Awesome and super important content!! One thing that has saved my butt and not talked about in the video is including your CRM Service in the contract. The one I use not only tracks the emails I send to the client, but also if it has been read, delivered , clicked on, etc. It also keeps a change log of anything modified after the contract and terms have been digitally signed for and if it was the client that made the changes or myself. I am definitely revisiting my contract and changing my deposit verbiage to retainer!
YES! We didn’t even touch CRMs involved in the contract. We both incorporate our contracts into honeybook and it’s saved us on many occasions with revisions, editing etc just like you said. Thanks for this comment and reminder! You always give such valuable feedback
Great information ladies. I am just starting my photo booth business. I haven't booked any events yet, so at this paperwork stage this is really good information to know. Can you cover outside events please?
Hi there! Thank you for the video. Have you had the chance to review the sample contract given to you when you purchase the salsa booth? Do you think it’s a good place to start?
I wasn’t personally comfortable with the sample one and felt like it didn’t cover a lot of the things I was needing for my business. Regardless of what contract you use, definitely get it reviewed by a lawyer to make sure it will cover you effectively.
I don’t know a better way to word this but what would be the difference between a invoice and a contract and when do you give the contract is it when they are booking or after they booked
An invoice is a statement of services and their cost. The contract is basically all of the terms and conditions. They sign the contract when they are booking.
Hi, does the email go through your professional email account address (do you imbed it in the honey book program) or does honeybook use its own email platform? Thanks
It’s embedded, so for example it’ll say “Own Your Moment” but if you click on the email you’ll see that it came from honeybook, but you would have to specifically look for it to notice. It automatically creates a project so the client can continue emailing or log into the portal.
My girlfriend and I just got our Salsa Booth from PhotoBooth Supply Co and this video was extremely helpful! As far as getting a lawyer to build a great relationship with, not just for this contract, but just one lawyer to rely on for my entire business; where do you think I should look for a lawyer? I'm located in SoCal and have 0 knowledge about speaking to lawyers haha
That’s so exciting! Congrats! And for lawyers you can start by googling local lawyers that deal with small businesses, fiverr/upwork, or something like LegalShield. LegalShield connects with law firms in your area as well. It takes some research but it’s worth it!
I salute to these two thank you so much for digging deeper about contracts..
Just ordered my Salsa booth! So excited! Thank you for your help!
Yay!! Congrats!!
Thanks for the contract tips - you two have great chemistry.
Oh I love this comment, thank you!!
The way I setup my website is when they book a time and date they can chose to pay in full or a deposit
This live was so helpful being new to the photobooth business ❤

Hi, thank you for the content! what would be an appropriate time frame, to allow clients to make changes to their event? Thank you
Depends on the change and how it effects the service
@ownyourmomentco thank you!
