when he said "I love you" to them, it made me cry because Cas is an angel, he's suppose to not get close to those under his protection, always a perfect soldier. For him to admit a very human emotion of love for them, was deeply moving. Misha said he's surprised that people can connect to a basically emotionless being but these moments make it clear why that is :)
what makes castiel so unique as an angel are his emotions, because angels are not capable of human emotions which is something that is mentioned frequently about castiel by other angels, one of the many reasons why castiel is my favorite character on the show, his journey, his story everything that he is, is beautiful

The fact that Castiel didn’t want to hurt him, even though he could, makes the first scene so much sadder. He’s an angel and he once lifted an anvil that weighed a ton. He could’ve hit Dean and knocked him out in once punch but he didn’t want to hurt him so he was about to let himself die trying to save Dean. It’s so upsetting 😭😭😭

@Faybionne Celestine Dean wasn't in his right mind, though. He was out of control and definitely would have killed Cas. Normal Dean wouldn't hurt him, but this Dean would.
One that I would add and probably put near the top of the list is in season 7 when Cass gets his memory back and especially remembers betraying Sam and Dean. Some of Misha's best acting.
I was heart broken and cryed myself to sleep the first time i saw season 13 episode 1 of Supernatural when Cas died. The scene when Dean, Sam and Jack are standing there at Castiel's funeral was too much for me, that was such as sad part.

An angel who took a Nephilim under his broken wings, that's the ultimate love! "Happiness is not in the having, is in being." Let me go keep on crying.
Cass was right at #4, it was stupid for the Winchesters to not handle being in solitary confinement and make a deal with Billie to end it. Both have literally been in Hell, so they should be able to handle Prison
Solitary confinement is a different kind of hell. The Winchesters have been in pain, and through hell, obviously. But they'd never just had *silence* and no action. Added to the fact that Lucifer's child was growing in a woman, and they could do nothing about it.

Honestly it was out of character for Sam too to make the deal with Billie he was literally in the cage with Lucifer and Michael themselves for longer than dean was even in hell at all

I'm watching this and thinking Castiel called them family and even Dean said hes family but what did Dean say to him in season 15 it just hurts and makes me want to cry and be mad at Dean because hes blaming cas for somthing he never done and hes making him feel guilty and pretty much it just makes it worse for Cas as he cant experience happiness either because he will die I feel SO SO BAD FOR CASTIEL
Castiel has a very bad habit of breaking my heart.😢 I still don't think he's all that wimpy; the issue is without his wings and the ability to teleport any longer since The Fall, his powers are rather limited. Plus, he's been human, so he now has a better understanding of human emotions, and it has given him a better overview of the human condition. He is an anomoly- an angel who is able to experience and express emotion. IMHO, that only makes his tragedies all the more heartbreaking. I have to say, the scene that broke my heart the worst was actually S.7, Ep. 1, Meet the New Boss. When Cas was running around doing crazy things under the influence of the Purgatory souls, it was actually frightening, but when he slaughtered a senator and her campaign staff, then realized what he'd done, and finally returned the souls to Purgatory and died(albeit briefly), that's what really did me in. Cas made me cry so hard, then he came back under the influence of the Leviathan only to be killed again was just too much. I know that was supposed to be Misha's swan song, but I'm eternally grateful the fan outcry brought him back. It's going to be miserable without SPN. Thank you, WW, for such a poignant video. Pardon the speechifying, but, you know me, lol!
angels commonly express human emotions: disdain and jealousy of humans and disgust and hatred for demons, fear of Lucifer (or really anyone stronger than them: it's pretty common to see crowds of cowardly angels cowering), lust and love for humans. and then there's Lucifer who *hates* God and simultaneously wants his attention.
#5 is especially hard for me because it basically read as domestic abuse. Castiel isn't even trying to fight back. He doesn't want to hurt Dean, he just wants him to stop. :(
Ik the mark changed Dean but in the earlier seasons, he socked Cass square in the face and held his fist in pain but now he can beat him like Janeet Van Dine
Destiel needs to happen already with a happy ending Castiel needs all the hugs and kisses for always helping protecting dean and Sam they really have one of the best angels 💕
I love the Hunter's Funeral that they give him because they are not only saying their "final" goodbyes to Castiel. They're also saying their final goodbyes to Jimmy Novak, Castiel's vessel. There's actually a good thing that comes out of this. Now Jimmy won't be possessed by a demon like his wife was.
Castiel clearly considers Dean and Sam as family as he wont give up on dean or Sam and he says he loves them as family and wouldn't let them die Castiel is my favourite character in supernatural and hes not gonna give up on them and that's just sweet :)
My question about the Empty is why was Castiel in his vessel form but Lucifer was a skeleton with wings? Is it cuz his Jimmy Novak is dead & Nick was still alive?

The only part of the first scene that made me cry is that I realized the writers had no clue what they were doing and they were gonna ruin a really cool plot device for those like myself who understand it's not only alright, but actually really cool to have a main character become outright overpowered (and I don't mean OP through ingenuity and traps, I mean they should be allowed to out muscle all but the biggest of bads. They did the same stupid stupid stupid plot error by not letting Sam use his Demon blood powers for way longer and giving us way more scenes). Obviously it doesn't work in the long run, but there is not ONE single reason anyone being logical can give to not letting us have at least a season of MoC Dean and another season of Demon Dean.
I bought an overcoat that looked exactly like Castiel’s, six days later my friend makes me watch the pilot of Supernatural. Coincidence? Idk. Divine fate foretold by an angel? Probably not, but it’s funny to think about.

The two times I cried were when dean almost killed cass, and I cried when Lucifer killed cass, a lot, I cried, a lot.
