I beat pvz with squash(he is so powerful)
To let you know that you can kill gargantuars with two plants yh squash and jalapeno only two plants and it only cost 175 sun's I use that trick if you don't trust try then and tell me
An extra tip for people trying survival hard or normal: pre plant a couple of ice shrooms and only wake them up when the ambush zombie(graves,pool,bungee) about to spawn to stop them immediately
Nah this one tip aint no way near enough bruh you need to learn serious theory if you wanna get far

Gloomshroom is super op against dense waves due its INFINITE PIERCE
Man i remember playing this game all the time. I always loved this level since i can pretend that the melons are artillery and the potatoes up front pretending as sandbags. Good memories from a greater time.

Yeah idk why he said gloom shrooms were weak on most areas of the roof.
We actually use starfruits before we get gloom shroom and coffee bean. It was found a little while back that starfruits are quite a bit faster if u use them for clean up and use a lot of instants. Starfeuits are sometimes used of 5-9 as well, just depends on what the runner is comfortable with. Surprisingly to, gargs arent that scary. On 5-9 you have a chance to get a garg on wave 28 and 29, ehich is a bit frustrating when it happens its not a huge deal because we make sure to prepare for it just in case, but killing them it just takes 2 insants so a lot of times its just a doom shroom and a squash and its gone

there’s literally an entire strat with gloom and garlic that allows you to just beat the entirety of roof and yet gloomshroom “doesnt work in most of the levels”
That's what I used on roof levels too, I didn't know it was such a common strategy.
And then just use explosives for the gargs (squash, cherry bomb and potato mine for me usually).
I just used a gloom shroom wall in ladt stand...
Never did a speed run of this, but I've never had a problem with that guy. Just ramp the sunshine and overwhelm the bugger.
tbf that’s what most speedrunners to as well, get a crapton of sun and use it on them

Hi I once encountered a glitch in SDV that if two people upgrade the same barn/coop (by both initiating the convo with Robin simultaneously) then the time it takes to build went to one day. It would be interesting to see a speed running video on fully upgraded coop using this method.
I mean, people DO use it.
question: does this double the cost as both players buy the upgrade?
The doomsjroom part kinda reminds me of a strategy i had with my bro on most any level. We called it the C-4 Strat. Basically, we'd put a doomshroom in a pumpkin, and awaken it with the coffee bean in a pinch or at the end of a level.

However kernel pult is good in a lot of groups can really help on 5-9 because the butter can stop the zombies make sure you plant the kernel pults at different times the best way to do it is waiting for the butter to get launched and then plant the kernel pult and do it again and again so that you can launch butter everywhere.

Same here, I pair it up with garlic and lots of explosives, and spikerock in minigames.
I learned the gloomshroom strat wayyy backkk. Somehow my cousin learned about using garlic and gloomshrooms for the pool levels and I use it all the time ever since.
Gloomshrooms don't work on the roof? Since when? Puff shrooms and gloom shrooms work perfectly fine regardless where you place them.

Fun fact! Fume and Gloom shrooms completely ignore the slope gimmick of roof levels. They can attack zombies regardless of the height difference which makes them incredibly effective at all points during the level

i only use bombs, pears, doomshrooms, and only explosives, and i never place wall-nuts

Speedrunners are now using starfruit for levels 5-2 and 5-3
I've watch eazyspeezy Speedrun so many times and the first time I learned about this, it was really interesting and I've always think how Speedrunner even think about doing this

As a pvz speedrunner myself I can confirm this is true, it's way easier but more expensive as you need the fume shrooms + coffee bean XD
Whenever I see a gargantuar on the roof, I usually use a reserved squash and jalapeno to finish off one of them.

As a person that completed pvz 1 and lost their progress 2 times in pvz 2,i take care of gargantuar zombies using squash 2 times or using cherry bomb 2 times or using both

To be fair, regular shooters can shoot just above tiles I think on the 3rd column
Which only means you lose out on 2 columns, but thats not detrimental necessarily
Doom shrooms are just a "nuke all button" now
you should set Ice shrooms or have any Explosive plants in the slot since you have to timely attack the gargantuar before they throw imps
I used to keep using explosives, like potato mine, squash, cherry bomb, chili and that nuke dude
I played the Xbox 360 version where you can throw butter at the zombies with the second player, so any difficult zombie just had to put butter on it while the other player put the plants
As someone who speedrun PVZ mobile without sunflower and sun-shroom, i can tell that gloom-shroom is over power

Honestly if you play that game since it came out like me you know exactly how easy every level is

So I played this year's ago and I figured out how to farm the level because I somehow found out that the zombies will only attack a row where there are pots and plants. So I only had plants in the center lane, all the lawnmowers on the other ones were gone but the zombies would only spawn in the middle so it didn't matter. I highly doubt this is still a thing but it was nice to finally beat it.
I thought that was only true with the Dr. Zomboss fight
