It is of Greco-Roman structure, dating back to the year 119 BC when Ptolemy VI built it out of limestone.

The temple was mainly dedicated to the god Sobek, the crocodile god, together with his wife.

Perhaps the crocodiles which we have seen there in an ancient building have been taken to a museum

I remember the mummified crocodiles piled up behind an iron gate, it was 1985, that year the Egyptian pound was equal to 1 American $ which rate was equal to 70 Belgian Frank. To enter the pyramids was 3 Egyptian pound equal to 210 Belgian Frank in those days, I refused to pay so much and enjoyed the pyramids from outside. I seemed to me that the mummified crocodiles were not much cared for.

The bird serves as an image of the soul, the falcon shows the time of the rebirth of the soul of Osiris, in these birds the time of the birth of chicks coincides with the time of the new birth of the soul of Osiris.
A bird is born from an egg and a soul is born from an egg, all animals that are born from an egg are used in the symbolism of rebirth.
The image of a crocodile shows that conception was performed without the use of a sexual organ, in crocodiles the sexual organ is not visible as if it does not exist, and conception occurs very quickly.
