Thank you for doing that Chris and Theo, I want you to know you're helping people in an immense way. I have to arrange different objects in a specific way or else I physically can’t carry on. Chris, mate. The start to this video means a lot to me. Too many guys I know have taken their lives because they didn’t think they had someone to talk to. It’s massive for you to show you (mostly younger) audience that’s it’s okay to open up about what’s going on in life. Lots of us grew up with male role models that taught us to bury our emotions and man up, this newer generation has so much potential.

    • @Rose.............

      men need to man up sometimes. especially in today society.

      @Trials_MEDIA 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@Rose.............the fact you’ve commented on all of these, 10 months later, screaming about how men need to ‘control their feelings’ and ‘man up’ makes me think your masculinity is a little bit fragile to think you can’t get through life without letting yourself feel. it’s okay to have emotions, man. it’s okay to have bad days and whether you think it’s a waste of time or not, what truly makes a man is choosing to keep going everyday

    • @Rose.............
      @Rose............. 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@Trials_MEDIA i never said dont let yourself feel. i said don't let how you feel affect what you do. we agree. it IS okay to have emotions, but they shouldn't matter. and the reason i have commented a lot on this vid is because I'm very passionate about men being strong, and CONTROLING emotions as the media tells young boys to be weak. please realize that controlling emotions is very very different than concealing them or bottling them up. no man "feels" like running into a burning building to save people, but we do it anyway. because we are men. we have a job to do. and that job is not to be weak.

    04:08, can't stop crying rn... Oh gosh.... that hit hard.
    Spent 7/8 years suffering with all sorts of mental health issues and never really being able to enjoy myself or my life, my life was so dark, like I had nothing to live for or be proud of - just felt so useless. 2017 was a good start mentally, started raving + clubbing, festivals + venues, was doing well by self-teaching myself self-love/care, 2020 struck + my hard work just disappeared.. lost my job, lost friends, stuck indoors with no festivals/raves. 2023 + I still have those days were I feel useless + not being able to enjoy my life and with my money issues recently I've felt like I've not been able to enjoy my life again.
    But seriously this little dmc + your videos, laugh, shorts etc have brought me so much happiness - you all have really. Haven't laughed so much in a long time !

      Keep your head up and keep going on strong! I realised myself too that everyday we've been blessed with by waking up, either it can go For you, or against you. It's all in the mind + you decide how the day goes. smiling at people, helping around the house, meditation, exercise, socialise etc.
      and another point is, even when we feel low we just need to remember this is temporary, Just like the sun shines during the day, and eventually it will set, & again in the morning it will rise. That's with everything in life. So no matter what keep on going, head up high and remember.... you're a warrior at heart 💪🏽

    Loved the chat between you both. Felt great to see such a big channel openly talk about it. Someone like me has considered advise and help in the past but always doubted. This gives me confidence to go through with it. So big thank you Chris and Theo. 😊

    Honestly, Chris, I relate SO strongly to the overthinking, and how it comes from a form of minor OCD. It's a constant bombardment of beating yourself about beating yourself up, trivial, but hurtful thoughts that are so quick that you can't stop them, and just finding ways to be unhappy, when really everything around you is going well. It makes such a difference to know that you feel the same. Thank you so much for putting this out there.
    EDIT - to add just a few more thoughts - You articulated yourself so well about the topic, it summed up the absolute exact feelings and thoughts I was having. Particularly relating to having no religion, so always framing everything to what it means for my entire life (ie. I should be making the most of every second of it, and not doing so is a bad thing). Also the thought spirals, and being able to recognise that you are in a tail spin, and pulling yourself out of that negativity, and how the best way is just to recognise the type of thoughts, and know that they don't need to be held over you. Again, it makes such a difference to me that someone I am such a fan of is able to sum up the exact motions of my life and mental health. I would be really interested in the techniques you use, and how you manage it all. Thanks so much again.

