I think Stray Kids haven't appointed a new main vocalist and also won't appoint one in the future, I believe they just split the lines between Seungmin, Chan and Han depending on who fits the lines best
I'm only going off the online kpop members and what that says, it's how I initially learn groups, and that one there claimes seungmin is a main vocal. However I haven't fully checked what JYP have actually said officially.

i'm a full seungmin stan on terms of vocal skills, he's so underrated because usually people think that reaching higher notes makes a singer better than others when there's many other things to look for on a good singer. seungmin has a really good technique and he has a more than stable voice. in my opinion he deserved that first place.

Chan is definitely underestimated, interms of vocal techniques(breathing skills, abundant breath support, skilled vocal registers..) and the ability to showing emotions through singing. In fact, Chan's vocal range is similar to Jisung, which may be surprising if you haven't pay attention to how low he goes in Side effects and how high he goes in District 9 and I am YOU. I think people should give him more credit how good a vocalist he is, which is almost not what people associate him with, despite he is already a talented and professional producer and songwriter.
Oh chan is fantastic, he has really good vocal potential, only reason I put him below han is because his technique is ever so slightly more unreliable, however his range is great and he is a fantastic singer. And I think he probably has the most potential as a vocalist.
I think that's probably why he really shines in the more emotional songs like voices or chronosaurus, his voice gives me chills every time I listen to them.
I honestly knew seungmin would be first because lately his voice is just wow, I think Lee know has improved a lot since debut and you explained it so well. Could you also please do got7 next? They have good vocals.
Im a new stay. Although I am not Seungmin biased, I really love his voice! I know he will be in the 1st place. And if not, Im gonna destroy this whole world *jk lol
Even if Seungmin doesn't have that wide of a vocal range he does so well within his supported range. He has a good placement, stable in mid belts, nice falsettos, also have a fairly smooth transition to his lower and upper registers, really open and resonant sound, can also go pretty low, I think he also has the best mixed voice in the group. Seungmin's pretty stable until G#4 or A4. I think the only thing I can pick off of Seungmin is his agility, stamina, and his vibrato sometimes sounds weak, and yeah, he becomes tight when he goes too high. I know JYP doesn't have the best vocal coaches so if they just get him a great vocal coach or someone from SM honestly then he can hugely improve at a faster pace.
I think Jeongin's place is pretty fine. Even tho he is from the official vocal line in comparison I.N is still growing as a singer, I think you can notice how much he improves every comeback and his color is really unique tho, wich is something good because you can see something special in him from the rest of the groups, maybe is not that strong yet. Maybe he needs a little more of confidence... idk , I notice all of the clips here are basically from predebut to first comeback:( and there's a live he made with Seungmin where they were playing the piano and signing live, you can notice there how much he has improved since debut, since skz is basically 2 years old as a group I think Jeongin will be a completely different artist in a few years.
I think he should've at least moved ahead of Changbin and maybe Minho. Like you said, the clips used in the video were all from 1st 2 comebacks or predebut survival show. His vocals have improved considerably, and I don't usually say things like that. His voice appears a lot fuller and less "stuck," is how I'd put it. His placement has also improved a fair amount. While he still has issues (Chronosaurus' high note is very inconsistent for him - I've seen it done really well, but he also occasionally pulls chest voice up a bit too much, and cracks), I wouldn't put him below someone like Changbin who - though has a pleasant voice - evidently lacks extensive vocal training.
He is a good singer, but I think from a technical standpoint, as in his trained vocal technique, simply isn't as complex or trained as the other as of yet. He is technically still going through puberty so it's probably a similar situation to NCT Haechan where his vocals will really settle and be far easier to train when he reaches the end of his growth period. It's dangerous for undeveloped vocal chords to learn certain techniques so they may be holding off for his future vocal health.
ola de mar Samuel is ranking from a technical standpoint, and although I.N’s parts sometimes have a unique impact to them that stand out in a song, it doesn’t mean he’s technically great. Changbin, at least I can tell, has a much healthier voice, even if it’s a little basic and even if he doesn’t use it much.
minho could easily become a main vocalist if he got more training.. the fact that he spent his life traning to become a dancer and was a trainee for only 1 month yet he sounds this good .. also if you compare his voice during the survival show and his voice now you can see how much he improved in that short period... i still can't believe he was eliminated for having a weak voice....
I think he has a lot of potential! Not that he is bad now by any means but I think with more experience and training he could get really amazing. He naturally has a really pleasant voice.
Bulletproof Diamond WINSTAR he was a trainee for a months. He joined the company in mid 2017. and he only practiced dancing! Look at him now I’m so proud of him
Finally people realize that Minho has a good voice, I'm a little sad because maybe most people didn't realize it in the previous era because of the small vocal parts. But I'm happy now because I'm not alone :)
as for seungmin, i really wish we could see more of his lower register because in his part in the intro of side effects he sounds amazing and i really hope stray kids will utilize his vocals for lower registers more in the future
I agree with everything. Yes IN is a part of the vocal line but I think his position in this list is fair. I would attribute it more to the fact that he's the youngest. I feel like he's a little bit conscious when he sings which makes him sound hesitant at times. I say this because if you compare his singing when they are just having fun, particularly his trot songs, he sounds more confident and full. Yes he did improve from the vids showed here, but so did the others. I'm really glad though that everyone took a step forward after woojin left.

