    Thank you Louise for your website tour. I'm just getting started and starting from scratch. It's a little intimidating. Your video is very helpful.
    I've been watching your videos for while. My medium is pencil, graphite with combination of charcoal. I like creating portraits that have a music them.
    My collection is small for now.
    Louise thank you again for your help.
    Blessings and Shalom from Kingsville, Ohio 🎉 😀 ❤

    So helpful. Thank you! I'm gearing up to create/recreate a fresh new website with the new Squarespace editor. All the details tend to overwhelm me. Your tips and advice helped me focus back on the basic parts and reasons why I want to do it. I'm looking forward to learning from you on Skillshare too!

    It has been lovely to visit with you Louise. I have an old website and am trying to get up the nerve to build my own with Squarespace so wish me luck. I am ancient and the brain isn't what it was but I have to sell some of these paintings which are crowding me out of my studio. Thanks for your encouragement.

      Aww thank you! 😊 You can do it! All it takes is some determination and a willingness to google a lot to find solutions. 😅 I'm currently helping my mom set up her new website for her paintings, and she's the same way. Most of the work is just staying calm and taking it step by step. 😌

    Thank you for this video, Louise. May I ask you to elaborate on how you calculate sales tax collection in your shop as I also don't live in the US or Canada where they can use apps like Tax Jar to do that for them. What do we do who live in another country, and do we have to worry about it at all? No one else on You Tube has addressed this issue satisfactorily. Please, can you be the first?!

      @@LouiseStigell aww thank you so much! But I see that it lacks structure and clear message, your video helped me to see it and come up with the ideas how to edit it.
      Your perk is competency with sites from your previous jobs and mine is calligraphy skill:) Also a question - how quick was the site loading time? was it ok? not annoying? I use analogue of Squarespace, a company from Belarus, many creators from Russia, Ukraine or Belarus use them, because Squarespace is a bit pricy for us. And they used to have this slow loading issue for visitors from EU and US IPs.

    Hi Louise, your videos inspire me a lot. I usually put them on when I start the day or when I'm drawing. And I learnt so much already from you.
    Speaking of websites, I'm completely lost. I only built a website once for a school project using existing website building tools like winx. But the experience was not good.
    I plan on building my own website next year. And want to have total control of my website, as you said, because it will be my own space. Would you recommend using Word Press? What's your experience on that?
    It's lovely that you're showcasing squarespace. I will also check them out!
    Would you consider doing another video talking about website building? I feel like if I search for website building online there are wayyyy too much information and don't know where to start. If you could give us some pointers it would help tremendously. Thank you again for the great content!

    Hello Louise, I was wondering if you know if your Squarespace website has dealt with the GDPR compliance concerning the fonts you use on your website. I am considering moving from a Wordpress site to a builder and I've seen Wix makes all their fonts locally available so there is no GDPR compliance issue anymore, but I can't find anything about that in relation to Squarespace. I love your website. It looks super clean and you let your work do the talking. That's the way I want it as well. It's between Wix and Squarespace now, so I hope you can elighten me on the fonts.

    Hi Louise! I'm 100% convinced to create a website and you are guilty of it! 😄 I have a question for a former freelance web-designer if I may: Would it be okay if I created the website in two languages?

    • @LouiseStigell
      @LouiseStigell  2 года назад

      Oh yaaay, mission accomplished! 🥳 It's absolutely okay to have a 2-language website, I've had it many times. Squarespace has pretty poor support for that though, even if there are workarounds. 😅

    I've had a website for a few years but I am useless at updating it and tend to rely on social media a lot more although i do direct people to my website from social media. It needs a good revamp but not sure where to even start. If I had the money, I'd pay somebody else to do it lol....but things are quiet right now so I need to save pennies....I'm with Wix....it's who my sister set me up with initially.

      I totally understand that. Maybe it's just not your priority at the moment, and that's fine. It all depends on what we're trying to do, and what resources we have. When the time is right, I hope you manage to sort it out. Makes complete sense to pay for someone else to do it if it's something you hate. As soon as I can afford it, I'm paying for bookkeeping... 😂

  • @Eichro
    @Eichro 2 года назад

    What about a blog? Like, on Wordpress or anything. While that may change in the future, I don't think Wordpress is as censor-happy as social media giants, I know of at least one blog with content that would be judged "controversial" and other less flattering adjectives and yet is up for decades. I'd think artists would be fairly out of danger at this point.

    Thank you Louise. This was really helpful and relaxing to watch. I have had a good go at setting up my website using shopify. I put it on hold because no one was really going there and I wasn't selling anything. But I realise now that I need to manage everything better. I like the feature on squarespace which makes all your artwork look uniform and well presented. I like the tip about creating content too, because I hadn't really thought about the need to do that regularly. @lindawilsonartncraft
