That's a reasonable assumption, especially consider their initial estimated final year of support upon launch was 2020, AND the fact that the PS5 is launching at the end of 2020. Coupled by the fact that it was revealed that this iteration was originally titled SF5 Definitive Edition, and that the final character Seth's movesets are dependent upon the games full roster, it's highly plausible that save some minor bug fixes, SF5CE will be the FINAL iteration of SF5 and that no new characters will be coming out.
It most likely is the last major version of SF5. They already said Iceborne is the only expansion MHW will get despite that game selling like crazy. We know it's because internally Capcom has probably shifted everything over to developing for PS5. They could potentially do some kind of next gen version of SF5. But I think it's more likely they just go straight to SF6.
They will make one down the line. I know Tekken, Samurai Showdown, Soul Calibur, Guilty Gear, and Mortal Kombat are gonna have complete versions so waiting on those too. Even if they don't I won't spend $35 on 4 characters from Soul Cailbur 6, they can keep their season pass I'll buy the complete version if they make one.
Not a rip-off. The benefit of paying a premium to be early adopters is that you got to play the game or use the characters and costumes EARLIER than the late adopters. I'm tired of those complaining about this. I mean seriously do you also complain that Sony ripped you off for selling the PS4 for $199.99 on Black Friday while you purchased it for $299.99? Gimme a break!!
@@GaminexPro I think he's talking about the entire package, characters, costumes, stages, and all which the "free update" will not provide for existing vanilla SF5 and SF5AE owners. I bought SSF4 and USF4. And although USF4 was not nearly of a COMPLETE and definitive game as SSF4 (post-SSF4 in USF4 have no mid-boss cutscenes or trials, indicating they're more like "secret characters" you'd access with cheat codes or unlocked rather than legitimate part of the roster), I didn't regret purchasing it due to the price and the additional costumes.
IV is ugly garbage, I only bought V arcade edition and its still great, IV will never stand the test of time because its clunky and boring, not to mention the presentation of that game sucked. I used to defend IV from toxic FGC people, but after V and arcade edition, I dropped IV like a bad habit.
Dude say that to Tekken. It only had 4 modes in total that's it. No survival, no time attack, no trials, no team battle, no arcade mode endings that weren't a 30 second joke ending that only lasted ONE FIGHT to get, no action or fun adventure mode, no mini game modes, no tag mode, no NOTHING. Arcade mode is hardly considered one, 5 fights and you get the end credits on a black screen that's it. Legacy characters missing, bland new characters, online was completely unplayable especially tournament which you'd lag out and freeze the game so you'd have to exit out. They had the nerve to SELL YOU A GAME MODE for $7 that was the lowest I've ever seen a company go. Even now they sell you frame data for money...its pay to know and win. That right there is just Tekken itself not to mention all other fighting games lol. No fighter is complete till afew years because the finished versions are the version they should all have sold from the beginning. SF5 as it stands now is well worth playing because its complete and quite fun but hey its up to you. Every fighting game will do this to you either way.
Just bought SFV champion edition and you can play as 6 people out of the full 46. Absolute joke, each one has to be unlocked individually with 100,000 fight money. You'll literally never unlock anything. Waste of time and money
@Tiger Although you are not wrong, earlier games had only, Arcade, Versus and Training but the Alpha series, vanilla 4 has plenty of offline stuff, but Super 4 removed them because Capcom SUCKS
@Tiger Alpha 3, MK9 onwards, DBFZ are good examples with fighting games with with competitive aspects AND good offline content, it's all a matter of developers giving a SHIT about their players, there's no reason why they shouldn't do the bare minimum effort in their presentation... but nowadays it's all about money, even Tekken that once had good and creative offline contents decided to turn that into DLC in Tekken 7, Tekken Bowling should have been part of the game but they chose to make it a dlc instead....

