Tough crowd man. I love the "whatever" throw-away. I've seen you do it a couple of times and it never gets laughs. It's actually brilliant. Raises more questions than it answers.
The 'Beauty & the Beast / Clue' joke is so funny. Maybe it's just my interpretation or possibly how this specific set went w/ the audience, but it seemed like Erik's jokes (generally) weren't designed for maximum laughter...which I fucking love. Hell, I'm not sure if 'laughter=funny' anyway. And I also don't find it to be anti-comedy. I love his style so much. It's undoubtedly unique and seems very earnest. I've been beyond bored with a lot of stand-up in the past couple years. That might be due to me just being ignorant of the great comics - or it might just be my depression - but this guy does what he thinks is funny, and it clicks more deeply with a certain audience because of that. Definitely looking forward to finding more of his sets.
Late to the party here (on this video and on what I'm about to reference) but he was a guest on Round Table of Gentlemen podcast a few times and absolutely killed
