Madam , how practical is to use ADX? On short term charts by the time you see a trend build up it gets exhausted. On the long term ones more often than not it would prompt to you to exit before you need to. Most of the indicators in retrospect are nice to look at on a chart. But in actual practice when a trend develops they are either too late or too early.
@@krishnaiahchamuru9370 Your observation is very right. All the indicators are the "Lagging" indicators. By the time you see them to take a decision, the moment or the point of entry/ exit is already gone in the Past. After that, you don't know the Current or the Latest position/ development in the graph. So your decision, based on the Past, is likely to go wrong or could be partially right. If you are a long term investor (6 months to many more years), then an indicator and the technical chart of the stock will be useful to _some extent_ to decide. But do not forget, for any long term investment, "Fundamental Analysis" is much more significant than a technical chart or an indicator. Hope clear.
Correct if Iam wrong this similar to TTM squeeze you explain if it is different. I don't know you have this indicator in your platform and Iam new to trading and started in thinkorswim in US
On trading view free software we are not getting seperate line for DM+ or DM- we get only a single ADX line ,so wt should be the setting or is the setting available only on paid version of trading views

Tons of videos i have seen on adx it is not much useful indicator, it works only onesided trend, working trending days r lo available in u tube
