This was great, just wondered if there's any other designers that do redesigns like this? It's really cool hearing the thought process behind the decisions.
exactly the type of content i needed, thank you. By the way i think it would be awesome to see you work on website design or redesign as well, I would love it and it would help me so much
Blocked purely out of click bait frustration. Enough garbage online no 1 video is so “important”that it’s worth supporting some desperate attempt at manipulating me using dark UX principles. Ironic considering this is about users’ experiences.
I enjoy your tutorial. Need more of something like this tutorial. It's the best way to learn. And it's not boring at all😅 your an amazing teacher. No extra boring talks only focus on what needs to know about redesigning. Thank you ❤ excited for next tutorials 🎉
More videos like this would be great, not many go into the small details such as spacing or even talk about what they are thinking about when designing.
Well the value on the thoughts and decisions is what makes this format interesting and good quality. Really helps me understand where we agree and disagree.
In the projects I did within my agency we always want to have the price and cta button at the top and bottom of the page. Or let it move along the scrolling. You want the buyers to be able to add it to their cart whenever they want. Personally, I dont like to search for the price on the page, but sometimes its just cramping in a cta field when there is loads of other stuff and information being shown. So maybe its not the button, but the amount and type of information you want to provide on the pdp. But yeah, clients tend to be pretty stuborn and want it all on the page, ignoring your arguments of information overload. I wonder what your view is on this. Cause I have had some clashes and discussions within my team or with clients.
I believe it's most important to have the price near the add to cart button so you know how much money you're committing to spend as you tap the button. The flow, the product, the customer, the brand familiarity, etc. all have a lot to do with how/when/where to display the price as well, which is why a one hour design isn't nearly enough time to solve this fully especially on a fictitious app. =)
@@mdsnotavailable Yes totally agree. I always want to have the price next to the add to cart button, which makes me sometimes cramping that thing in for the sake of.. but yea you're right, it depends on the client/brand. Some want to show everything they know and some like to keep it more minimal. I don't mind an extra step if it makes the whole thing more legible. Thanks
I feel it's a great way of learning - following your thought process. Need more of that!
Loved it. There is so much to learn and so much to relate to just watching other designers work. 🤘🏼

Love your videos - but a title change would probably bring more views bro. Something that emphasises the time constraint maybe 🤷♂

20:53 how did you make all of the rectangles small all at once?
More please MDS!
Please make similar videos without that time limitation so we won't miss out on the details.
Good format. I would like to see more of this

There are things I probably disagree with myself on too. Tough to get everything you want to get done in just an hour. =)
Beautiful! Keep more of these coming. Always love when you go and nudge frames in Figma live :D
Love this

Apple released Figma file specifically, so no need for other files.
This video was made before Apple released their Figma files
Great design decisions. More vids like this please
This wasn't boring at all.
Always happy to see new stuff from you, very usefull. I like this format, its all about The process and thoughts behind it.
Keep it up
Thank you Matt for this greate explanation, we would like more videos.
Initially I thought it looked good but at the end you can really notice the difference between the student and the master :)
Thank you. Would love to see more of these redesigns.
Thank you very much for this. I really learned a lot as a beginner but I would be glad if you can explain how the "use contrast" plugin works
👍 usecontrast.com/guide
some of your ui components dont pass minimum accessibility requirements
which ones?
Loved it.
