Oh fuck I have an Idea what this song is about - often when you are being physically abused in a relationship, after a while, you will exhibit signs of sexual arousal, couple that with gaslighting and taking ownership of your partner (wedding ring) abusers often mold and punch their partners into a new version , an adjusted new darling, that gets excited at the chance to be punished and pushed around. Imagine BDSM without the sane or safe part, just abuse that eventually you get so used to you mistake it for love and desire.

Oh fuck I have an Idea what this song is about - often when you are being physically abused in a relationship, after a while, you will exhibit signs of sexual arousal, couple that with gaslighting and taking ownership of your partner (wedding ring) abusers often mold and punch their partners into a new version , an adjusted new darling, that gets excited at the chance to be punished and pushed around.

Im not sure how the song ends exactly, but by the added exclaimation marks and escelating demands by the singer seemingly going unfufilled and the song ending with "lets start! the real us!" it seems that the couple has fallen so deeply in love with the violence of their partner that they are either ready to die in a "Climax" or are looking for someone else to "play with"
