OMGoodness. I think I'm beginning to realize why Bernadetta/Bernie is so popular! She is quite the adorable munchkin! And that ending scene picture of her? OMG! Her cuteness could slay me with one glance!!! Hurk! I also gotta admit that I like her's and Byleth's "Ending Script" as well. I dunno what to call them, so I'll stick with that for now.
Does anyone else ever wonder about how these romances build and conclude?? I got into really thinking about it and realized how bland most of them can be. Don't get me wrong I'll always choose Bernadetta in the end, but seeing how the supports work with the students themselves seem to be something stronger than with the male or female professor. Take Dorothea and Felix for example, how they spend time with each other and how they end up having tea together in their last support conversation. But when it's with the professor, it's just talk about how she hopes to find someone who will take care of her. They never really do anything together like how it is with Annette at that A support conversation where THEY have tea and sweets together. That one was pretty legit, if anything. Sure you can invite any character to tea, but that's all non-canon, which is what people would call it. Another example being that Bernadetta and Seteth go to write and illustrate a novel together (cringe). But with the male professor, it's mostly about how she talks about her past and thanking him for giving her a second chance at life, which is good, I like that. But where is the real magic in it all?? It feels somewhat empty. At least, to me anyway. I feel like a whole lot more could have been done to a bunch of them. Then again, I've never been in love, so maybe that's why I feel the way I do about this. Heck! When I thought of several fanfic idea's, there was even one about what I'm talking about, but since I don't have any experience with writing, none of them can be possible. What do you think of this?? If you read this, of course. Hahaha!
Yeah, I get what you're saying, and I think the major fault comes down to how Byleth is written in-game. Like, when I'm reading comics, fanfics, or art about ships with Byleth (Usually with the lords), Byleth's personality is always different with each creator because it all comes from their imagination. Byleth, in-game, is written for the player to come up with their own interpretations and headcanons about them. In order to do that, Byleth is given very minimal characterization compared to... basically every other character in the game. Now, I'm not saying Byleth is a complete self-insert (they do have character traits and flaws, and is basically treated as a silent, stern, and caring mentor), but because of the writing for them, they have very few ships with any real chemistry (IMO, it's literally just Edelgard, Dimitri, Dedue, Catherine, Shamir, and Seteth, and even then, there's still plenty of other ships for who I mentioned that I think have better chemistry). Makes it so strange to me that only Byleth has any S-Supports while the rest have to rely on how many points they have with someone. It all comes down to a person's imagination about who and what Byleth is as a character (same goes with a lot of characters, obviously, but Byleth especially), which is why Byleth is given so much more characterization in everything that isn't directly from this game. I still think Byleth is a good character & the best Avatar in the series, but the reason why I like Robin, despite not relating with them, not being a fan of their writing or Awakening's writing in general, and wondering why they're called an Avatar when they definitely have they have a clear personality, was just that: They have their own defined character, and actually have supports where I can say "Yeah, I can see them being a couple" (not to mention Robin has a LOT more to say than Byleth). I won't diss anyone who has a Byleth ship as their OTP (if they love one of their pairings, then more power to them), but with how I see Byleth, I would never ship Byleth with almost any character because I just think each character has way more interesting ships that feel more natural. Plus, some people's interpretations of Byleth annoy me for feeling so OOC, as though they just throw out all of Byleth's existing personality and just straight-up makes them a self-insert. But, that's a rant for another day. TL;DR I care about very few Byleth ships and would've just liked Byleth to be their own character and have a voice in cutscenes & supports. Hell, just replace Byleth with Shamir and have her take the protagonist role instead, being Jeralt's daughter and all yet still having her existing personality. Literally just thought of that while typing this, and I actually love that idea.
@@zachataxxii7126 Yeah, definitely. Take the way how it was for Fire Emblem Fates also. I straight up paired Corrin and Felicia because that's like the most obvious one to do. For me, at least. Hahaha! Not only was the support conversations good between them, but just their connection throughout the story to each other in general was something truly great because Felicia would always be at his side no matter what. Even said that, "No matter where you go, I will always be by your side!". In their S rank support, Corrin went on about how scared she was because she would say she was useless to everyone, but that there's no way that was true because she tried to support everyone she could even though she wasn't good at a lot of things. Plus, whoever you would choose to marry, they would literally get to live with you in your private quarters. I thought that maybe after the post time skip in Three Houses, you'd be able to choose the person you want and have that exact same feature back. Sorry for not being so good with words. This is yet another reason why I can't do my fanfics. Hahahaha!
This... this is what I needed! I've been watching clips from FE: 3H for a while. First, it was the supports between the protagonist and the students. I was fascinated (at first) by how cute and adorable most of the conversations were, especially their S-support. Man, it is sooo beautiful to see the characters' reaction to Byleth's proposal. Then, I started to see other characters talking to each other in their supports. To some of them, I was conflicted. I was like "Why do these two are so well together? Why does it make sense?" Then, I saw these two comments with critical thinking and then I saw the answer: it's beacuse any romance development with the main character is shallow and superficial. Nothing else is done besides talking, they don't do anything else that helps building chemestry (Annette A-support is an exception) and the fact the protagonist doesn't have a voice makes it difficult as well. On the other hand, the students (and some others) have their own personality and always try to relate to each other in some way, giving us great dialogue and character development. I actually considered writing expanded dialogues for Byleth to make he/she speak a bit more, but if I ever want to do a proper romance, then I would be forced to make the character do somethings that canonically wouldn't make sense, for small as they may be. Honestly, I think the only REAL good options of romance for the protagonist are the three house leaders, simply due to the fact they talk more and have more personal moments and interactions with Byleth. I don't think I'll ever see the game the same way as before 😅😅 but I really appreciate these critical comments about the romance in Three Houses. I think the devs tried to fix it in Engage (don't really know a lot about this game), but from what I've heard, it is worse than 3H, so... 😂😂😂
Wait a second, now that I'm listening more to Bernadette voice it sounds familiar,do you know who the voice actor is?EDIT:Okay my hunch was right it is the same person who voiced Eleanor Hume in Tales of Berseria.
According to the "new" youtube rules, a like is no longer enough to support the videos of your favorite youtubers, but you also need to leave comments. Well i'm not the kind of person that can think of poems to write every time, hence all what i'm gonna do is copy and paste again and again this message, since it sums my thoughts over the video with this one statemented: Cool 🌟🌟🌟
Bernie is such a sweet girl. Her support with the professor is also very cute. But I can't help but feel bad for her. Her father is abusive towards her, that explains why she hates her father so much.

Yic17 I like how byleth's face change when she said I'll hold down the fort almost like he said he'll no.
Thanks for doing this one. I felt so bad for Bernadetta. I’m glad to see she can get a “happily ever after”!
She is the my heart.
I love how Byleth is the one to tell Bernie about the ball on their goddess tower conversation.

Anyone else love how her uniform looks like a hoodie
So comfy looking
Hey a video of your's has finally been in my recommended.
Nice. 😛
In GD path Byleth becomes the new king. I kinda think that will be another end for Bernadeta x Byleth.
I want to romance with Bernadetta now that I bought the Extension
Bernie is such a sweet girl. Her support with the professor is also very cute. But I can't help but feel bad for her. Her father is abusive towards her, that explains why she hates her father so much.
Cool
Rizzleth
She reminds me a lot of Futaba.