@Rardd5 I'm not lying. I feel for everyone who picked up their copy of V back then. VCE Is the version of the game that was promised back then. Being able to unlock content during gameplay, but no it wasn't. Everything was held back as dlc. So you believe its improved? If so that's fine. But I'd rather open my eyes, and be honest to warn newcomers that the game hurt it's fanbase, it did not make it better, it divided. The biggest issue is that having to re-purchase the same game, only with a new coat and polish. No thanks, I was already punished enough with V base edition, and Arcade. It was not a finished product
This franchise to me died a longtime ago , they don't wanna say it's a dlc ,trying to milk people's money buying a game that's 4 year's old with just editions that Doe's not make a difference
Totally agree. It just hurts seeing it re-released again when all this content should be made available to anyone who bought the original base version or arcade. No extra cost. V is a mess. I love the voice cast, music, and visuals. But everything has lost meaning in the long run
But the big question is... if you buy the physical disc, are all the contents included on the disc itself or is it still just the vanilla SF5 with a code that allows you to DOWNLOAD the rest of the contents?
@@LooK_it_Toe But the Arcade Edition disclosed EARLY ON that the retail disc would be just vanilla SF5. It also specifically mentioned that the retail packaging will come with a code to download the AE updates. No such announcement have been made with the pending release of SF5CE. I know a dirty little secret. The game cheats in a way you wouldn't catch unless you pay really close attention. Sometimes when fighting A.I the game will rob you of the commands you entered forcing you to reset your strategy. At this point if you try the same thing or whatever you press you will get hit and you will more than likely lose the round regardless of the difficulty setting.

Two questions. Is Champion Editon content on PS4 disc? Is reedem code needed for Champion Edition content? Arcade Edition was just a basic game (I would call it a demo) with updated content linked to one account. I don't want this type of games in my showcase.

