This is part 2 of 2 of my trip on the entire Grand Pacific Drive. Here's part 1, from Sutherland to Wollongong: ruclips.net/video/hD9QSC9_RRk/видео.html
A number of our members worked at the first Manildra building that you pass when it was a large paper mill that operated for almost 60 years. The large second Manildra factory includes Australia's largest ethanol plant using by products from the wheat they process.
Kiama is a special place for me. Went there to meet the reason why I wanted to study in Australia (though I didn't know it until a while after I arrived to the country) I wish I had explored it more, but from what I've seen makes the region as the most beautiful place I've ever set foot in. I like this half of the drive more. There's something about the open mountains and the open fields and the open sea together that makes it so beautiful. Great video as always! Can't wait for the next one.
Approaching Nowra, you pass by the first of the two Manildra factories that was a paper mill for about 60 years before Manillra took the building over. Manildra in fact supplied the mill with their starch. The second complex was once a Horlicks Malted Milk factor and has had massive extensions in recent years that includes Australia's largest ethanol plant.
Loving your video's. I live in Arnhem, The netherlands, but spent my youth in Australia, first in the Ipswich region in Queensland before our family moved to Shellharbour Shire. Barrack Point first and then Warilla. I went to Shellharbour Primary School and then on to Warilla High before things went a bit crazy. Been back a few times to see my family, I had three brothers living in the Wollongong area, one's moved back to Queensland. But those views sure bring back fantastic memories.
I spent 3 months in Nowra back in 1976 (47 years ago). I'm American and had some real problems learning to drive on the left side of the road. I made the trip to Sydney twice and mostly what I remember is the Kiama blowhole.
From the 19th September 2024, the speed limit on approach to Bomaderry/Nowra between the Hanigans Lane (22:02) to the Princes Highway (23:04) has been dropped from 60km/h to 50km/h.
This was another very enjoyable ride. I'm just wondering how you are able to get the exact font that is on the road signage for the on-screen info. Not to mention the exact images of the signs, themselves.
Did you know all ramp names in South Korea and Japan are called IC (interchange) and JCT (junction, JC in South Korea)? Here's what it means: IC: Expressway to non-expressway connections. JCT or JC in South Korea: Expressway to expressway connections. You mentioned Light Horse Interchange on other video, this would be called Light House JCT (or Light Horse JC in South Korea) in Japan. All IC and JCT ramp names are named after nearby locations.

Good choice of music as always
Thanks for this video! I live in Bomaderry close to the end of this video. If certain conditions happen I can smell the Starchworks.

16:17 Up ahead is a great stretch of beautiful Australian forest. Just the way I like it. Lush and diverse.

Very interesting. Thanks for the comment mate!

Such a good choice of music, and the drive is just phenomenal.
Very beautiful road!
Have been there 👍

I never thought I'd say this about the music on videos, but well chosen. Your choice of sound track really makes for a relaxing drive.
Thanks mate!
You actually drive into Bomaderry (where the factory is), Nowra for the most part is on the other side of the river. They are twin towns.
Thanks! I've always considered Bomaderry to be just a suburb of Nowra, though you're right that it is also a town in its own right.
Beautiful Austrálian City 🏡

Thanks, they are made in Photoshop and added in to Premiere Pro. The font is Highway Gothic

Can you do Tourist Drive 4 (jervis bay) next?
