Thank you for the comment! I plan on doing another Norland video soon with all the updated changes over the last year, but most of the political stuff still applies. The biggest political change is the friendly alliance system, which is similar to inviting friends to be your vassal.
I like the way this game handles diplomacy. It is a simplified Bannerlord. In the big fight it was very funny when the weapons broke and the pawns switch to knucklefight. "I didn't hear no bell!" as Randy Marsh said. News of destroyed villages could come from rumors by visitors, and another layer could be an enemy spy feeding you false information. Risk and reward if you decide to follow a rumor.
Like the video, but can you do one about how you got to the point you're vasseling everyone with ease? Since starting with limited resources and money how are you early game accomplishing this?
Sure. This video was done a year ago, and I've had the chance to look at it again lately. Back then, "friendly vassalage" was a thing, but it's been replaced by alliances in 2024. You can leapfrog through kingdoms by making them like you and asking them to join your alliance; as long as you have some military and the invitees don't hate existing people in your alliance. To see how fast this can actually go, try sending messengers as soon as any neighboring heir takes the crown and relations have reset. If it's one or two small things they don't like about your teammates, they'll still join.
About friendship with kings part, you could just temporarily make them like you via social interactions and after they are vassals just let king forget about them and relations deteriorate to not care about the death. You could even start kidnappings and such to speed it up while also gaining permanent lords.
Yeah, I'm just warning people who are interested in levelling up their Norland game. The deterioration didn't seem to happen fast enough in my first playthrough, and my king was just picking up negative characteristics left-and-right (though there are a couple positive ones). In the end, I've resorted to just kidnapping their nobles instead. 😎 Turns out they don't like that.
you might have been able to get an unlocked game key if you asked after making your first guide i have one and if you play too long the autosaves clog up the game and keep it from working, you have to manually delete them from the gamefiles
What procedures do you go through to delete the files? Cause although I haven’t got a game key I’ve made multiple cities, cause I’m not that good at this game, and the auto saves are really annoying.
That window is currently not fully implemented, so I'm sure they'll look at that issue once they start enabling all the buttons. The developers did not immediately expect people to make it to these degrees of success in the limited time frame, so several problems people have noticed are mostly from that. For example, capturing the final, Unholy Horde province had an invalid name since you were never supposed to get that far. I did send a pretty lengthy feedback report once I wrapped up with Norland, which the developer was kind enough to send me a reply/thanks back.
I don't currently have access to any modern build of the game, but in the version for the video, I just needed to have a friendship with the ruling lord above a certain rating. It might be the same in the Early Access release build.
qualitiy content really! i love it keep up the good work
Thank you! The guide playlist seems to have done very well for RUclips. I may have to do this more often.
Wow you vassel faster than I can figure it even out lol. Good vid!

I did try to work up the nerve to contact the developer, but I always talk myself out of it. 😅

Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for sharing your comment.
This game looks fascinating.
Is there anyway that you can get or ask the Developers, to stretched, or enlarged the Dynasty window 😊
