Still coming back for that one line: "No your addiction is not a crime, it's just a smaller part of who, you want to become in the end." Freaking love Tristam's lyrics's and style :)
I seriously think it's important you all understand the meaning behind the song and the video. It's pure genius, and pours some much needed light on topics that don't get enough attention. Hats off to Tristam
What the song means (Not my explanation, but thought it needed to be shared) To me the song is about how everyone has urges or desires that they shouldn't act on because its frowned upon or just wrong, and he says "Just a little time" as in "you might grow out of it" Your addiction's not a crime" You can't help it. You cant choose not to desire something "It's just a smaller part of you" You can't let it define you (whatever it may be) Basically to me, the song is just about accepting the "bad" things about yourself and just carry on because no one is perfect
Everybody craves for a cigarette, as they are addicted to it. In this music video, it shows nice young people healthy, and talented. After the craving for the drug, people are just untalented tar in the end.
cameron calderon It's not just cigarette cravings, its all types of cravings, even ones that you may get looked down on or ones that are just wrong, its about telling you "don't worry", its not a crime, its just a cycle everyone goes through, you can be fixed.
Well, you do got people falling apart in what looks like black smog, cigarettes is a focus towards a lot of people. Although the black stuff could always mean something else... Like Ebola... Yeah defiantly wrong there, lool.
cameron calderon The black smog type stuff is the corruption spreading on there body, the things they are doing wrong, the cravings they have and want to do, makes more of the stuff, once they find out how to move on, run away from the addiction, which they do in the video, things will be a lot better, if you choose to carry on the addiction, it will consume you like it did at the end of this video :)
Lyrics: As he watches through the door His smile pulls in more and more Wicked thoughts shape wicked ways While we all crave, while we all crave When the man yells at his son When he finds the smoking gun Don't you worry, little one For we all crave, we all crave Just a little time No, your addiction's not a crime It's just a smaller part of who You want to become in the end When the snow is on her mind Rows and rows and lines and lines In the haze of your fixation We all crave for you, we all crave And can kill the wildest thing When you murder, it's a sin In the midst of your conviction We all crave for you, we all crave Just a little time No, your addiction's not a crime It's just a smaller part of who You want to become in the end

Why do all Tristam music videos have to consist of people running lol. I like this video, considering Monstercat still has their streak of extremely odd music videos. His singing is really amazing in this one. The half naked old man will never be unseen. They must have seen some side ball while shooting this. Great song and video overall. EDIT: I now fully understand the meaning of this music video and its incredible. :D
Frankie Ray Lol I apologize for calling you old xD Never expected you to actually reply to me. But yeah your acting in this one is spot on. I must subscribe to you now :P
+FanaticFox thank you fox I did not take the old thing Seriously lol I take nothing serious I do appreciate the compliment. it was a hard shoot for me. painful. having to go to the depth of my rejection pain. fear and addiction. self loathing and rage. there was allot of stuff that was not used. with the tv thing. however I believe they captured the essence of what they were looking for in this character that has reached the bottom of everything. I appreciate your recognition of that. there are many comments I love the banter about what this project is talking about. everyone finds there own truth in it. that's beautiful. there are many messages here. I really hope it goes world wide so the message at its core is discovered. Tristam is very talented and clever
I'm watching this repeatedly trying to figure out the story of the music video, and I think I'm on to something... The video is all about people's imperfections and their inability to handle them. Craving, murder, addiction. I don't know who did what but from what I can tell, the dancer is anorexic, the football player uses steroids and the old man either is addicted to some kind of drug (judging by his home/personal appearance) or he murdered someone. The black paint symbolizes their "crave" consuming them, because they refuse to find a way out, and they all die pretending to be stable. The only one who finds the way out is the girl in the dress, who, when she sees the paint forming on her, washes it off. This would suggest she went to find help for whatever her problem was. The other four attempted to live with something that would undoubtedly pull them to their deaths without seeking some sort of help, and paid the ultimate price. The song talks all about how you can't feel guilty about something you've done that you know is wrong, because everyone has "craved." The idea is to give the message of not feeling embarrassment about something that people must know, and especially not to live with it.
I think the old man addiction is linked to some sort of ideological extremism, by the way he is drawn by, and the way he cries to the TV. Then performs some kind of fighting moves one time, and some prayer/ritual on another. Plus the tar first appear on half of his face, then his hands, then his entire body. The corruption took part of his identity, then his actions, then his whole being. Anorexia for the dancer makes sense, since the tar first appears on her throat. Maybe she is also too much of a perfectionist with her dance and abuses her own body and the use of anesthetics, she keeps dancing till the end, the tar takes over her legs and arms, but she keeps dancing until it finishes her. The black guy is an enigma to me, maybe he is paranoid because he committed a crime? The tar first appears of both of his entire arms. His clothes give no hint to what activity he is most obsessed with, he is just shown coming out of what appears to be an abandoned house, then riding a bike on the streets. He is the only one who keeps always looking to his sides and his back though, like he is always watching out to not get caught. The girl in the mirror and the guy with the football gear are pretty obvious. The fact they are all addicted to drugs as an escapism from their problems is also a given.

