I believe it is a 10 gallon, he'd probably want to go bigger to do a race week event, but it would be awesome. He has another set of wheels and tires for the street, and slip in mufflers for each zoomie pipe. It's mainly set up to do short cruises and some street racing now.
Fine, I'm not mentioning names! But it took me so long to get my backyard cleaned up. I gave a Mister my word, but now my Mom got in the Mix... Don't make it too spicy. You know your Aunt Ruth won't go near anything like that. But what she doesn't understand. And I've tried to tell her. Do you really think those meds are helping you ??? When I see it in front of my face she's up there in age. It's like doing a soundcheck. The Pee's & the Pop's !!!
These are Mallory Super Mags, they are external coil magnetos so you have to have a separate coil. The Vertex/Ronco/Hunt etc magnetos mostly were internal coil but they also made external coil mags as well.
@@darrellpalmer6461 Yes indeed. They are still very simple standalone units, the only wiring required is from the magneto to the coil, and then you just have a kill switch which goes to ground, but they do need a coil, or "transformer" to amplify that spark. Most of the work is done by the magneto generator itself though. Some brief history on them if you did not know, The Vertex magnetos were some of the earliest aftermarket mags available, they had a coil built in to the bottom of the body of the unit, but as years went on, power levels got higher, the need for more spark grew and that's when Mallory developed the Super Mag, and then beyond that MSD developed their own version which is an electronically controlled magneto still currently used by top fuel and high horsepower vehicles. It's sort of the best of both worlds other than the added complication of having to use 12v electronics with it. We like the old Super Mags because they are relatively inexpensive, simple, and produce a very hot spark. The best "bang for your buck" if you will.
It has! We're doing okay, getting back in the swing of things! I uploaded a video last week that kinda explained our absence as well if you didn't see it. Glad to be back!
I wish I could buy that thing. I'd get all the rats out of it and make it shiny and all chrome aluminum and stainless and I would call it a Raccoon rod.
Jimmy if you need help just ask me. I found your place in limestone. I don't normally share shit like this online. But I also had another friend called Jimmy. He had this 76 Jeep, he went & bought a 403 with a Valve Train issue. I'm telling you the truth. And I put in his Jeep I lost half my hair that night. Because I was just trying to get shit done. I made the cardinal mistake I blew in the Carberator just trying to put the fire out. But the F'n job got done...
No shirt, and a work apron. That’s the drip I’m working towards.

He likes his privacy and didn’t want to be shown so I just blurred him so we could still do a video on the car

Thanks for the info, most of my experience with magnetos is on late models and sprint cars and none of them had external coils.

In what alternate universe is this vehicle street legal?

The rat rod scene is being ruined .
So what crime did you commit that you have to blur your face
Why hide the guy's face? Fiendish war criminal on the run, or something? ;)
Whatever state allows that on the streets and highways I never want to live in.
Street legal “ish”
Why is the guy blocked out ??
This is a stupid video.