Regarding I.N, he's one of my favorite idols out there but despite it, I want to thank you for giving your genuine thoughts on his voice. It's hard to come across truthful opinions now a days on this platform, as most people are overly positive and never voice their complaints. Though it came in the form of criticism towards someone I quite like, I'm glad to see that there are still kpop related content creators that will give their honest, authentic feedback.
i'm so happy that seungmin got recognized for his vocal ability! this is a really good video, i've been waiting for someone to rank stray kids' vocals even if they aren't the strongest singers in the world collectively.
what I like about stray kids is that even though they debuted not exactly as the strongest vocal group you can CLEARLY hear their improvement through time, specially now that they re-recorded most of their older songs. is super satisfying to hear the difference in their voices now.

I'm so glad i found your video, it's good! Also your ranking is similar to mine!! I think jeongin-changbin-minho is pretty much at the same level now. Jeongin is definitely picking up to his title now bcs i noticed his huge improvement (not as nasally, hit the notes more comfortably) after woojin left. Also I agree that changbin has so much potential to grow his vocal IF he wants to do it. Minho has more vocal ability, however he's also more inconsistent on live performances. I think he needs to be more confident. As for the top ranks i think han and seungmin is also on the same level. They are so different with each other. Seungmin is well trained, he got all his techniques right, more like book smart. Han, on the other hand, is street smart. He is very versatile, brave, and confident that it makes his pre-existing talent stood out.
love this! really glad to see minho where you placed him, i've always loved his voice so much and i really agree that he's improved and shown a lot more recently. i agree with most of what you said (i do wonder if hyunjin should be higher because of his recently charlie puth cover but honestly i am so in love with changbin's voice that not even one part of me wants to argue that). i could be wrong but i always kind of thought that felix has a lot of potential if he had some training, just based on his apparent natural range - it was interesting to hear your thoughts on him specifically! i probably would have placed chan above han just because i love chan's falsetto and maybe also some personal preference for his voice tone, but your the first person i've seen who places them more or less in the same order that i would!

If Changbin's singing voice is decent than my voice is horrible, he sounds more than decent to me. I think he has one of the best voices in Stray Kids because of his nice tone and he's always on pitch. Plus he can switch his voice nicely from raspy/growly to warm and flowy.
I SINCERELY HOPE THAT LEE KNOW WOULD RELEASE HIS FULL COVER OF "BITTERSWEET BY CRUSH" like that boy's vocal has potential, his voice is soothing and his voices suit to listen especially in cafe or coffee places.