I love love love this song, everything about it: the lyrics are deep and impactful as ever, the beat is mind blowing if you want to jam to that base and drums you can let loose and go crazy, if you want to be lost to the melody and the tone.... the overall vibe it gives. It should have hundreds of million views I don't get it.
Tristam has a way with each song which makes you stop and think about what you are listening to, every time you listen to it, each time you will be able to find a different thing in the words or music which make you feel like it is a whole new song. Thank you, Tristam, for making music like this, it will always be the best to me.
I think it's interesting how all the people watching this that suffer from depression can connect to the deeper meaning almost immediately, and the people that don't only realize it after they see the help line.
3 Things I realized about Tristam. 1. Tristam's latest 3 uploads are labelled Electro (on Monstercat) 2. This and Empire Of Sound are both his latest releases and they both have music videos 3. All of Tristam's music videos are electro Also that the outro of this sounds a lot like Empire Of Sound
I guess.. I actually do like the song.. but the video was really strange for me.. and (for me) not the good kind of strange.. like find that someone or move

People dont realise the amazing meaning to this video. This needs to be a big hit, so more and more people see it and realise that there is a way out, but it isnt worth doing. Im not gonna end this comment with a bad pun, Im just going to leave on a good note. P.S We all Crave Tristams songs

Deprived from their control of their own bodies,

But they couldn't hide forever,

Not when their strength was faltering,

this song is one that without fail no matter how hard i try will make me cry when i hear it. just speaks to me somewhere deep. true piece of art.
Tristam honestly needs to come out with a full length album 😩I'm dying for more
I love love love this song, everything about it: the lyrics are deep and impactful as ever, the beat is mind blowing if you want to jam to that base and drums you can let loose and go crazy, if you want to be lost to the melody and the tone.... the overall vibe it gives. It should have hundreds of million views I don't get it.
Amazing song, Great message :)
+Phartin Gayrix massage?
always
I swear, if it's future bass...
Luke Rapley it's not
what is the "message"?
Tristam has a way with each song which makes you stop and think about what you are listening to, every time you listen to it, each time you will be able to find a different thing in the words or music which make you feel like it is a whole new song. Thank you, Tristam, for making music like this, it will always be the best to me.
Splatoon 2 leaked footage
+Keaton Knippel Aahahaha Dude xd
+Keaton Knippel this comment was actually funny lol

Cod 69 confirmed. Thanks David.
You mean Splatoon 4
Life changing
I think it's interesting how all the people watching this that suffer from depression can connect to the deeper meaning almost immediately, and the people that don't only realize it after they see the help line.
Tristam is love, Tristam is life.
Did you hear about Tristam's apartment I heard there was a Braken
+Emily Pizzitola That intruder is just a rogue.

3 Things I realized about Tristam.
1. Tristam's latest 3 uploads are labelled Electro (on Monstercat)
2. This and Empire Of Sound are both his latest releases and they both have music videos
3. All of Tristam's music videos are electro
Also that the outro of this sounds a lot like Empire Of Sound
Damn i was a freshman when i heard this...
So much has changed.
lifes wild people Appreciate and cherish all good moments.
one of most underrated and monstercat best song/track ones ever release.
Hands down, best Tristam song.
Who is 2024 here?😊

This is beautiful. This is ingenious. This is what our society needs. Thanks, Tristam.

I guess.. I actually do like the song.. but the video was really strange for me.. and (for me) not the good kind of strange.. like find that someone or move
The Mexican Potato yeah the music video was a little weird. woouldve been a lot better without the old man thats for sure
+The Babe Taster Why do your comments not appear on your Google+ page anymore?
Listening this again makes me cry right from the start.
I saw Tristam and I was like DAYUUUM

+Logan Lien He probably meant in his sub box.
I meant my sub box because I did not know it was going to be Tristam because I don't watch the podcasts.
+ColtFPSGAMING That's the same thing over at NCS when Tobu pops up!
Lyrics!
As he watches through the door
His smile pulls in more and more
Wicked thoughts shape wicked ways
While we all crave, while we all crave
When the man yells at his son
When he finds the smoking gun
Dont you worry,Little one
For we all crave,we all crave
In just a little time
No,your addiction is not a crime
Its just a small part of who you want to become in the end
When the snow is on her mind
rows and rows, and lines and lines
In the haze of your fixation
we all crave,oh yeah,we all crave
and you can kill the wildest thing
When you murder its a sin
idk after that lel
In the midst of your conviction, we all crave, we all crave. Just a little time, no your addictions not a crime (someone finish the rest lmao)
It's just a small part of you want to become
In the end
Its has been more than 3 years since i follow Tristam and he never disappoints, and its have been over 3 years since i have waited for a EP... guess i have to wait more

Reasons you shouldn't like Tristam: Shit there aren't any!
There are none he is to fantastic to not like to fab 5 evry one
He dosent finish alot of his songs
Because he only picks the best
He takes forever to make a song
It's worth the wait every time
He is Braken

Wow I guess there is really no reason
He's really full of himself. But nothing I can say about his music.