To anybody wanting to "own" all the dlc on a physical disk. Beware. Your just getting the base game with nothing unlocked on disk. Brand new copies come with a voucher to redeem the dlc.
@giftofgab247 For your information, punk, Ken isn't the only main I use despite him being my favorite. Maybe you'll learn for who you're fucking with for next time, now get lost with that "SFV is a kids game" bullshit.
Capcom is giving us all this content for the Champion Edition yet Im positive there will be DLC packs, costumes, etc that will all of course cost money on day 1 of release. Then in a year or 2 Super Street Fighter V will come out with all previous content and they will once again release more paid DLC. The cycle keeps repeating and people keep buying into it.
SF5CE is most likely the last SF5 game. Case in point... (1) SF5CE was originally called SF5 Definitive Edition. (2) Capcom promised to support SF5 until at least 2020, and guess what year this is right now? (3) The PS5 is on the horizon and is set to release by the end of 2020, making it redundant to release a new SF iteration on a console that's being phased out. (4) One of the moves for the final new addition Seth, is completely dependent on the complete finalized roster. So other than minor bug fixes and MAYBE balancing, it is not likely that SF5 will get another iteration within its active life cycle after CE.
Well I hope you didnt get it. Probably best to wait. If they do release a version with all the dlc on one disc just purchase that. A good Fightstick for beginners. Dont go highend with a Madcatz Te2+ unless you are dedicated and enjoy playing lots of fighting games. I would start with a budget stick like a Mayflash or a Quanba Drone. The video is brilliant, but I almost disliked due to the mispronounciation and incorrect references. When talking to fans of a series, this stuff is important!
You're too big of a channel to be cutting corners
As big of a channel this is, it’s not alarming to see that they don’t get as many views or comments as they should.
I dont think there will be an ultra sfv.The content ends at the end of 2020.Same month when the PS5 drops. It lasted a good long while.
Ultra Street Fighter IV came out on PS3 about 9 months after the PS4 came out.
@@GSPRKY USF4 wasn't nearly as unhealthily obsessed with online as SF5.
@@Sifer2 I think it's more likely they're gonna lay off SF for a while. SF5 simply didn't bring in enough profit to warrant a sequel this soon.
All I want is the characters in disc not a f n download codes that's why I didn't buy arcade edition.
Same here. If it’s not on the disc, I’m not buying it. I’ve still never played street fighter V.
Well get ready....because all you will get us A CODE.
Tell me about it, I bought a pre-owned copy where the code had been used ended up with just the base game. Wasn't happy. The swines...
If i buy it physical i want my stuff on the disc otherwise what the use of the physical version.
Now, why doesn't Tecmo release a version of Dead Or Alive which includes ALL the dlc released so far?
They will make one down the line. I know Tekken, Samurai Showdown, Soul Calibur, Guilty Gear, and Mortal Kombat are gonna have complete versions so waiting on those too. Even if they don't I won't spend $35 on 4 characters from Soul Cailbur 6, they can keep their season pass I'll buy the complete version if they make one.
Fate862 t7 has been out for almost 3 years. I don't think there will be another edition.
Still seems like a rip off. Especially for those who already have the game. Give them the updates for free or cheaper that $25 dollars.
Yeah should be 15 to $20 to make it worth it.
The updates ARE free! If you have the base game you had on release then can play with the new V-Skills, characters, etc. right now.
@@GaminexPro I think he's talking about the entire package, characters, costumes, stages, and all which the "free update" will not provide for existing vanilla SF5 and SF5AE owners. Those that are complaining probably are the ones that spent in excessive of $30 to get those superfluous contents that SF5CE will be providing. As I say, the fool is soon parted with his money.
@@sdlock83 exactly
I will be getting it on 14th feb (steam) for the first time to play online with friends.
I love Capcom, but this is the game they should have released in the beginning.. that's why i will never buy SF5... I only bough SSF4
Both are great games , especially now. If you never had 5, now is the time.
Street Fighter 4 did the same exact thing though. Only difference is that you don't have to buy the whole game over again
I bought the SFV CE CD from Amazon but everything is locked and it says I have to purchase it with ingame money. What should I do?
Just bought SFV champion edition and you can play as 6 people out of the full 46. Absolute joke, each one has to be unlocked individually with 100,000 fight money. You'll literally never unlock anything. Waste of time and money
Everything you need to know.
The game plays awesome and has a decent roster, but it has close no content, barely any offline modes.
I will never ever buy a SF game in release... Thay punish fans who paid 60 euros years ago
I mean you don't have to buy this it's a free update.
@@almightygod87 ugh your nickname..
This is not a free update. You are paying for an unfinished product, a broken copycat, inaccessible content, and a four year old game that still has issues
I'm on the same boat as Mbization. Those of us who bought V day one were slapped in the face
Ahhh this video smells sponsored by Capcom
If it was, they'd be pretty pissed at the glaring mistakes with names
Let's just hope all content is on the disc instead of the base game plus a voucher inside the box... 😉
Voucher
As an Italian American I am offended by his pronunciation of Daigo...
And I bet eventually they'll announce an Ultimate Edition for PS5 with all the content on the disc instead of a voucher code.
Get your voice talent to pronounce character and major player names correctly... Sheesh
@giftofgab247 Right i still play street fighter 1 fuck all new street fighters
This franchise to me died a longtime ago , they don't wanna say it's a dlc ,trying to milk people's money buying a game that's 4 year's old with just editions that Doe's not make a difference
Totally agree. It just hurts seeing it re-released again when all this content should be made available to anyone who bought the original base version or arcade. No extra cost.
V is a mess. I love the voice cast, music, and visuals. But everything has lost meaning in the long run
Say it with me now. Dye-go
But the big question is... if you buy the physical disc, are all the contents included on the disc itself or is it still just the vanilla SF5 with a code that allows you to DOWNLOAD the rest of the contents?
I think they will give it as a code like arcade edition
@@LooK_it_Toe You "think?" In other words, you don't know either.
@@sdlock83 well it's not release yet but if you look back at the arcade edition it'll be most likely
@@LooK_it_Toe But the Arcade Edition disclosed EARLY ON that the retail disc would be just vanilla SF5. It also specifically mentioned that the retail packaging will come with a code to download the AE updates. No such announcement have been made with the pending release of SF5CE. So at this point it can go either way. Frankly I think it makes absolutely no sense to press new discs and not have the new contents on there already... if anything, to save the server from experience overburden download activities.
@@sdlock83 sfv game system is the game update came with all dlc (character, costume, stage) but it's locked behind fight money or in game store in your specific id on online. That's why if you playing it offline you will never got fight money if you play trial or survival. I really want it came all out on the disc like all the other goty game but sadly 99% it will come with code like arcade edition.
I bought it! There are 2 codes, that are just key to unlock the Champion dlc,the bluray is different it has printed on it the champion edition artwork! I recommend it only if you are a fan of SF and you got disappointed in 2016,it has like 200 costumes and 40 characters,it's easy to learn as Mk or fighterz (in my opinion) for 30 euros? It is worth it! If you already have the basic street fighter purchase the 25 euros pack to have this version is not a bad deal imaho
You said Gill would be available in February actually he's available right now
Feb is now though
I love how he calls daigo daygo
Carlosman668 or kage cage
Do i get the game when i buy the Champion Edition or is it just a dlc
Honestly, there is no new information that we did not know!
Then maybe the video wasn't for but those who don't know.
Sooo... I didn't get SF5 for a good reason then? The Champion Edition is packed
I think the argument about "huh bad game has no arcade mode". Man...no one ever plays arcade mode anymore. It was just an excuse to bash the game.
I’ve been playing street fighter since street fighter 2 in the arcades , and I think I’ve had enough now I think , there’s only so many hadukens and Harukens A man can throw in his life time
THE LONDON CHANNEL no one asked you
Are the fight money missions still super skimpy? Stopped playing when they removed the 2500fm weekly mission, and reduced the gold soldier matches to 1.
How does this play on pc? heard the net code was pretty wack. Has it gotten any better?
You found the right formula! Nonstop fun over here. haha!!
Physical copy better have all content on the disc and not a dlc code like Arcade Edition.
probably never going to happen with any game of this generation. especially service games. they are updated very often