@Army Forever Hmm not really? Vocalracha isn't an official position or anything, and everyone else above him also has the "vocal" position, with the exception of Changbin bc he prefers rap. Stray kids doesn't have main/lead positions.
@Army Forever I don't think you should be so caught up in another person's rankings ^^ If you feel like he sounds good to you then that's fine, I just agreed based on what I've heard from Skz (my ult group) and other idols. Nobody said he couldn't sing, but if he has to be ranked higher, then someone else would go down which I don't agree with personally. And since you brought up JYPE, Jeongin himself said that he failed auditions at other companies and he had to audition at JYPE three times before getting in. BUT Being an idol isn't all about singing, it's about the hard work, good attitude and great performances, and he's done well at those! Sorry if I seemed a little harsh, it's just a little wish of mine to see him improve further haha
Stray Kids' LeeKnow has so much "Potential" tbh. He may not be "technically" the best Vocalist but it had alot of potential! He can belt notes despite being only a "Vocalist". His Belts on Mirror and 3rd Eye is *Chefs kiss*. His verses on Phobia and his bridge on Hello Stranger. One of Minho's strengths is his voice is full of emotions, his voice actually suited a Sad songs or Emotional songs just like Levanter, Insomnia, On Track and etc... He has a Potential to sing a solo OST for a kdrama tbh. Also his speaking voice is kinda naturally High Pitch which gave him a potential to belt highnotes. I think his weakness is his airyness and sometimes will go flat when singing live. I was thinking why he has less lines in God's Menu, I can imagine him singing the Verses that Chan, Han and Seungmin is singing. Seungmin's vocals need recognition he really should be the Main Vocalist. But some are saying that Jisung should take that position cause he can belt highnotes. But I think Seungmin is technically better than him, Jisung can sometimes strain when belting highnotes as he uses his throat too much but I agree hes a great vocalist aswell, i like his tone than Seungmin but Seungmin is still better in my opinion. I think Hyunjin will ranked Higher by now, his lines in their Psycho Cover tho. I dont think we get to talk abt Chan's vocals that much, I noticed he usually has the most lines in their songs. Its because I think his tone fits their Style of Songs or concept. Changbin has alot of Potential tho, I just watched him on "King of Masked singer". The fact that we are all worried that Woojin aka "SHARK" left they will lost a Main vocalist. But no they dont lack anything at all...instead more members Improved their Vocal Skills such as Innie and Mingo. And theres Seungmin now proving he can now be the Main Vocalist, theres Chan who has a wide range and Han can handle hitting High Notes or adlibs. And theres LeeKnow who has a Beautiful Falsetto, he can Belt Highnotes too(Mirror), he can also Slay Hard Parts(3rd Eye). Jeongin too who as a unique voice and he has alot of Potential, I honestly like his verse in Easy. Hyunjin improved alot aswell, he slayed his psycho performance.

I never expected you to put minho in a high rank. But i do agree he improved alot, he can easily be the lead vocal of the group. If you watched their live performance in 3rd eye...his lines their is pretty high and is hard to sing yet he slays it. Idk but I prefer vocal lino than rapper lino...he can rap but his voice is something else. Also if you have listened to voices you will hear a falsetto their and lino is doing that. He never recieved any vocal training but he can improved and level up. That the reason why hes my bias

I agree with the ranking and Seungmin being 1st. He has a good vocal technique and nice vocal color, he's versatile and stable and I'm glad he's open to more improvement. Compared to Jisung, he doesn't have enough vocal power to be able to reach high notes like him but what people forget is that he's a baritone and his voice might sound too strained if he sings notes out of his comfortable range without training. However, I believe he has the potential to higher notes. Him taking Woojin's lines in Get Cool and being able to hit Woojin's high notes in Voices is pretty impressive for a baritone. Of course, high notes shouldn't be the only indication of a good vocalist, vocal technique and stability should be considered too and he excels in both. We never got to see more of him before until recently so I believe we'll be able see more of what he's capable of in the future. Imo, he deserves that 1st place and the main vocalist position. OT but it's always annoying to see how people talk about how he's underrated in yt comments rather than talking about his talents. The word underrated has seriously lost its meaning. If you talked about how his vocals are underrated out of the fandom, i won't disagree because I also hope he gets more recognition from other people too. Talking more about how underrated he is won't change anything, instead that'll be the only thing he would known for. In seungmin's case, he is a light baritone that's why his color sounds soft, in side effects you can hear his lower range and in 19.
I've always wondered why people didnt talk about Seungmin's vocal. THANK YOU SAM!! Every single time I hear him sing my heart just flutters... His voice is so gentle and he has such good control with it. I totally agree with what you've said about his nasality. He actually caught my attention because of his nasality and also because of how recognizable his voice is and how well he uses that nasality in his singing.

Chan is definitely underestimated, interms of vocal techniques(breathing skills, abundant breath support, skilled vocal registers..) and the ability to showing emotions through singing. In fact, Chan's vocal range is similar to Jisung, which may be surprising if you haven't pay attention to how low he goes in Side effects and how high he goes in District 9 and I am YOU.
I think people should give him more credit how good a vocalist he is, which is almost not what people associate him with, despite he is already a talented and professional producer and songwriter.

Oh chan is fantastic, he has really good vocal potential, only reason I put him below han is because his technique is ever so slightly more unreliable, however his range is great and he is a fantastic singer. And I think he probably has the most potential as a vocalist.

