Ichigo Ichie (from "Peace On Your Wings")

"Ichigo Ichie,” meaning, “one chance, one meeting,” or, “this moment will never be repeated,” is one of the central themes in the musical, “Peace On Your Wings.” It is the anthem in the show, encouraging people to cherish the moment, even in the most difficult of times. The Ohana Arts all-youth 2020 cast of, “Peace On Your Wings” would like to dedicate this song to people around the world united in fighting COVID-19. How often have we wished for time to stand still so that we could spend more time with family, take up a new hobby, do a thorough cleaning of our house, have heart-to-hearts with friends, and so much more? Now that the world has come to a standstill, giving us the gift of time wrapped up in the silver lining of this pandemic, “Ichigo Ichie" reminds us to appreciate the positives in an otherwise uncertain, yet fleeting, time in our lives.
