    3. Record gameplay until there is enough interesting footage to use for the background
    4. Throw the gameplay in the editing software and then begin typing up the captions, cutting/trimming the voice acting, adding SFX, color correction, removing/adding clips, etc.
    5. Final review of the video, if video is not up to the quality desired for this channel. Either go back into the editing software, re-record some lines, change opinions/commentaries.

The poor girl who didn't want to go to the states to be educated. I've done something similar. In my last year of schooling my parents decided to spend a year overseas. I NOW know I have some form of neurodivergence, but at the time it was clear I had only just made friends and didn't want to be thrown in a new environment for the bullying I'd always endured to be returned with no defense against it.
I practically threatened to run away if they tried to take me, and ended up being left with an aunt so I could finish my year. Everything about that year was nightmarish in different ways, including my aunt basically telling me off for any skill I had that was "wrong" (like hanging up washing in a different way to her), and the weather when I went to the parents during the holidays being completely unlike the weather I knew, resulting in continuous heat exhaustion, in a place I was unfamiliar with, had no access to any entertainment, dial-up with a 10 MEGABITE cap that failed to dial out about 1/3rd of the time and cost to dial even for a failure, and just... everything.

The guy confused about why CS people are applying for the senior jobs must not understand that in the current job market, it's necessary to just apply to literally every single job listing and hope *something* comes back successful. Also, a lot of listings really suck and ask for way more experience than is needed. Maybe if the listings weren't awful people would not apply for jobs they actually aren't qualified for.

You pay them an insane amount of money to go there, they teach you very little that will actually be used in the real world because everything is based off of experience despite requiring a degree as well, then they give you a piece of paper that says "Congratulations, you wasted money and probably went into extreme debt to get a useless piece of paper that is required for just about every single job, and very little else of note except maybe an anxiety disorder if you didn't have one already!" That sounds like selling degrees to me.

And I did. I didn’t need to retake calculus 1 or 2 which most of my peers with higher scores in math than me did. The idea of it being something you’d be humbled by is entirely ridiculous because of course someone would want to brag about getting a perfect score! 23:50 My niece was made fun of for “not having real/difficult classes” for being in an art school. The requirements for standard education classes were more rigorous than most her peers not at the art school had. She had also submitted two separate portfolios, since she was going for two different potential courses, and made each piece just for the application process. That was only for a high school program. In a college or university, art students won’t have the same kinds of high level mathematics or science that the STEM students have, and probably won’t have to write as many papers as the humanities students do, but they’ll probably have just as much of a workload in having to learn techniques they may never have heard of, apply them in ways they would not typically consider, will continue to develop enormous amounts of original works that are outside the scope of classes, learn programs and often programming, learn in depth about the hows and whys of different movements in art and design… it’s enormous and this scientist who loves art simply cannot do anything on the level of art school or professional art

The interns still in college get paid 25 an hour and those with bachelors were getting paid only a few Grand less than me. 10,000% off topic but... I lost a parent at an extremely young age. So I've literally been diagnosed clinically depressed since age 7. The one thing that just drives me insane. Is someone at a funeral saying. I know what you're going through right now, and it's hard, but time heals all, etc. I have two major issues with that logic. 1. Who are you to assume you know what I'm going through? Every person is unique, and something that may give one person PTSD may be Tuesday for someone else. 2. I'm going to just be the bearer of bad news here. Speaking from 27 years experience. Time does not heal all wounds. I still have seasonal depression. In June and July, because I still miss my father. Time has not cured me. It just means I sometimes don't even remember why I'm sad around my birthday. Which is always the week of Father's Day. It's just life's special way of kicking me while I'm down. Ya and people wonder why I don't remember birthdays. Sorry, they are associated with emotional damage for me.

34:32 The way the story about the trans girl was told was frustrating to hear (writing wise nothing to do with the video narrator) since a lot of attention was put towards appearance and the name of the student. All of these details basically just brought up everything a trans girl could be dysphoric about for no apparent reason other than to say that... she's trans. First the name. Most of the time we're forced to use our legal name in applications unless we can afford to get it legally changed and deal with all the bureaucracy that could entail depending on where you live (unless the occupation you're going for has the really nice preferred name option in the application bonus points for pronouns). Second the height, you can't really do much about your height (outside of sometimes hrt but I digress) but there are tall women too so why bring it up? Thirdly the hair. After baldness has set in there's not much we can do about it. For makeup; makeup is just hard and takes a lot of time to learn it's rude to judge her for it. Probably a similar thing with inexperience when it comes to the wig. Keep in mind most cis women get the opportunity to practice at least some form of makeup from a fairly young age. A trans woman might have only been able to practice for a week and started at age 30. I'm not trying to like completely dismiss the story as a whole, but the microagressions here don't exactly help the story writer' case. On the accusation of conservatism and religiosity of their pathologist practice maybe religion isn't really the best descriptor for you all being atheists and all, but I will say that many atheists **and** religious people are transphobic. They're just different in how they go about it. I've also had people who typically present themselves as leftist be incredibly transphobic as well. She may not have described the writer exactly (at least from the writer' point of view) but the overall spirit of the accusation might be true. Read might with like really heavy emphasis I don't have enough information here. For context I'm trans myself so this is why I feel so strongly about this.