Even if Seungmin doesn't have that wide of a vocal range he does so well within his supported range. He has a good placement, stable in mid belts, nice falsettos, also have a fairly smooth transition to his lower and upper registers, really open and resonant sound, can also go pretty low, I think he also has the best mixed voice in the group.
Seungmin's pretty stable until G#4 or A4.
I think the only thing I can pick off of Seungmin is his agility, stamina, and his vibrato sometimes sounds weak, and yeah, he becomes tight when he goes too high.
I know JYP doesn't have the best vocal coaches so if they just get him a great vocal coach or someone from SM honestly then he can hugely improve at a faster pace.
I think Jeongin's place is pretty fine. Even tho he is from the official vocal line in comparison I.N is still growing as a singer, I think you can notice how much he improves every comeback and his color is really unique tho, wich is something good because you can see something special in him from the rest of the groups, maybe is not that strong yet. Maybe he needs a little more of confidence... idk , I notice all of the clips here are basically from predebut to first comeback:( and there's a live he made with Seungmin where they were playing the piano and signing live, you can notice there how much he has improved since debut, since skz is basically 2 years old as a group I think Jeongin will be a completely different artist in a few years.
I think he should've at least moved ahead of Changbin and maybe Minho. Like you said, the clips used in the video were all from 1st 2 comebacks or predebut survival show. His vocals have improved considerably, and I don't usually say things like that. His voice appears a lot fuller and less "stuck," is how I'd put it. His placement has also improved a fair amount. While he still has issues (Chronosaurus' high note is very inconsistent for him - I've seen it done really well, but he also occasionally pulls chest voice up a bit too much, and cracks), I wouldn't put him below someone like Changbin who - though has a pleasant voice - evidently lacks extensive vocal training.
I honestly love Jeongin's vocal color so much, his parts are often some of my favorites, no matter what people want to say
He is a good singer, but I think from a technical standpoint, as in his trained vocal technique, simply isn't as complex or trained as the other as of yet. He is technically still going through puberty so it's probably a similar situation to NCT Haechan where his vocals will really settle and be far easier to train when he reaches the end of his growth period. It's dangerous for undeveloped vocal chords to learn certain techniques so they may be holding off for his future vocal health.
ola de mar Samuel is ranking from a technical standpoint, and although I.N’s parts sometimes have a unique impact to them that stand out in a song, it doesn’t mean he’s technically great. Changbin, at least I can tell, has a much healthier voice, even if it’s a little basic and even if he doesn’t use it much.

I agree with everything. Yes IN is a part of the vocal line but I think his position in this list is fair. I would attribute it more to the fact that he's the youngest. I feel like he's a little bit conscious when he sings which makes him sound hesitant at times. I say this because if you compare his singing when they are just having fun, particularly his trot songs, he sounds more confident and full. Yes he did improve from the vids showed here, but so did the others. I'm really glad though that everyone took a step forward after woojin left.

Regarding I.N, he's one of my favorite idols out there but despite it, I want to thank you for giving your genuine thoughts on his voice. I'm so glad i found your video, it's good! Also your ranking is similar to mine!! I think jeongin-changbin-minho is pretty much at the same level now. Jeongin is definitely picking up to his title now bcs i noticed his huge improvement (not as nasally, hit the notes more comfortably) after woojin left. Also I agree that changbin has so much potential to grow his vocal IF he wants to do it. Minho has more vocal ability, however he's also more inconsistent on live performances. I think he needs to be more confident. As for the top ranks i think han and seungmin is also on the same level. They are so different with each other. Seungmin is well trained, he got all his techniques right, more like book smart. Han, on the other hand, is street smart. He is very versatile, brave, and confident that it makes his pre-existing talent stood out.

love this! really glad to see minho where you placed him, i've always loved his voice so much and i really agree that he's improved and shown a lot more recently. i agree with most of what you said (i do wonder if hyunjin should be higher because of his recently charlie puth cover but honestly i am so in love with changbin's voice that not even one part of me wants to argue that). i could be wrong but i always kind of thought that felix has a lot of potential if he had some training, just based on his apparent natural range - it was interesting to hear your thoughts on him specifically! i probably would have placed chan above han just because i love chan's falsetto and maybe also some personal preference for his voice tone, but your the first person i've seen who places them more or less in the same order that i would!

