing her to eat what's left in her lunch when she gets home
It's worth a shot... this is also from the point of view of a no child having chick so I could just be talking out of my nose on what would work. Fingers and toes crossed it gets better!
THE WADS My kids don't get a snack until they finish their lunches. We check their lunch boxes when they get home and if they're hungry they get whatever's left in there first for a snack.
I do this when my kids decide they don't have to eat what I make them then want to eat other things. If it becomes a pattern (instead of a once in a while occurrence) I save their lunches. They are only allowed to snack on what is left until the next meal time. There have been days of whining sure but its worked well to reinforce that we eat what mom and dad provide.
Re-read the package of the fig bars! There are 2 servings in each package of the bars, so that is 20 grams of sugar! I was devastated to learn this, because they are so good! Why would a company put 2 servings in a package like that, though? Because they know you'll eat both anyway, I guess.
Caren Ross you are totally right! I read it quickly and wrong! I assumed it said serving size 2… but it says servings per container. 😩😩 well I won't be buying these again LOL
The metal water bottles are the best. Keeps your water cold longer. I have two of the hydro flask water bottles (one 32 ounce and the other is 40 ounces). I use them both but I use the 40 ounce one more often for school and it is so worth it. Keeps the ice in there for 24 hours doesn't sweat at all and even when the ice melts the water (or whatever liquid you have in there) is still ice cold
For sure!! I love them so much! I don't have an adult size one though- I guess I should look into getting one! My workout water bottles are huge, but plastic, so they don't stay cold! I'll look for the 32/40 oz!
Cora Lodger yesss! Hydro flask is the way to go!:)
THE WADS lol
you could use tortillas for the homemade pizza lunchables and use cookie cutters to cut it!
uh great idea! may be too weak to hold and eat though.. I mean I could manage, but Avalina may just drop it all over the place, I'll have to try it out at home first! :)
I've thrown away so many straw water bottles until I found he straw cleaners on Amazon. Life saver!!!
uh!! Seriously!! Wish I would have found it sooner, but I 'm glad I found it now! lol
I have the lunchbox at 2:01 😂😂
Just so you know those fig bars are actually 2 servings in the package so it would have 20 grams of sugar!
have you tried my recipe for the chicken enchiladas thats been in my family for ages?
and do you need me to give you that recipe again because I will do it gladly.
LOVE YOUR VIDS ..BTW you have very beautiful kids :)
Thanks so much Brittany! That's so sweet of you to say! :)
Will you include Elanor's lunches when she starts school?
I'm sure they will! :)
I sure will!! Her's will be only a 'snack' We think she's only going to go for half day (8-12) but we have some leeway, we have paid for her to go full day so we have the option to keep her in longer, but we're going to feel it out at first and see how she adapts :)
Lol well I'll throw in my suggestions. As you've found with the lunchable, she pretty much wants to eat what other kids eat which unfortunately aren't the healthiest. So make or buy healthy versions of the fun stuff but keep your healthy sides dishes. Turkey or veggie corn dogs and hotdogs ( Morningstar brand), grilled cheese sandwiches, tacos, burritos, Mac and cheese and all the other stuff kids like. Have those as the "main dish" and keep your normal healthy sides like the Lara bars, veggies, fruits.
Oh and homemade chicken 'nuggets' and dip! how can I forget the all time kid favorite. *face palm*
I think that's the best too, that way they still get the normal kid stuff, but they get the healthy stuff too.
I don't eat much at lunch either haha :)
For the mould and thermos cleaning in general use hot water and bicarbonate of soda. Leave it to soak then it should bring out any nastiness. Thermoses with tea are disgusting
I'll have to try that next time!! Thanks so much!
I make my son's pizza "lunchables" with mini pita bread from Trader Joe's. They somewhat resemble the crust and taste better, in my opinion.
I tried looking for mini pita bread! I'll have to look for some next time I go to TJ! Thanks for the tip!
I love that lunch box
It is awesome, isn't it! We got it at Target! :)
try a string cheese with meat wrapped around it and cut in to bite size pieces and put lie 2 on a tooth poo and there kabobs
can you talk to her teacher next year(since it's almost summer) about what you expect her to eat?
Her teachers always encourage them to eat their health options first :) -- I figure her teachers have enough to worry about. :)
The fig bar actually said there were two servings, so 10g of sugar for half the package
uhhh Yes! I totally saw that! Thanks for mentioning it though! I definitely won't be buying those again! ... and here I thought they were 'healthy' bummer!
Yummm!!!!!!!
If she doesn't eat the granolas bars try to give them without the wrapper ❤
She knows how to open them, I'd rather keep the shut in case she doesn't eat them so they don't go bad :)
try english muffins for the pizzas
Good suggestion, thanks!! :)
At my school we have 7 days left!!!!! But we have final exams the rest of the week 😭😭 why do they always have to suck the fun out of the end of the year??😂😂
was i the only one in the first clip thought that this was an old video HAHA
Try English muffin pizzas
That's a great idea! Thanks!!
Julie Ma yes my kids love those! Toast them up wrap in foil so they stay warm. Maybe even close it like a sandwich and cut it up like mini pizza slices. If you have a pizza cutter makes it easier. Good luck! 🙃
YES
I understand obesity and all that but let kids be kids lunchables are the best ever... I’ll cut down the sugars but I can’t deprive them of the stuff childhood joys lol...
Was anyone else surprised she ate the cucumbers and hummus because it was cut the wrong way?
Why don't you do blogs that would be cool i would like to watch them
You are so awesome!! haha I post a weekend vlog every Tuesday! This week's will be long! :)
THE WADS thank you so much #bestyoutuberever
Is Eleanor better eater than Avalina? I think she is. :)
Short story long??? It's long story short lol😂
haha but I feel like my stories are neeever shorter.. I always tend to tell the longer version!
do you kids like brusselsprouts???
They sure do! They also like broccoli, and cauliflower -- and carrots and corn, but that's pretty much it! ... oh and bell peppers and zucchini- but I think that sums it up haha Could be worse!
That's pretty good actually. *thumbsup*
you should put some crackers cheese and some celery and tomatoes maybe she want that for lunch maybe such a kiss ass when my mom search that's what I fix my daughter 4 or 1 and I think your videos help me to see my daughter launch her school and she's like seven years old my daughter crackers hummus cheese tomatoes and lettuce again you get this comment are you going to try it out it takes ballet class
Thanks for the suggestions!! :)
If I need sauce in a packet lunch I put a small amount into a sandwich bag or tiny grip seal back. If the sandwich bag is too big, just chop off the excess. When you eat lunch just cut open the bag with your fork or teeth... Be a savage just kidding, you just need a tiny hole
Hi
Hey Bobbie! :)
Yes first view!
Since she likes the lunch meat and cheese but not the bread, why not try to make like a pasta salad for her? Throw in some cut up salami, pepperoni, cheese cubes, and some of her favorite veggies and toss with some ranch dressing. Or give her a mini corn on the cob. Or saute some zucchini, corn, bell pepper, and whatever other veggies she likes and throw in some chopped chicken or ground turkey. Just hang in there a few more days, school's almost over!
