    Your work is beautiful and very well done. I am looking to use whole rose blooms and need something easier due to trouble with my hands.
    I notice you are diligent with proper tools. How do you safely clean and dispose of trace resin from your projects?
    I have worked it on how to be safe mixing and making but not sure how to dispose of/clean mixing containers etc.
    Do you have a video on that aspect?
    Many thanks.

      Thank you! I let the resin harden, then peel them off the containers. I keep the cured resin to reuse in future pieces to save on material as well. I don’t have a video covering that specially, but this is something I make with my the cured resin from cups and stuff - ruclips.net/video/9D65wuE6RRg/видео.html.

    Gorgeous! You are such an inspiration. I want to learn how to do this. Can you please show a video of you top coating a block like this one. I can't imagine it looking better than it does now. Do you top coat all your preservation pieces?

    • @EllafulDeco
      @EllafulDeco  Год назад

      Thank you so much for watching! I'll add the top coating part to my next floral block video. I top coat all my pieces now because I feel like it adds an extra level of professionalism to it and the shine is like no other. Top coating blocks is the same process as top coating any other piece though. It may be a little bit scary at first, because it's a larger block, but it's really the same as any flat surface. Practice on things like coasters and you'll get the hang of it!

      Thank you! I haven’t tried Stone Coat. I’ve been using TotalBoat for almost 4 years now with no issues. Resin is also expensive and I don’t have the money to test different resins just for experimentation at the moment 😅

    My resin will start curing in the cup in 6 hours.

      @EllafulDeco  4 месяца назад +1

      This is my process for the specific resin that I use - TotalBoat’s Thickset Fathom Resin. If you’re using a different resin, follow the instructions on your resin. You will have to figure out how to work with your resin through trial and error.

      Thank you! Are you using the same brand and type of resin that I am as well? Every brand is different and every type of resin from one brand is different as well. They are usually measured by volume, but there should also be instructions for measuring by weight as well. I can only give details for the resins that I use because those are the ones I know.

    How much was your wait time between each layer?

    • @EllafulDeco
      @EllafulDeco  10 месяцев назад +1

      The wait time for each layer depends on your resin, how deep you pour, and your environment. For me and the resin that I used in this video, I usually wait 24 hours in between layers. I wait 12 hrs after mixing before I even pour into the mold.

    • @EllafulDeco
      @EllafulDeco  10 месяцев назад +1

      These flowers are dried in silica gel prior to preserving in resin.

    Hi Ella
    I have a question for you, I tried to make exact same thing for a first time but after I take out my flower preservation from Mold the sides and the bottom of the flower preservation was matt , why??
    Only the surface was really clear and glossy what was the reason?
    Please help me to fix this problem. Thank you

    • @EllafulDeco
      @EllafulDeco  Год назад

      Hi Paris! Is your mold matte? If your mold is matte, the sides that touch the mold will also be matte. It can be fixed with a coat of resin or sanding and polishing.

      @@EllafulDeco my mold is a white colour silicone, how should I recognise if its matte or not?

    • @EllafulDeco
      @EllafulDeco  Год назад +1

      @@pariskasmai9946 I'm not exactly sure how to explain it with words, but here's an example: www.amazon.com/Walfos-Silicone-Donut-Mold-Dishwasher/dp/B08FHS4PZC (shiny) and www.amazon.com/Aichoof-Doughnuts-Non-Stick-Dishwasher-Resistant/dp/B0BTHGMF7H (matte). For my molds, usually tinted, if the inside of the mold is fading to white, then it's turning matte. Resin will cause molds to slowly turn matte with each since it's a harsh chemical.