If Changbin's singing voice is decent than my voice is horrible, he sounds more than decent to me. I think he has one of the best voices in Stray Kids because of his nice tone and he's always on pitch. Plus he can switch his voice nicely from raspy/growly to warm and flowy.
Seungmin has a crystal clear voice, his pronunciation is always clear and good that's why he's my second favorite voice color in kpop beside SVT dk❤

@Army Forever Hmm not really? Vocalracha isn't an official position or anything, and everyone else above him also has the "vocal" position, with the exception of Changbin bc he prefers rap. Stray kids doesn't have main/lead positions.
@Army Forever I don't think you should be so caught up in another person's rankings ^^ If you feel like he sounds good to you then that's fine, I just agreed based on what I've heard from Skz (my ult group) and other idols. Nobody said he couldn't sing, but if he has to be ranked higher, then someone else would go down which I don't agree with personally.
And since you brought up JYPE, Jeongin himself said that he failed auditions at other companies and he had to audition at JYPE three times before getting in. BUT Being an idol isn't all about singing, it's about the hard work, good attitude and great performances, and he's done well at those! Sorry if I seemed a little harsh, it's just a little wish of mine to see him improve further haha

Stray Kids' LeeKnow has so much "Potential" tbh. He may not be "technically" the best Vocalist but it had alot of potential! He can belt notes despite being only a "Vocalist". His Belts on Mirror and 3rd Eye is *Chefs kiss*. His verses on Phobia and his bridge on Hello Stranger. One of Minho's strengths is his voice is full of emotions, his voice actually suited a Sad songs or Emotional songs just like Levanter, Insomnia, On Track and etc... He has a Potential to sing a solo OST for a kdrama tbh. Also his speaking voice is kinda naturally High Pitch which gave him a potential to belt highnotes. I think his weakness is his airyness and sometimes will go flat when singing live. I was thinking why he has less lines in God's Menu, I can imagine him singing the Verses that Chan, Han and Seungmin is singing.
Seungmin's vocals need recognition he really should be the Main Vocalist. But some are saying that Jisung should take that position cause he can belt highnotes. But I think Seungmin is technically better than him, Jisung can sometimes strain when belting highnotes as he uses his throat too much but I agree hes a great vocalist aswell, i like his tone than Seungmin but Seungmin is still better in my opinion.

And theres Seungmin now proving he can now be the Main Vocalist, theres Chan who has a wide range and Han can handle hitting High Notes or adlibs. I agree with the ranking and Seungmin being 1st. He has a good vocal technique and nice vocal color, he's versatile and stable and I'm glad he's open to more improvement. Compared to Jisung, he doesn't have enough vocal power to be able to reach high notes like him but what people forget is that he's a baritone and his voice might sound too strained if he sings notes out of his comfortable range without training. However, I believe he has the potential to higher notes. Him taking Woojin's lines in Get Cool and being able to hit Woojin's high notes in Voices is pretty impressive for a baritone. Of course, high notes shouldn't be the only indication of a good vocalist, vocal technique and stability should be considered too and he excels in both. We never got to see more of him before until recently so I believe we'll be able see more of what he's capable of in the future. Imo, he deserves that 1st place and the main vocalist position.
OT but it's always annoying to see how people talk about how he's underrated in yt comments rather than talking about his talents. The word underrated has seriously lost its meaning. If you talked about how his vocals are underrated out of the fandom, i won't disagree because I also hope he gets more recognition from other people too. I've always wondered why people didnt talk about Seungmin's vocal. THANK YOU SAM!! Every single time I hear him sing my heart just flutters... His voice is so gentle and he has such good control with it. I totally agree with what you've said about his nasality. He actually caught my attention because of his nasality and also because of how recognizable his voice is and how well he uses that nasality in his singing.
Seungmin has work so hard to get his voice where it is now. He fully deserves first place and to be main vocalist ❤️

even as a person whose bias is jeongin i have to agree with his placement. i love the sound of his voice but i cant deny that skill-wise he has a loooong way to go. honestly, seeing him getting better and better has been a pleasure and i cant wait to see him in top 5 someday lolol

Y’all keep commenting about Minho becoming main vocalist, but it doesn’t just come like that. Yes he is improving but idk about y’all but all of you saying that as Minho is improving he is sure to get main vocalist, it feels like y’all are just disregarding Seungmin. It’s like y’all r legit saying even if Seungmin continues training hard, when Minho becomes good enough, jyp will disregard Seungmin’s effort and just throw Minho as the main vocalist.
Y’all also need to think about the effort Seungmin put to be stray kids main vocalist. Being the main vocalist of a group puts lots of pressure on you.