    Hey Chris I really appreciate this kind of video, it has really opened a can of worms and I’m thinking of doing this with a couple of my mates, just to really understand what they’re going through and if they are going through anything and just be there to listen. I really loved this video, I watched the entire thing with a smile on my face, it’s really good to put men’s mental health in the spotlight as it’s not really worried about these days and most men suffer i silence, so I appreciate you and Theo talking about everything that’s going on. Much love Chris, from Australia ❤️❤️

    Chris mate, I understand how you feel because I also struggle with overthinking. I have phases where I am fine but then I also have phases where I go round and round in my head about the same sort of things that I know is not true but my mind and thoughts can't help but think it is. It's very mentally draining I find and it's something that I have had for maybe 2 years now. It's nothing serious but it is something that I struggle with sometimes and I did see a counsellor for a couple of months for it so I was really pleased to hear that you had it too and you were able to sort it because that shows that no-one is fine all the time and it's important to admit when things are not ok because I don't always say but I realise that it is important that other people and I do. For anyone else struggling with overthinking or issues with mental health, you are not alone and you can get through it if you surround yourself with the right people who are there to support you and it's ok to speak up and admit what's going on because that's a step in the right direction. I know this is long but I just want everyone to know that it's important and you are not alone. ❤

    Wow I also have been diagnosed with OCD and it sucks how media portrays it to be a perfectionist thing or like a choice. No it’s miserable and ruminating and having intrusive thought and over thinking every little thing is like living in hell. It’s awesome to hear you speak about it Chris. It’s not easy but glad u did it

    • @dracodaym715
      @dracodaym715 Год назад +1

      @@czparta5936 I’m not gonna say it’s easy. I’ve had it for many years but got officially diagnosed 5 years ago when it was at its worst. Getting diagnosed was a big help to me because it allowed me to seperate the OCD as myself. I also have learned to somewhat ignore the thoughts by reminding myself that OCD lives off of attention, it wants to torture me so it could live on, and it manipulates my thinking so that I perceive myself to be a bad person that is not worthy of help. Just seperate urself from the OCD. If things didn’t worry u before ocd and suddenly ur worried then it’s just ocd trying to get ur attention. Distract urself when this happens so that the thoughts get silenced for a bit. Once you have done it so many times u then have evidence that it is possible and it’ll make it easier in the future. I also take medication, sertraline was a big help to me, it made the thoughts occur less and when they did occur I wouldn’t get strong negative feelings, thus making it easier to get them out of my head. The only negative thing about sertraline is that it made me gain weight, that’s one of its side effects, so rn I am on cymbaltal to see how the works. I also saw a therapist for a while to help me learn CBT and ERP procedures and that also helped.
      So to summarize, get diagnosed, try medication, receive therapy, and learn to identify the OCD thoughts and let them go. Obviously all of these are easier said than done, but just know things will get better. I have been in the lowest of places where I didn’t know what the purpose of living through this suffering is, but I just thought of my family and people I loved and was able to push through and things did get better. Good luck, and feel free to communicate with me more if u need.

    Thanks for the opening up on life segment and idea. I’ve felt that once you finish school, or education you lose a lot of friends with how life goes on. Nothing malicious, but you all drift away and it becomes hard to have people to speak to when you’re feeling low.
    These past two years, or past year mostly have been so hard for me and I’ve wanted to speak to a friend about it for so long but I’ve felt so restricted and lonely at times. I’m hoping next time I see one of my close friends I can speak to them about this and feel better about myself.
    I just want to also say thank you to yourself over the years. I’ve watched your channel(s) grow from the early days, seen you grow from collabing with Kelly and Ollie to Ronaldo and Fabregas. But your videos recently have been so good. Seeing you share your personality in more explicit videos makes every video seem so much more freeing and I can sense that and I’m sure yourself making them is an even better feeling.
    Thanks for all the content and motivation you’ve produced over the years. Only recently do I feel consistent and motivated to live my dream on this platform and I owe a lot of it to videos like this.
    Sincerely, ChrisMD best ever goals X3 creator
