    I was born in '92 and a tomboy all throughout childhood. I flirted with the idea of "transitioning" in college, but fortunately had solid adults in my life who took a wait-and-see approach. Plus, this wasn't all the rage 10-12 years ago. Anyway, now I am married with a beautiful baby girl, and my heart aches when I think of all these troubled people going under the knife. They are someone's baby. God help us for what this culture is facilitating.

      The whole LGBT ideology falls like a house of cards and fails on one simple contradiction: According to the homosexual branch of "pride", (the G, B and L) their whole lifestyle and identify are grounded in the firm belief "I was born/created that way" i.e. my BIOLOGY or genetic makeup.
      The 'T' and or "Q+" on the other hand, claim it's nothing to do with biology or physiology, but "how I feel today". Hmm!
      If u don't know what defines a woman or it's only about how one feels, why go under the knife to change ur physical attributes to something u can't even define? Could one be true or perhaps, both G's and T's merely have serious mental delusions?
      Where do trans Asians, aliens, amputees, athletes, anorexics and Adams fit into such malleable identities, aka mental aberrations? Should we celebrate with them too?

      I was born in 1945 and was a tomboy - even playing football at age 8. IF someone had offered me a chance to "become a boy," i would have said YES, sign me up. Around age 9, a I noticed a boy "Johnny" in my class and fell in love. Did NOT want to be a boy anymore. Now, still, at age 77 i still notice attractive men! THANK GOD nobody even tried to change me when I was a child!! And I am a Grandma! Love it!

    My parents trafficked me to the members of their satanic cult. Talk about having gender confusion! I wanted to be a man because I thought men didn't get raped. Soon I realized that it didn't matter what gender you were, everyone got raped. I have never fit in with my ideal of womanhood, and have struggled with gender issues and low self esteem my whole life. This talk has given me so much peace and comfort. The Lord Jesus has used you to put my questions and anxieties to rest. Thank you for your kindness and compassion in the way that you talk about these overwhelming issues. You're right. We're all just looking for love.

    I’ve been a detransitioner sense 2019. And this podcast was overwhelmingly healing for me to listen to!
    It’s true that the problems and the dysphoria are still there through transition and even detransition.
    I was born female. And now, I still deal with the permanent changes from taking testosterone. I deal with dysphoria from what I did to my body. I’m so thankful I didn’t go through with surgeries!!
    I grew up in a Christian household but yet still had so much trauma. Complex trauma and religious trauma.
    I wish that when I was dealing with gender confusion, that there had been more people in the church, or even just believers in general, that would have listened to me and loved me instead of telling me how wrong I was and that I was going to Hell- because all that did was make me turn away from God completly so I ran to acceptance from other people and other religions.
    I still wonder how I can love others in the LGBT community and show support, because I want them to see Jesus through my actions with them. Because I used to be them. And I still struggle with knowing I’m part of the LGBT community while at the same time knowing what’s quote on quote “right and wrong.”
    For me, my transitioning stemmed from trauma and abuse and having more masculine features naturally.
    However, when I started to come back to Jesus, I was still transgender. And Jesus told me, “go to church for me, no one else.” And I realized, “What if I just try to accept myself, my body, for who I am?” And that’s how my healing journey started.
    From there I have been able to get sober and stay sober from drugs and alcohol as well. (I have 15 months sober!!) And I’m currently processing trauma in therapy along with working through other mental health disorders I struggle with.
    I just pray that one day my story can help others and inspire others. And if anything, I pray that, the part of my story that deals with gender dysphoria, will at least help others really question if transitioning is what they want before they do irreversible changes to their body.

      Compassion is needed. I wonder if the ones who are holier than thou had the same feelings, how would they feel when thought of as "the devil" or below human. Would Jesus tell them not to judge others so harshly? Should someone's words push the hand of someone in despair to commit suicide or try? Is that a sin? I think so.

      @@marvalice3455 If someone is born a certain way, I knew many, I wont call them evil. They can't help feeling that way and many have hurt themselves trying to deal with it. Names and yelling and acting like being near them is "evil" is not right. Some of my neighbors who are gay, some single, some have families, some couples, all put me to shame with volunteerism and they are very good people, religious, generous, good workers. An act they may or may not do in private doesn't make them the devil to me. I feel for them, I pray for them, but I wont demonize them. There is enough real evil killing people out there daily, enough anti semitism, enough racism, enough homophobia, enough abuse. The only thing we can say is be alone. That isn't going to make someone want to keep breathing. Some couples do live together chastely. Fr Grochel from EWTN fame, knew one who decided in their 40's or little older to come back to the church but they still were close, seperate bedrooms, but they needed each other. Hetro couples do that too for many reasons. We all need love, we need to love each other as Jesus said. I pray they find ways that are more pleasing to the church but again many aren't Catholic.

