@@tillibrookssheep6616 the book is very realistic to how animals in the natural world are. So once Bambi gets a little bit older she starts to distance herself to push him to not need her. She also leaves him a lot and it makes her seem annoyed with him when he cries for her
Every time I cry, like the first time I “see” her death. I'm glad Disney didn't show us her dead body because I wouldn't have been able to handle that as a kid. I don’t know why, but Mufasa’s death never caused such negative feelings and there were no thoughts “if only they didn’t show his dead body.” I watched cartoons at the same age.
I think it’s the way they were presented or the fact that it’s not shown made the impact harder. The search for Bambi’s mother, the implications of The Great Prince’s statement, Bambi’s tear. With Mufasa, we already know that he’s dead from the get go the moment he fell into the stampede. But with Bambi’s mother, the feeling and dread sinks in like a slower burn that hits deeper.
Sort off topic regarding this video but. Everyone seems to say that the death from the first movie messed up a bunch of kids. I can see why it's so heart crushing but really? That bad to make such a big deal out of. If anything I feel like the man's "voice stick" from the sequel was a far more unsettling concept given how it was a deer call shown from the perspective of a faun. A noise that toyed with a baby deer's feelings in order to get it out in the open to be an easy target. No joke, a chill ran down my spine when this video ended with the words "I'm here".
"I'll always be w/ you, even if you can't see me" Littlefoot's mother said a similar line in The Land Before Time. whats w/ old children's movies and having the dying/dead mommies saying similar, powerful lines like that? 😭
Funny story. Before I watched this movie I remembered I saw a image of bambis mother on the internet. It showed her bleeding to death. 7 year old me thought it was a real scene from the movie. When I was 9 I finally watched the movie. And when bambis mother got shot. I was expecting the image I founded on the internet to appear. It never came. I was so confused to the point I started to lose interest. Honestly this movie made me more confused than scared. Btw I am shocked bambi is a male.
That is just fanart not the real thing. I saw Bambi when I was little and never saw that scene like on Google images. I thought Flower was a girl honestly XD!
the fact that her last line is "i'm here" and then bambi wakes up and thinks he hears her calling to him. then he walks out onto the meadow, following her voice and it turns out to be a deer call really messed with me.
@gerdtt79 in this case it works other way around because both are leaders and passed it down to their sons, only difference one had to die before it was passed down

Thanks, now I wanna cry my heart out 😭😭😭
she's so sweet
I have so much tears, I miss this!
Bambi 2 was surprisingly good
It is arguably better than the first one, which is something you don’t normally experience from Disney sequels
I feel that the movie focuses more on the story while the the first has music that co-exists with the scenes rather than just background music, and I like that duality.
This reminds me of my Dad and grandmother his Mom. She died when he was only 9 years old. He remembered her so fondly but would never talk about her to anyone unless someone did something that reminded him of her. I did a lot of things that reminded him of her at first he was furious but then he told me a few things out of no where. Now he’s gone too but I do things that bring me closer to them or put my heart at ease
Bambis mom is much harsher in the book.
How
Really? In what way?
@@tillibrookssheep6616 the book is very realistic to how animals in the natural world are. So once Bambi gets a little bit older she starts to distance herself to push him to not need her. She also leaves him a lot and it makes her seem annoyed with him when he cries for her
@@teacupsandfairies692 thank you
Every time I cry, like the first time I “see” her death.

R.I.P Bambi’s mother she was the most kindest dear to her young prince Bambi
My childhood
"Don't look back, keep running!" - Bambi's Biological Mom [kept running]
"Don't look back, keep running!" - Bambi's Adoptive Mom [turns back]
Her name is Mena. He refuses to lose her like he lost his mom.
cada vez que he visto esta pelicula he llorado como un bebe, y lo seguire haciendo, es simplemente un maravilla
Bambi II actually slapped, made me cry.
"I'm always with you. Even if you can't see me."
It's The Land Before Time all over again, Jesus Christ ☠️
land before time was AFTER Bambi
@@lunak1391 and land before time was WAY BEFORE the second movie.
Omg the last part is making me cry 😭💔
I’m not surprised; he’s seeing her again, in the midquel, Bambi & The Great Prince of The Forest, but it’s a dream.
After reading the source material, I can't see this movie the same way ever again.
バンビの母可愛い
Tbh, her death hurt young me more than Mufasa's.
I fucking luv autumn 🍂
Прям как мило вернутся в былое детство.... ✌️😀🤧
優しいママ大好き❤
I literally tearing up again 😭
A Disney sequel just made me cry!
This is the cutest moment I've seen.
"I'll always be w/ you, even if you can't see me"
Littlefoot's mother said a similar line in The Land Before Time. whats w/ old children's movies and having the dying/dead mommies saying similar, powerful lines like that? 😭
If Bambi 3 ever happens we need at least a few scenes with both great price and his wife
Personally I'll be scared if Disney makes a Bambi 3 because I'm scared they'll ruin Bambi's mom
Lovely,sweet to cute❤❤❤
I remember crying a lot when I saw her die for the first time.
Sarabi is Bambi's Mother
Mufasa is Great Prince
Simba is Bambi
Nala is Faline
Friend Owl is Zazu
Timon is Thumper
Pumbaa is Flower (Don't ask me)
Flower makes sense lol
You got flower who smells nice and pumba who smells like pure poo lol
Oh is Ronald like scar? Or....? Im not sure
Bambis mother is Mufasa. Gender doesn't mean everything
@gerdtt79 in this case it works other way around because both are leaders and passed it down to their sons, only difference one had to die before it was passed down
Not a fan of the midquel but that dream scene with her is worth it .
Thank you😊
This movie is the first concrete reason why I began to hate hunters with every fibre of my being in the ripe age of 6.
He miss her mom.😢
Hinawa mother 3 core
Bumbees mom!!! Uuughhhaaaahhh 😭
Bambi 2 completely ripped off The Land Before Time with that "even if you can't see me" line.
It shouldn't have been made as a between-quel. Would have been a proper sequel if Disney had liked sequels
I don’t really think it was much of a ripoff - it’s a fairly typical thing to tell your children
😊
The shotting should not kill a deer without antler so bambi mom is a doe.
i know all of the lines, but they are definitely dependent on each other. I can't recite the lines by themselves, i need the line before them
Me & my mum❤ 4 sure
