Considering the other teams were designed with different difficulties in mind, it does make sense for Team Rose to be designed to be the Easy Mode of the game, with the short stage length, fewer enemies, and starting off their campaign at the tutorial level, Sea Gate. I've often heard that some people do prefer Team Rose. Mainly for the shorter stage length, as some people felt the game's stages can overstay their welcome for certain teams (especially the later levels) and also because it's much more easier to get to the Special Stages by playing as Team Rose. - Eric