A little trans education for anyone intrigued by Story 29 ( 34:32 )
The person in this story is a recently out trans woman, from the sounds of it. What cis (not trans) folks don't realize is that trans woman that don't transition until adulthood aren't taught the same things little girls are, such as makeup, how to do your hair, how to put together cute outfits, etc. This is why a lot of older trans folks will dress a bit oddly or look a little disheveled - it takes effort and practice to teach yourself the things that everyone else has already known for decades.

    • @darkstarr984
      @darkstarr984 3 месяца назад +2

I think that one part of why I often relate more with trans women than cis women is because I was brought up with very weird rules about modesty that resulted in me dressing very awkwardly and being terrible at makeup when I finally started using it at 19, partially due to interest, and mostly due to my mom bullying me for not being feminine enough as an adult (when she herself hates wearing makeup besides some types of very lightweight, not very brightly colored glitter dust, and had never once taught me anything besides “don’t wear foundation that turns orange” and allowing me to wear almost perfectly color matched lipstick, and told me not to wear glitter makeup because it made me look childish). I had been bullied by most girls from the ages of 10 to 19, and had to figure out how not to look like a very tall 11 year old girl to people. The only support I ended up finding to accomplish that was internet groups of trans women around my age sharing any and every bit of information they found about looking more feminine, while I shared my miniscule amount of tips I had on creating an hourglass silhouette when you don’t have a large chest, or have broad shoulders. I strongly dislike dressing in a “normal” feminine way though, and don’t like wearing makeup because it’s just a tedious process to wear it daily, and most jobs I get don’t allow makeup anyways.

Yeah, I came to the comment section to see if that story rubbed someone else the wrong way too. I don't like that the person first loaded off a ton of superficial and very judgmental remarks about a newly trans person only to then say "well obviously we don't judge based on someone's appearance". Maybe they tried to not let it influence whether they accepted or rejected the person, but don't put you being that judgmental into your Reddit paragraph if you don't want readers to make that connection. It really shouldn't have mattered to the officer whether she dressed well or knew how to use makeup, if anything the fact that she was obviously newly trans should have given her more leeway than other candidates.

52:48 at story 48: Yeah, when you essentially need to know the program already before even being accepted, i'm not suprised thry think they will be paid well. A masters has been devalued quite a bit and seeing the person so apathetic to it makes me pretty mad.
Yeah, you have a masters(which is quite the monetary and time investment). You *SHOULD* be paid more than a shitty 65k, but noooooo we need "ExPeRiEnCe!!".. Give me a more succinct form of "College/university doesnt fucking matter" because I dont think you can.

I don't know if admission standards are just low at the university of Utah or if it's because of my credentials or other factors. I didn't have to write an essay or be interviewed to be accepted.
Circumstances: i was a noncomitioned officer in the Marines with an honorable discharge. Had just graduated with an associates in general education from another state university, and had an outstanding SAT score (can't remember exact numbers but i was in the top 10% on verbal 4/5 on the essay but did embarrassingly bad on the math, bottom 90%. Also had about a 1100 on the old SAT I took before the marines.) I had applied to the Japanese language school and the linguistics school for a duel major.
However, i didn't have to write an essy to get into the small college i got my associate ls from. They just needed my SAT score, and some scores from special placement tests. Can someone explain to me why my admissions experience isn't like all the others? Is it because I went into the Marines first?
Plus, more schools need placement tests. Only my first school had them and they cut out all of my English requirements and saved me thousands of dollars. Most of my associates degree was math classes because i couldn't skip any maths. But i expected as much after i got a D in 'math for marines'. I didn't cheat and get the answer sheet from someone else like my fellow marines.

Not beimg able to click the link on the printed page sums up most of my sons freshman year, which was 2020 to 2021. You ought to recognize those dates.
We had no working internet at home and they wouldnt come out to do anything about it because, well. My son had to do his homework from printed paper packets, which as the class was all doing zoom call learning the instructions for the homework were mostly, click on the following link and answer the questions at the end. Really??? My poor kid.

Swedish guy sounds more pretentious and ignorant than most of the subjects.
First off no, university isn't free in Sweden. People choose not to go out never had the opportunity are forced under threat of violence to pay for your university course.
Second maybe there's a reason that all the top universities are in the US and UK, neither of which judges applicants for the most competitive institutions and courses purely on the basis of grades in exams.
Exams aren't everything about a student. I attended a university you have heard of where everyone did or had done something interesting outside their academic ability because of application process including interviews. You can't get in poorly on exam grades. It was fantastic, so many musicians, so many fascinating conversations, so much to learn from peers.
