I 69 starts in Michigan, at Port Huron, Michigan, and the Canadian Border. I live in Michigan and have driven 69 often to and from work in Port Huron. I have driven from Michigan to Texas many times. My eldest son was at Fort Bliss in El Paso, I drove his pickup from Michigan down to El Paso after he came back from Iraq. I have also driven to San Antonio and all over Texas with my husband, in his semi-truck. He was a truck driver. My husband passed away in 2020, and our middle son passed away in 2022, from Cardiac arrest. Our middle son was a special needs son, who loved watching your nephew, Levi. My son could relate to Levi, now every time I see Levi, in Kim's videos, I have tears in my eyes.

I really enjoyed the roadtrip! My other half “Jack” died almost three years ago. He was six years older than me. He was a gentleman also, he used to open car and building and home doors for me; carry anything I might be holding; did a lot of grilling and cooking so that I didn’t have to be the only one doing it; we shared cleaning chores; we both worked, me at Conoco, and him at Schwartz Auto Upholstery (with his father and brother) when we were living in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
    Love you guys,
    Windi

Afternoon Jami - I know I am late, so, so late, like 7 hours too late, lol, but my day has been entirely too busy! 😊 It’s wonderful you and Lester were able to squeeze a little time, in what I know are always busy days for you both, to treat yourself to a few hours away, from farm and animal duties because before you know it, you’ll be my age and wonder how all the years and time flew by so darn quickly. It just couldn’t have been a better end to this video than capturing an absolute sweet little butterfly landing on your flowers, to say she approved of your lovely purchase. It was just perfection....💕
I’ll be there tonight for Time Out Tuesday! ☺️

Good morning Jami and Lester. Thank you for showing me some more of Texas that I have never seen as far as I know. Glad you both enjoyed your lunch at Golden Corral and it was a time of remembrance from days gone by. That nursery had some very bright and beautiful flowers on display. I am a rose person but have only received them from a special someone once in my lifetime. The only other time was when my father passed away and the place I worked at took up a collection plus gave a bouquet of flowers. Hope you have a great Tuesday both of you and see you later if having TOT.

Hi Jami!! I live just north of Pittsburgh, PA. I have somewhere around 400 hostas. Very few doubles. But, check out the tags or ask the next time you go to the greenhouse. There are hostas that are grown just to be put out in the sun, heat, and are drought tolerant. There are also mini hostas. I have an entire garden dedicated to the minis. Right now there are about 60 different mini hostas in it. Most will only get to be less then 6 inches tall. But those definitely need to be in a mostly shady spot. Anyway, check on those sun loving hostas. They are well worth getting. They are perineal and look better and will become a huge mound in just a few years. Then you dig them up, split them and have more plants to put out in the sun.

We too found this nursery on our way home recently. I knew exactly where you were when you turned in. Seeing the piles of gravel and mulch I thought I was in the wrong place until I saw the greenhouses in the back. My husband sat on that same bench while I loaded my wagon with flowering plants. 🌼🌸🌺 The flowers have done quite well. I have also been to Kim’s Nursery in Huntsville. I have been mugged and assaulted in my own neighborhood. I have had my entire garden destroyed and stolen. They have tried breaking into my house. My house was shot up in Feb. 21. I love looking up things when you ask what they are, learning something new all the time: is a hotel designed for motorists, usually having each room entered directly from the parking area for motor vehicles rather than through a central lobby

We did like Golden Corral when it first came out. But won't go there now, even if it's half price!!! Last time we were there (in Colorado) it was dirty, kids were running everywhere, one even took a serving spoon out and ate off of it and put it back in the 'fresh' food and went on to the next with no adults in sight but us, tables dirty. We went to the front told them we would like our money back and why. We were only there 5 minutes or less and she remembered us because we were joking with her on the way in. We assured her it wasn't her, but under the condition we couldn't eat there. It was pretty bad.
Love the nursery and looking at the plants. Some I would have bought right there. 👍
    Cheers & Blessings 💕🌱

In the 50's they called motels Motor Inns, Motor Lodges, Motor Hotels. They are there for people who are traveling but not necessarily staying for a long time.

Oh my gosh Jami you are sooooo young! Bless your heart. Used to be there were motels and hotels. Motels were places you pulled up in front of your room and walked in. A hotel had a parking lot and you went inside to your room. Hotels were more common back in the day. At least in NE Arkansas where I was raised. We did not have many chain food or other stores. People actually owned and operated the businesses that we shopped at. Most town neighborhoods each had at least one small family grocery store in them. The kids were free to run around all day and play with friends! We could pick up coke bottles to turn in for candy money! We might even get to stick our hand up to our elbows in ice water to get a really cold drink from the drink machine...nothing better! In the summer it was the best treat ever to get to go to the ice plant with Gramp to get the days ice for the ice box/refrigerator and if you were lucky they would chip off a piece of ice for you to eat! And it felt soooo good for a few minutes to get out of the heat. We ate a lot of wild fruits, vegies, and nuts picked along the paths and along the river too. I soooo miss Fall when I had to go home to start school from a summer spent at the river cabin, but got to see all my friends next door and spent hours up in the persimmon tree eating the sweet fruits. Yum! So glad I got to grow up in the 1960's - 1980's. And I always wished I'd been born earlier. When there was even less mankind's destruction of our once beautiful land. I really miss mom and pop restaurants most of all, well I miss the forests the most.

Jami, I really must say that you are a lucky lady. Lester, you have warmed my heart this morning. Watching the video, you have gone up to a "10" with your gentlemenly ways. ( Is that a word?) Anyway, I guess I was warmly surprised by opening Jami's door and then by you taking the handle of the wagon to load the flowers. Yep, Jami is one lucky girl and you, Lester, could teach a lot of men just how to treat a lady. Yep, you are a "10". Thanks for the video and the song at the end. Great and God bless you both.
