if going by only "do" "hit" "ride" then i would at first say baseball is "hit", but since that is not right, I guess the correct answer "do" works because you can also catch/throw the baseball... ? (maybe because 'baseball' refers to the sport and the ball at the same time? while there is a difference between 'tennis' and 'tennis ball')
