- After a year of testing the DAY has arrived! Let's see who gets the top spot in our herd of miniature milking goats! 🥰
Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

When we lived in Phx on the Tempe line. Me and my kids had no AC in the car we had to ice the car seats. We would play outside in 110 heat no problem

I’m 19 and every time I see a creator in some kind of farmhouse or homestead, I find myself thinking “yeah, so when I have my own...” before I remember that I’m literally still a teenager and I’ve never lived on my own

Lol, wearing a long sleeve at 70. Thats summer weather in Alaska. Made me smile at the difference. Also i get it. A 30 degree change is hard to adjust to
Sandra Westley that’s a great summer temperature for the UK to, very few days are warmer than that, then it’s called a heat wave, we might get 5 days in a year at 80 deg we then start with a hose pipe ban because everyone is watering there garden. Lol

Don't feel alone in that. Many people get relief from watching channels like this. It helps me fight my depression about my medical issues. I would love to have a few acres with goats, pigs, and chickens. My health keeps me from getting that so this is my little slice of heaven.

i mean it wouldn't necessarily be cutting since you still need to pay for food, medical care and maintenance for the goats but good luck!
@@Wwheaton for me it's just trying to be healthier (cuz goat milk is inherently healthier than cow's milk) without having to spend a lot for it. goat milk costs so much at a store -_-

Thanks so much for the long bonus video. On Thursday, I muttered to myself that life's crazyness poppped up atcha. My favorite part was the pumpkin, banana, apple taste test. Luna was hilarious as usual. Zorro and Winston were for the ladies only which is good. Pumpkin seemed to be the overall favorite, so maybe use pumpkin if any need some supplements or meds.