      @@deb9806 It is true that we need to act compassionately towards those who commit sins. This is especially true with how Jesus acted toward the woman who was caught in adultery. But after he showed her compassion, He told her to sin no more. Homosexual acts are inherently disordered. They are sins. We need to work both in compassion and in truth. What good is it for us to gain the world, if we lose soul? What good is it to use our freedom for our own sexual desires in this world, if we are not with Jesus in the next because of the sins we have committed due to misuse of that freedom. Indeed there are people who are not compassionate. They have a higher tendency to turn people away from Jesus, and they will be held accountable for their imprudence. But we will also be held accountable if we had the opportunity to lovingly correct our brothers and sisters but we did not take that opportunity. Love can also come in the form of loving correction. I am more concerned with ensuring that our sinning brother or sister will repent of his or her sin, so that we can all be together with Jesus when we pass from this life.

But they keep quiet and go along b/c this is impressed on us from the top down and to speak out against it can be career suicide. As students it’s easy to take a back seat and not get caught up in the debate, I’m afraid of what happens in clerkship and residency… But yes even my school makes a huge effort to push this as well.

    The role of autism in this can't be overstated. A 1981 study showed that 10-30% of autistic kids couldn't place themselves as male or female. People with autism frequently don't have a strong sense of self. They also feel disconnected from society and from themselves, making them easy targets for the ideology.
    The question of how do we deal with this runs up against the reality that it can be difficult as a neurotypical person to understand and be understood by someone with autism. It's a social communication disorder. The great pity is we will someday realize we've been sterilizing autistic young people. It's a scandal.

      I have a young adult son, mid 20’s, who has had attempted grooming by other people his age to try to convince him he’s either trans or trans attracted. They absolutely target Autistic individuals to confuse them because they already feel confused by so much non verbal social interaction. My husband and I have fought tooth and nail through prayer for our son, constant communication with him, and making sure he meets us for Mass every week. He lives on his own, has a job, drives his car. Has friends. He’s on the mild end of the Spectrum, but even that mild autism (formerly known as Asperger’s Syndrome) is a sitting duck for trans activists. I was talking about the secular/medical/academic world’s approach to these issues, which, in my opinion, is oriented in the wrong direction. Instead of trying to reorient their dysfunctional identities toward objective reality, they attempt to reorient their behavior and bodies away from objective reality and towards their dysfunctional identities (it’s fundamentally an identity disorder). This, tragically, means people who need help don’t get help.

I think many times, our temptation is to stay put where we are comfortable and know our stuff, but Jason impressed me with his descriptions of how he’s researched for his new book and has new talks to address the crises we are facing. I love how he described how we need to love people before our platform, and this interview makes it so, so evident! It calls me to grow in my own vocation-thank you, Jason!

Please know that I’ve worked as a summer camp nurse at single sex, overnight camps, and co-ed, overnight camps run by the YMCA, that have a strong culture of transgender counselors. They promote pronouns and ask their nurses to distribute hormones. I called NCBC to help me understand how to navigate that culture for 2 weeks. I only work at Catholic Summer Camps now and ask about the expectations before accepting the job.

    I delt with gender confusion on and off in my life. I'm not sure why it happened, maybe it's because I only grew up with a brother, and I tended to identify more with men than I did women. I'm not sure where it came from, but I do know that when I came to God, my gender confusion went away. I'm now completely comfortable and happy as the gender I was born as since coming to God. I am also no longer bisexual. Praise the Lord!

To be fair, there was no sort of trauma, it's just if I was deviant without any reasons), but at the same time started to believe in God and wanted to join The Catholic Church since around eleven on my own, even when no one around me was religious, I've always had that strong confusion between my desires and ideals. Thank you for this conversation Matt and Jason. I have recently started reading St. Edith Stein's essays on women and femininity. They are profound and prophetic. Her approach to the human person and the sexes resounds with everything you said about the personalism we need to bring to these situations. I wish I had encountered her at a younger age. As a high school English teacher in a Catholic school, this subject breaks my heart as I know a handful of students (mostly girls) who are confused about the dignity of their personhood. Stein is a saint for our times and I think she could have immense impact on the girls of today if only her writings were shared/taught in Catholic education in a way that is age/grade-appropriate. A young girl reading another woman's words on femininity has more significance for her than if she were to pick up a Church encyclical written by a male Pope.
    "Every profession in which woman’s soul comes into its own and which can be formed by woman’s soul is an authentic woman’s profession."
    "The woman’s soul is fashioned as a shelter in which other souls may unfold."
    “Each woman who lives in the light of eternity can fulfill her vocation, no matter if it is in marriage, in a religious order, or in a worldly profession.” ~St. Edith Stein

