dream actually explained why sapnap dropped the water bucket on his stream ,, they were trying to make an infinite water source so they could flood the bottom, even if dream jumped down into the water, he had no hunger and the water makes you slower so they could still kill him. Sapnap didnt want to chance falling and dying in case dream grabbed his armor. sam only had 1 water bucket and no one else had one but ant had an empty bucket so they went to go fill it, but sapnap told them to use his so they could do it faster. he didnt expect dream to jump for it , catch it in mid air, and water bucket perfectly, steal their food, get hugner, adn sprint away obviously
