    Wanted to let you know that I purchased the Kaplan ASVAB prep plus book. But having been out of school for 6 years now ! I forgot mostly all of the math I learned. So I used the book to see what I needed to learn and watched HOURS and HOURS of your math and arithmetic videos. I scored an 88!! And now have nearly unlimited job options! Thanks so much for this. Couldn’t have done it without your help! I studied for a whole month then took my test.

      Congrats on the high score, and it's always nice to hear that my videos are helpful, even though you clearly put in the time to learn the material yourself! You're are welcome, and I wish you the best if you decide to enlist in the military. Given your high score, they're probably pushing you to a specific job (e.g., nuke), but you should try to pick something you want! Do your research before MEPs!

    • @GrammarHero

      You really aren’t suppose to be studying for general science, since the ASVAB is an aptitude test. That said, you can find free study guides for it on Union Test Prep’s website: uniontestprep.com/asvab/study-guide

    I’ve taken a few college English courses so a lot of these words I recognize or I know the meaning of them but I get them mixed up a bit. I haven’t even spoken to a recruiter yet but I plan to in 3 months. Is going through all your test a good method of practicing on it? I’m writing all the words and definitions side by side when I’m taking these tests as well.

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  2 года назад +1

      Instead, use this free website: vocabtest.com
      There are 2,400 words on that website, and you want to learn the words in grades 6 to AP senior.
      Good luck!

      @@GrammarHero If you don’t mind, I have question in regard to my studying schedule. I also purchased the newest version of “The ASVAB for dummies” book. I’m wondering how I should disperse my study sessions for each section of the ASVAB.
      Would you recommend me cycling through sections I need to work on throughout the week or focus on one section per week?
      Thanks in advance!!

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  2 года назад

      @@AiMbot47 Have you taken a practice test with a recruiter yet? If you score above a 50 on that practice test, I would just take 10 to 20 practice tests, focus on learning the topics you struggled with during those practice tests, and then go take the real test. A lot of people can go from a 50 on the practice test to a 75+ on the real test by studying for a week or two.

      @@GrammarHero No I have not. I currently don’t have time. Im currently in season for Wild Land, and I’m back in December hopefully.
      I tried to enlist maybe 7 years ago when I was first 18, and I scored a 41 at meps. During that time though, my line scores were low so the job offers were abysmal. I also didn’t take it seriously like I am now being older so I didn’t study. My weak point is math.

    Are these words on the real test?

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  2 года назад +1

      The ASVAB is a computer-adaptive test. Because of that, the words you see on your test should be different than the words the person who is sitting to the left and right of you will get.