    What you've said, Jason, about women struggling with use of pornography is much appreciated. It is also a very hard sin for women to confess to our MALE confessors. It is much easier for a boy or man to tell his priest he is guilty of self-abuse than it is for us girls and women. I imagine there are many women who never even confess the sin because they are so paralyzed with fear saying it out loud to a man, and we don't want to scandalize our priests. Men have a large community of support to help them with the problem, but for women it is not easy to find support.

    • @GuitarBloodlines
      @GuitarBloodlines Год назад +2

      if a woman is purposely not confessing a mortal sin, none of her confession is valid, and confessing does not scandalise priests

    • @mement0_m0ri
      @mement0_m0ri Год назад +1

      @@GuitarBloodlines Yeah of course, people should not be withholding in their confessions. I'm saying these are things women struggle with and these fears can cause us to stumble. It would be beneficial to create an environment that demystifies the sin of lust in regards to women. I am Orthodox though, so our confessions go a bit different, and our view of mortal vs venial sin is a bit different as well. The Byzantine rite, in the Catholic church as well, has a less streamlined and legalistic approach to the sacrament of confession.

    • @pizzadohpaz
      @pizzadohpaz 10 месяцев назад

      Absolutely. I think it's similar to the way that women used to die rather than go to a male doctor (in extreme circumstances of course). But they would often forgo treatment because they were mortified to have a male doctor check their bodies. That's why physicians are one of the first "male" professions that women started to "infiltrate" in the 19th century.
      Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating for female priests! I'm just glad it's becoming less taboo for a woman to talk about her struggles with sexual sin so that she can get the help she deserves.

    • @weebettyb
      @weebettyb 7 месяцев назад

      @GuitarBloodlines I think that's pretty black and white thinking. Struggling to find the language to label your sin doesn't make you not remorseful or nullify all the other things you confessed. Priest can be scandalised, but it is their job to not be. I can tell you honestly I have met priests who seem surprised to hear women talk struggling with sex. The thing is, that's their problem, not the woman..

    I really appreciate this respectful discussion on such a heated issue. Jason is far more effective in his communication, then individuals like Matt Walsh, who’s movie was effective, but his “click bait” trans shaming youtube content isn’t. Jason’s approach, which seeks to understand AND preach, is what the Catholic Church should follow if we’re to bring these souls back to truth. Many trans youth are so entrenched in their ideology talking at them without compassion or attempt to understand will only lead them to further isolation which is what’s caused so many of them to leave the Christian community for the alphabet one. Jason is brilliant at breaking down walls 👏👏👏

    Thank God for Jason Evert showing a compassionate approach that still insists on truth. I have been frustrated by the idea of having to compromise language to communicate, and do wish to insist on not letting terms get twisted, and terms get added, even though to a lot of Christians that can seem unloving. One is not only attacked from without Christendom; one is certainly at least not advised and comforted well within. Just to be clear: it's not that I personally struggle, but that I know we are called to be compassionate, but we are also called to be truthful, and people have not been discerning well what that really looks like.

    This is extremely difficult for the church to navigate. We definitely want to be loving, compassionate, understanding ect but Jesus (who we are to be emulating) was those things but also strongly rebuked falsehood and hypocrisy. He spoke truth yet did not hold back so as to not offend others. God in the old testament is seen time after time allowing Israel to fall into their own basest desires when they turned away from him to destruction but was always available to love and redeem if Israel repented. I think there's a place for Jason's way and a way for Matt Walsh's way.

    I don’t believe you guys are being fair by comparing your style with Matt Walsh’s style. I love what you guys are doing and I also love what Matt Walsh is doing and I think BOTH styles are needed. Different people respond to truth differently. Some people are delivered from sin by just hearing the raw unfiltered truth. Then there are those who need the truth a little more sandwiched, but both methods are needed, so I don’t think there needs to be a competition or needs to be presented as one approach is better than the other. They’re both needed and both appropriate.😊🙏🏾💕