Just wait for SF6. It will take 5 versions for 5 years before it gets "complete".
I have a question if i buy the upgrade kit do i still need to buy the game or is it still the full game i really need to know for friday.
Is this worth getting for a casual fighting game player? Played the new soul caliber but didn't get too into it.
2:26 BS!! buying unnecessary things I already own! plus this doesn't include ALL costumes!
I know I loved street fighter 4, but I didn’t know about this one
Do those of us who spent 60 dollars on release, then 20 or so bucks for arcade, then 25 bucks for this version get anything out of spending more than the other people?

I know a dirty little secret. The game cheats in a way you wouldn't catch unless you pay really close attention. Sometimes when fighting A.I the game will rob you of the commands you entered forcing you to reset your strategy. At this point if you try the same thing or whatever you press you will get hit and you will more than likely lose the round regardless of the difficulty setting.
I’m gonna be honest. idk anyone who plays this. MK11,SSBU, Tekken>>>>>
I play both
JamaalSTL I play both but I wait for complete editions.
Fighting games these days they strip the characters and release them as so called dlc hate that.

No it’s called cash cow. As long as you guys keep supporting game makers like EA and Activision that started this stupid DLC and Season pass on unfinished game, you’re looking to spend a total of over $100 for just one single game. Just look at MK 11. season pass now Ultimate Joe Aftermath. They’re just milking it. First COD and BF started this BS, now fighting games! Even Tekken! Sad man

20.00 Season 2
30.00 Costumes
30.00 Stages
24.99 Championship
165.00 wasted :(
The fool is soon parted with his money. But seriously, you paid all that premium for the privilege of being able to play the game and/or access the new character/content EARLY. So there was no "rip-off." I mean do you claim Nintendo ripped you off when you purchased the SNES for $199.99 back in 1991, and now they're selling the SNES Classic Mini with 20 games for 1/3 of the original price?!! Gimme a break!
I've bought Ibuki , Kolin and Lucia. I think a couple of skins and a stage. BUT IT MAKES ME MAD all the dlc that it's locked that came out and vanilla users didn't even get a discount
@@martinsosa6965 Again, you got to play as those characters and use those skins EARLIER than those that waited. So you didn't get ripped off. If I purchased SF5CE for $29.99, the pain I experienced is that I didn't get to play it back in 2016 and mid-2019 respectively like you did. So there is nothing unfair about it.
I cant play versus on my game on ps4 and when it says proceed to match i cant do it with my other controller
Two questions. Is Champion Editon content on PS4 disc? Is reedem code needed for Champion Edition content? Arcade Edition was just a basic game (I would call it a demo) with updated content linked to one account. I don't want this type of games in my showcase.
im pretty sure champion edition is season 5 not 4
Is Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition the final version of Street Fighter 5? If not, then I'm not buying the game yet.
Is this a review or a sales pitch?
Wow, this guy pronounced Daigo (pronounced DIE-go) as DAY-go. Now I can't unhear that😆

I am disappointed that the Championship Edition doesn't have all the characters available for you from very beginning.
But what is on the disc of this game? And what do i unlock with the voucher exactly?
How to i get to.play as those characters bonus season characters on the physical version after i used the redeem the codes online because i can't pick them

THIS is what SF5 should have been from day 1
but they couldnt do it a few years back cause everything was so new. it feels like capcom made everyone as guinea pigs as time went on trying to improve the game.
It's too slow needs speeding up, the ratio needs to b abit closer foe me anyway.

To anybody wanting to "own" all the dlc on a physical disk. Beware. Your just getting the base game with nothing unlocked on disk. Brand new copies come with a voucher to redeem the dlc.
Then get internet and quit being a bitch!
@giftofgab247 For your information, punk, Ken isn't the only main I use despite him being my favorite. Maybe you'll learn for who you're fucking with for next time, now get lost with that "SFV is a kids game" bullshit.
Need price to drop to $15 before making the upgrade. $24.99 is too much. Can use the other $10 towards a dividend share of stock.
Tf are you talking about CE is the last one
@@spaceduck67221 Yes, CE is the last SF5 iteration.
Capcom said that they will stop supporting SFV in 2020

Thinking about pre ordering on PS4. Which arcade fighting stick would you all recommend for a beginner? Thanks in advance!
My first stick was a Pxn which did last a bit until it became a shit show now I have a Madcatz Se stick which I plan to mod with better parts in the future .
