I can’t even believe you’re talking about this. 🤯 I quit drinking wine 30 days ago and I seriously was just thinking about how much clearer my intuition is since I quit drinking. I wasn’t even a heavy drinker I just had 1 glass once in awhile, but I wasn’t sleeping well and the next day I felt terrible. So my guide’s literally said to me give up the wine and see what happens. I wouldn’t give up my clarity right now for anything. My anniversary is coming up and I am planning on having d'eau minérale. And yes it is a huge money saver. So glad you made this video especially when this something my guides thought important to talk to me about. Loving your new topics. ❤🙏💫
So glad you support your husband. My husband enjoys beer and wine too and I am good with that. 🙌

I started drinking alcohol around 14 … I am from Europe so it’s no big deal BUT my drinking was 50ml of Cinzano Vermouth, or a Beer, or a glass of Wine … never more, only at events or the club, and I never got drunk in my life 🤪 I continued like that throughout my life so it was like 2-3 times a month , sometimes none and this year I decided not to have at all but I ended up having some on our vacation, beer in Germany is a different experience 😂. So I did not had any since we came back in July and probably will not have again until we go to Europe again 😊 I always order hot water with lemon at restaurants now, or sparkling water with lemon, or non alcoholic beer sometimes. At home I drink organic coffee or matcha lattes (with homemade plant milk), organic teas and hot chocolate ❤

I used to drink a lot when I was younger as my motto then was work hard and play harder. As I got older continued this but 2016 my older brother took his own life because of alcohol and I decided then not to drink anymore. Now I might have one or two alcoholic drinks a year now if that.

I agree with you. One glass of wine and I am done. So don't drink. Socially it is difficult but worth it. Alcoholics are terrible to live with. Much love

Totally agree that being alcohol free gives sovereignty over your body, however, I reserve a special culinary place for it in my life. To enhance a deliciously prepared meal, with a full bodied red, is the way I want to interact it, without it taking over. In other words, Im saying yes, alcohol must be curtailed, without throwing the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak.

Very interesting to hear your relationship (or the lack thereof) to alcohol Helena.
I only drink maybe once every two weeks or so, as a change from my routine... And mostly during parties/social functions...
By the way, I was just wondering, what are your thoughts on coffee/caffeine consumption?
I feel that excess coffee sends my mind racing and makes me anxious...
I'd love to know your thoughts (maybe in a future video)!

I do love chocolate! Sugar is obviously terrible for one's body, but I do like a square or two of dark chocolate in the evening with a cup of tea 🥰 And I have a cup of coffee every morning! But it's mostly milk and a sprinkle of coffee lol I used to have a cup of hot chocolate every morning instead of coffee but my body started feeling more sluggish and off after having that for many years so I switched to coffee this year and feel a lot better with the substitution. It's so true about the coffee! I don't get the jitters as long as it's mostly milk and a little coffee haha 💕

Same thing with refusing suger. Since I don't eat or drink anything with sugar I feel so much energized and the values at my preventive examination are top. I am also judged when I refuse Softdrinks, Juice, cakes, cookies, deserts, bread anything which is processed with sugar. Sugar causes cancer and other illness, causes adiction to sugar. I don't care what other people say, if I say no thanks to a piece of cake. They always think I do it for my body shape. But I also have to say it works better to distance myself from what is said since I'm older.

I’ve said this before on other videos about this topic but i gave up alcohol, I mainly did it at first for health reasons as I have IBS but after giving it up 6 months initially I discovered that i didn’t really like it , I didn’t enjoy it , I didn’t need it, I only drank alcohol to cope with Anxiety & to be socially accepted
Next February it will be 7 years without drinking alcohol & it’s the best decision I ever made , be clear headed & be present always 👍

Thank you so much for this video Helena, it isn't said enough (because it goes against the grain) how alcohol has zero benefits and how harmful it can be, not just to the one who drinks but to the people around them. I know firsthand, because my father is a drinker and it damaged so much in my childhood. Now as an adult, alcohol doesn't have a place in my life and I couldn't be happier. My husband likes beer and wine and that's fine, as long as he's aware of his limits.

