I know what to say, Ashley ~ you are amazing to watch during the roofing process!! You stand, you walk, you help with supplies, and give encouragement/suggestions to Doug. Doug has a jewel in a wife...I can tell he knows it because he always has a conversation with you on the process. You make for an awesome team.

I was just telling my husband that even tho there is still so much left to be done, you guys have come an awful long ways already. The trees, mess, rickety porches etc. Looks great and so much to be proud of. Love each and every episode! Hi Belle and Maverick! xo❤

Doug's total surprise when it didn't fit! We NEVER hear that. I on the other hand am never surprised when something doesn't fit when I cut something.

Those mobiles have a 6 to 12 inch overhang on each end. Good job and be glad the home did not twist or shift when you removed the interior.

That must feel terrific!!! Almost done! In the sped up version of the roof going in, I thought Ashley must be pointing some things out to you as you worked and then I realized she was handing you the nails/screws. 😂 Didn't think you needed that much instruction.... Windows done, subfloor done, trusses done, siding replacement done, wiring done, roof done!!!!! And there is probably more that I missed. Woohoo!!!! Way to go!!!

When you showed the neighbors getting the new mobile home delivered I thought your rebuild would be much better quality and construction than the new one. This is from a former mobile home buyer.

I so clearly remember the "creepy" first walkthrough...the progress you have made boggles the mind!
I live in East Tennessee and the eclipse was a total bust here . I went outside when it was supposed to be the peak time and it was so cloudy that I couldn’t even find where the Sun was supposed to be . We had an excellent view of the 2017 eclipse with 4 minutes of totality. It was very cool but I think that I would be kinda disappointed if I had traveled several hundreds of miles to maybe get a glimpse .

Wow yall, just wow. It really paid off all the time it took you to repair & replace the bad siding, and all of the work to make the roof flat. Once it is painted it will look like a brand new home.
I would trust living in your old mobile home vs. living in a new one any time, any day, anywhere.
Doug totally did that on purpose. Just to make the rest of us feel better about ourselves. 😄
We also used a welders helmet to view the Eclipse. Worked great.

Their ability to work together and to learn is wonderful - the second half of the roof won't even take half-as-long as the first side.

I used a welding mask and sunglasses too!! We had a total eclipse up here.

It stinks that it downpoured before you could get the roof closed up. That's always the worst!

Can I take this opportunity to give a shout out to Ashley? In my head I always equate Doug as having a PHD in home building but I also think that Ashley has at minimum a Master’s degree in apprenticeship. Way to go, girl!👏👏👏👏
Huh? She hands him screws ... and films. Could just set up a stand for the phone/camera, and actually have two people doing the project. They had a video a while back where they actually talked about things. Otherwise, Doug does almost all the work.

The new roof will make all the difference in the finished look of the home. Plus the nice addition across the street to increase property values.
Yaaaaay! so glad to see the progress! Glad you guys got to see the eclipse too! The NASA channel may have some good videos where the kids can see the flares and prominences on the sun surface, and the moon craters fyi
Now I'm looking forward to the 2045 eclipse! haha ...it's a long ways away but the path of totality will pass right through Florida. :)

It's good to see people that are willing to work hard to make something good for themselves. :-) I enjoyed doing my own DIY back in the day. I did a lot of things myself, so I really appreciate what you do and know how much work some of these things can be. :-) My wife and I moved to central FL, Nature Coast 10 years ago and we love the sunshine.

Every time you get a new “toy”, I think how much easier or more professional it makes your work. I think “game changer”. But that van is probably the best bang for your buck. It has served you so well in many circumstances. You kids have made some fantastic choices/decisions.

It’s a shame about the last panel and the rain but construction gets rained on all the time so I’m sure it will be fine. I’m glad you got everything else done before that wind kicked in, that would have been dangerous to try and put the big panels down while it’s so strong! Looks great! 👏👌👍💕💕💕

When the siding is cleaned the mobile home will look brand new.
