I actually got ahold of a real S&W Brazilian contract gun earlier this year. Bought a U.S. Army one at the same time. I didn't have the heart to cut the barrel down. Those thing are history. If only they could tell stories. Many years ago I got the Smith & Resin version to carry. Got pretty beat up, had to glue the barrel back on at one time, and the hammer tip broke off somewhere. The Fedoraraiders hat looks fantastic. I was lucky enough to get one when he decided to sell it years ago. I think it was his personal hat for quite a while, or one of them at least. I'm fortunate to have a Herbert Johnson hat as well. I ordered it from Richard Swales himself. I want to say in 2000. I remember back then people would get the hats and reblock them. Really glad I just left mine alone. It's not perfect, but I like the provenance, as well as it being pretty close to an LC hat.
Are you guys like 3 feet tall? I ordered a bag and the strap is waaaay too short. Looks like a little purse. 'Whatprice' says they come with a leather strap, it's a tiny cloth strap. Waste of money!
The cloth strap is the original military strap that goes around the neck, not over the shoulder. The Indy Satchel replaces the original canvas strap with a leather one, which can be bought from different vendors, including What Price. There is usually a check box on the oder page that has the leather strap included with the bag.
@@NathanSmithFinley there is no box to check for the strap. The description specifically says: "These bags come with Leather straps as used in the Indiana Jones movies."
@@gobigrey9352 I would suggest contacting What Price and informing them of your situation. That you had ordered a bag with the strap, but that one was not supplied.

I supplied the belt for WPG to sample. It was a Lee Keppler from way back in 93
Thanks for the gear break down! Both of you guys have awesome gear!!

The Cairo look to me personally is more like a relaxed Indy look but still looks great overall!
Let’s gooooo!!!!
The mk7 on the bigger chap might be an Australian made one. Darker shade and internal divider is the clue.
The Cairo whip looked to me as 6ft length. 8ft is still a fairly long length and the one in movie definitely didn’t move like an 8ft.
Yeah, Indy was always dry cleaning his kit.
