Male sirens used to be a thing, from wikipedia: "Originally, Sirens were shown to be male or female, but the male Siren disappeared from art around the fifth century BC"
@@JayCawb Sirens were originally half bird (not half fish), and definitely *not* male. Never use Wikipedia unless you look at the external sources. That said, sirens were sea nymphs, and all nymphs were female (specifically nature goddesses) in Greek Mythology. This is why I say sirens were never male. I am not sure what you would call a male siren. Though, when you try to look it up, Google says a male "siren" is a trition (a merman), but as I said, sirens were half bird, not half fish. So, tritions are not actually the male version of sirens; originally, that is. For some reason, around 1,000 years ago or less, sirens became the same thing as mermaids, so that's probably way tritions are seen as male sirens. Perhaps, it's because sirens are sea nymphs and somehow they became exclusively half-fish people, despite sea nymphs don't actually have to be fish related at all. Lol. Greek Mythology and it's influence can be very confusing at times.
@@meganlodon You're absolutely right, but to clear up where the male variant could have come from, so a Nokk in a lot of sources is described as a male siren, which here siren is classified only as a water creature, (and nokk is lake specifically) that seduces people into water through music. Or just sexy self. female variants of Nokk though, being Nixies, river mermaid. There's also the story of queen melinoe's children, the siren with two fish or serpent tails and falcon or bat wings. Her children could be male or female. Nokk is scandinavian, melinoe is french. Neither of them are sirens in the old traditional sense, but their influences could have bled into modern interpretation. it's very likely their influence bled into modern interpretation, actually, with the different sailors interacting with different cultures quite heavily around 1,000 years ago.

I feel you. Keep strong
Your voice brings tears to my eyes…. It is that beautiful!!! 😭 😭 😭
Oh my goodness. You’re my favorite singer. Your wonderful voice, incredible range, the way your voice creates mood. . . In this song, the background hum is ominous as Jenny dances with her ghost, while your voice caresses the notes. . . Words fail me.
I honestly cried listening to this song
Dude, I really can't express in words how amazing you and your voice are. Keep going.
I have played this song so many times.. always on repeat.. as many of your others
I think this is my favorite of the song covers you've been releasing lately. I particularly liked the contrast in the middle when you softened up the hard edges of the sound and got a bit smoother. That is a REALLY good sound.
the memories came flooding back
The voice of Rhaegar like honey over thunder ... no wonder the princely bard is well remembered.