I haven't drank in 8yrs. I had brain surgery, and after surviving the surgery, decided to drink. It made my head hurt so bad. So ever since, not a drop for 8 years. I do feel so much better.🥰

One day I realized that I don't need to drink. I also hated the three day hangovers and decided it's just not worth it. I also travel solo a lot so it's a safety precaution to stay sober. I do save a lot of money. I do intermittent fasting so this saves me money too thus being able to travel so much. I agree with being more in touch and in tune with one's self whilst being sober😊

Hi sweet Helena, I have been 5 weeks now without drinking any alcohol ( I quite often do these breaks from "social drinking" , and/or I wonder if it will not stick for the most time). I feel much calmer and connected, too without alcohol and my sleep has improved (after a while 3 weeks apron) immense. I can also only say to anyone "give it a try" also.. it is nearly a rebellious act, at least, where I am living (Ibiza, Spain) and I can't agree, that the norm should be alcohol whenever you go out for a meal or meeting with friends/ people... I still have the feeling though, I can not hear my voice (intuition) very well at the moment... Merci 🧡

Love this! So true. I am thirty four and have never had a glass of alcohol. I have sipped a little wine and beer just to see what it tasted like. Tasted horrible to me! Alcohol is mostly a negative in our lives. I never saw a reason to start drinking it.

I once heard that a glass of red wine daily is beneficial to your health🤔. My grandmother's aunt lived up to 100 years. Her breakfast daily was a small glass of red wine with a raw egg inside. Was it the egg? wine? or both that kept her alive all those years? Her brother died at 120, but his breakfast was oatmeal🤔. I love life, so I drink a little wine here and there, an egg everyday, and oatmeal before bedtime😆 If you like cranberry juice, you might like "agua de jamaica😉" I love both😋

I have to say I Love the intro~ "I make videos on whatever I want, whenever I want" 😍 Yes!! Love that ✨️
Thank you for sharing on this topic! The point about not continuing the cycle of alcoholism really hits home to me. I have multiple immediate family members who are alcoholics as well as I have had multiple long term relationships with alcoholics (no doubt that was directly related to my experience growing up exposed to alcoholism) 😑 At this point in my life, I rarely drink. Like you, I love to feel vibrant, energetic, Clear and in tune with my body and intuition. Drinking definitely dulls all of that and honestly just makes me feel tired. However, I do love a glass of sparkling wine or a craft beer on special occasions to celebrate or when on a special date with my husband. I'm content with just the one drink in those occasions. What you mentioned about immediately knowing when a food or beverage is not good/does not agree with your system, is so important! I've worked on this a lot. It is a practice to listen to those cues instead of consuming something just because it is available or socially expected. I love these life-chat style videos Helena! 💛

I started having more depressive or angry episodes when drunk, plus feeling sick and dealing with hangovers was horrible. The last straw was having a terrible night throwing up after an insane amount of rum, tequila etc and with no sleep I had to endure a flight feeling like death. Strangers were even looking at me and a few asked if I was ok. I told myself I would never drink alcohol again. Apart from a few sips of mulled wine near Christmas I've not drank alcohol for just over a year.
When I looked into more information on what it does to our body I was even more put off.
I don't know if I will always never drink, there's a chance I might at some point, although really knowing it's poison is definitely off putting.
Thing is when I went vegan, despite me being a massive dairy chocoholic, I was able to switch over night because my morals and compassion outweighed my eating habits, with alcohol there's not the same moral pull to remain abstinent so that's why I can't say for certain that I'd never have another drink again.

It's expensive! You hit on the best reason for not drinking alcohol. Other than that, I would say that if a person drinks alcohol to enhance their experience of life it is a good thing. If it is being use to dull or escape experiencing life then it is a bad thing.
