Even though she's not my biological grandmother, I've definitely inherited traits from her. We both love to read and write. We love to watch the same movies. We love the same snacks. And since I've dyed my hair dark brown, cut it to my shoulders, and cut bangs, my mom says I even look a bit like her. So, even though baby isn't biologically Rose's, it will definitely get at least one thing from her. And when you're gone, baby will cherish the traits they got from you. 💚
when Rose started talking about sex encouraging labor, my mind just went picturing Rosie getting into labor while _doing it_ and then the kid would have to spend their whole life being reminded/annoyed by Rose that they were interrupted because of the birth

9:18 I know this one! Before watches were made and people needed to wake up on time, they used to light a candle at bedtime of which they knew the time it would take to burn down. Once the candle burned down it activaded a mechanism which made a loud sound.
I really wanted to just thank you both for sharing all this with us and even including the harder more sensitive parts too. Not like I’d expect anything less because you’re both brilliant, and I never usually comment on your videos but it just seemed right this time. Things are quite difficult for me at the moment and I can’t see much hope, but following your journey has given me a little bit of sunshine and I’ll be damned if I’m not here to see him / her born ♥️ Side note to Rose, OCD wise - I’m not sure if you have tried / heard of this before, but I find it helpful to write down on paper every single OCD thought and belief I have, even the really dark ones that make us feel ashamed and guilty. Then I read them outloud each day - or whenever I can, but more the better - and they eventually become less and less scary as the days go by. It can even be quite funny at times when that light bulb moment happens and they become so obviously irrational 🙈 It can be further helpfu if a loved one, so say Rosie, can hear some of these thoughts / beliefs and can act as a fact checker / reassurer. Remember that you’re not a bad person for having those thoughts, you can’t control what does and doesn’t enter your mind. But you can learn to control how you respond to them. Don’t push them away so quickly or criticise yourself, that doesn’t make them disappear only come back stronger. Accept their existance within your brain, even naming them if it helps. Then just like all your other thoughts, they will fade away making room for more generic / run of the mill thoughts again. and like I briefly mentioned above, fact checking can be really helpful - such as reassurance from loved ones, healthcare professionals and the internet (but only for limited use, avoid ‘those’ websites) Something else that might come in handy is where you allot time for each of you to be the “watcher of the baby breathing” which aims to give you some respite time from those overwhelming worries of responsibility and OCD intrusive thoughts. Other than that? TALK ♥️
