- Barbie Fashionista Dolls - Adding to My Collection! I can't stop collecting Fashionistas from Barbie. I love the diversity and the floral prints this year definitely make me happy!

I collect Barbie, Monster High, Ever After High, Rainbow High, LOL OMG, Na Na Na Surprise, Disney Princess Dolls and so many more! I love fashion dolls and I believe that dolls are the best toys for people to improve empathy and to explore their creativity!
There was a Dutch paper that did an article on the Fasionista dolls this week, I loved that they did that, but there were so many negative comments on Facebook... I don't get why people would be offended by dolls that celebrate diversity.
Normally I pass on Fashionistas, because I'm all about that articulation, but that burgundy hair girl is definitely an exception!

With Inflation so bad , it's nice that you can still get such a nice doll with great diversity, nice hair, different heights and sizes and I especially like it when they have earrings all for under $10.00.
Technically they did hike a couple of bucks at least at Walmart retail they used to be $8 and some change. And then Target they were more expensive at $9.99 but it seems like they're $9.99 everywhere now, which is still totally affordable! And I am really loving the new wave. I'm actually pretty excited to get the one with hearing aids even though she'll probably be getting an outfit swap
@@InkpadsPlaypad Yes I do remember Walmart being 7.99 a while back and thought that was a steal because of Target being 9.99.I always keep checking Amazon also because they have them at a lower price sometimes. As an adult doll collector I do like articulation,but still love the fashionistas.

I’m waiting for the day when I walk into toyrus and I see a white curvy doll with curly brown hair, brown eyes, dressed as a hippie. That’s been my look for years and I remember as I kid it was so hard to find Barbie’s with brown hair let alone curly hair, and if there was curls it would be a darker skin doll. But when I found a doll with brown hair I remember sitting on the bathroom floor cutting up paper towels and straws and make diy curls

I love the Fashionistas, they're a really fun line. I need to get 186 & 189. They're coming out with a doll with hearing aids soon. I will definitely check out Mischa's necklaces since I live in Sacramento and the Food Bank is a very worthwhile organization.
I feel like among the fashionistas there’s a lack of redheads. As a redhead I always look for red headed dolls, and I feel like we don’t get very many, and like we haven’t had one for a few years. Like I’m not sure we’ve ever even had a red headed ken. Also American Girl has the boy dolls but for literally no reason they just have a red headed boy, like why? I don’t understand.
There’s definitely been redheaded ken dolls before, off the top of my head I remember ken fashionista 139 and one of the BMR1959 kens were redheaded. But I agree there should be more representation for redheads :)
I have found a few redhead barbies at Walmart, Target, Amazon, I always grab them when I see them.

I am in my 40's and I am now starting to collect these barbie Fashionista dolls too, because of the diversity and neat outifts, but mostly cause they are much better quality then the barbie's I had growing up back in the late 80's early 90's , even though I kinda miss the barbie's with knees then went Pop when u bent them.
the packaging of the fashionistas is perfect to store the na na na and thus keep them clean, apart you can see them

Honestly, Mattel never disappoints with their diversity in their Barbie dolls! Sure we didn’t have many POC dolls back then, as least for me anyway who was born in 2001 and had LOTS of non POC Barbies which I still have at age 21. Seeing more POC Barbies in stores, sometimes I stare at them a lot.

they should change the name of the line, and i really dont mean it in a mean way but those outfits are not fashionable at all, what about changing the name to "casual looks" "casual style" or sth like that???

Ok so what if they did a Stacy line of fashionistas so that younger girls could see that little bodies come in all shapes and sizes I think about that age around late Elementry and early middle school when the pressure gets puts on for those poor kids

I was doll hunting in target with my mom the other day and in the Barbie aisle another mom was telling her lil girl she could have a small Barbie not a big barbie(the fashionista was small and the playset with a barbie was big) i could see how it was that way because the fashionista were on sale for under $10 and the other dolls were $15 and up. They are a budget friendly doll like the swimsuit barbies were in the 90s. You still get a doll for play factor but you can always add more to her with what you already have and switch clothes. They make a great playline doll. The diversity makes them even more appealing to me anyways, I'm sure not so much to that little girl who probably wanted the Barbie extra doll instead.

I dun think kids with prosthetic leg would like a doll like them because it will remember them what they "dun have". Playing with dolls for kids it's not only a game but it make them dreaming and escaping reality for few hours, as well as barbie on wheelchair, it makes me feel so sad. ☹ When I was a kid I wouldn't have liked a doll like me in rl because with barbies I liked to be a princess, a singer, an actress, an athlet and so on. Btw what I would like to see more from mattel? Coming back to good quality like in the 80's and 90's with clicky legs and pretty faces because some barbies today, especially in the fashionistas line, have terrible faces. 🤯 I miss so much superstar barbie together with Midge, Christie, Kira and Teresa. ❤ Btw I love the idea of that zipper bags rather then the conventional packaging, but I'd like to see them not only in hot pink but even in other colors and for the rest of the barbies and playsets. I like a lot this bags, I filled one with all barbie's brushes and combs. 😆
