Bought this cue two weeks ago because i wanted a cue that i could leave in the car and not worry about warping. What a pleasant surprise. The fit and finish is absolutely beautiful. The leather wrap is American buffalo hide. It plays as good as my $750 Lucasi Hybrid. I paid $254 plus tax. I think it was a great deal and I'm not easily impressed.
Awesome and it definitely is.. I had a Lucasi Pinnacle Custom Hybrid it was $1,400 it was good but this cue beats it for less than half the price.. You can’t be mad at that. Did you change the tip?
I did order a KONLLEN Rainbow Billiards Tip with Clear soft for a replacement tip. Like you, after playing with it for a week, the original tip is doing fine. I'll replace it in a couple of months with the Konllen tip. Thanks again for the review.
I agree, I bought two of the CUEDESG cues with no wrap for $199 each. I shoot with one at home and take one out to the pool hall. Best cue per dollar ratio. Played better than the McDermott Defy shaft I bought for $300.
I’m glad you like it, I have to admit I didn’t want to like it at first but for less than $200 I don’t think anyone can beat that, plus popular names are charging a lot more for a lot less makes it an even sweeter deal 🍭 Did you change the tip?
USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CUE I got this cue because I wanted a secondary cue not as expensive as my main one, and because in this video and the comments it was very praised. Now that I have tested it for enough time I would like to give my honest feeling about it because there is to much hype in this video and in the comments about it. First I'm going to list the main pros and cons and then I will compare it with a high quality cue for deeper explanation. I have to say also that if you don't live in the USA you have to pay the shipping plus the import taxes, so at the end the final price was around 360 € and for me that isn't a "cheap cue" anymore, here we are in the intermediate range. I won't talk about the tip, the weight or the balance because each one has his own preferences. Pros: Nice look and finish, the touch and feeling is very good, the shaft is very smooth and once screwed it feels like a solid one piece cue. It has power and overall is a nice intermediate level cue that corresponds to the price you pay for it. Cons: It deflects considerably, needs to play a lot with it in order to understand exactly how much you need to compensate when using side spin. The tapper is smooth but chunky, so it's not so fluid if you sometimes use close bridge as I do for some shots. Now I'm going to compare it with my main cue, the one that I train daily and play in tournaments with. The shaft that I use is a JFLOWERS SMO (funny that it was mentioned on the video) that is considered as one of the highest carbon shafts in the actual market. I won't compare it with the Predator Revo and Cuetec Cynergy that are also mentioned in the video because I've never used them more than a couple of matches with friends that own them, so I can't have a solid experience and opinion about them. For the comparison let's say that the JFLOWERS SMO has 10/10 in each category, not to say that it's perfect but just to give a better understanding of the ratings for the Cuedesg: 1) In terms of feeling in the hand, the Cuedesg is really smooth and comfortable, I can't tell that it doesn't feel as smooth as my SMO, but it is way thicker, while the SMO has a very long pro tapper that gives you exactly the same diameter even with you play with very long bridges. I'd give Cuedesg 7/10. 2) In terms of power it has power, but it gives less action to the cueball than the high end shaft, so you have to put some more effort. I give it also 7,5/10. 3) The deflection of the Cuedesg shaft is important and the difference with the SMO is brutal, they literally don't play in the same league. When you put side spin intentionally you have to adjust a lot. The back hand pivot works fine with it and you can get used to it, so it can be ok. BUT when you put unintentional side spin (because it happens to everyone as we are not perfect), it doesn't forgive anything and you miss the shot or the position 100% of the time. That becomes even more critical when you elevate the back of the cue because you have to cue over another ball or you want to screw the cueball from the rail. So for the deflection I give it 5/10. 4) I'm not really concerned about the sound of the shafts but for some players it's important so the sound of the Cuedesg is fine, 9/10. So let's see the final conclusions: The Cuedesg is overall a cue that sits in the mid range and corresponds exactly to the price you are paying for. And that's it. You can enjoy playing with it and develop a good game with it. But if you are looking for professional equipment that you can trust in the most important matches and tournaments for the toughest shots and recoveries... it's not this kind of equipment. So I definitely can't say that it matches the JFlowers SMO (by far) and I would never ever say that it outclasses it. I don't say that to disrespect this cue because it's just nice. But I just want to warn the players to be careful with this kind of hype that you see on the videos and reviews because it can mislead some of them. Remember: a mid range cue that outclasses professional cues and it's so affordable just doesn't exist. If you like playing and you want a nice decent cue for under 400€ go for it. If you have higher standards you are going to waste your money because in the future you will need to get a better cue. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: if you try this cue or another cue of the same range thinking that it matches the professional cues and you think that this is the best playing experience a pool cue can give you... NO. You will be crazy when you are going to try something like the SMO or the high end equipment because the quality you get is just insane. We are just talking about different worlds. Thanks for reading this review. Keep in mind that I wasn't trying to be rude but just as honest as possible for helping other players and give them a deeper understanding of the differences between this cue and a professional cue. And I wouldn't do it to criticize the mid range cues but just because in some videos they state that they match or outclass the pro cues for low prices. And when you hear something that is to good to be true... probably it isn't :)

I think a good cue will help you play better than a bad cue.. Effren can play pool with a broomstick, I don’t think 99% of us could beat him even if he played with one hand behind his back. Which doesn’t mean we shouldn’t use 2 hands
@@PoolNerdsTV Of course a good cue would help but a good cue does not necessarily mean expensive. Just concentrate on the skill set and not poking on expensive cues. It does not do magic. Efren does his magic because he was playing the game since he was 5 years old.
Cool vid man.. looks like it plays Ok as well. I went from Revo to Cynergy to another level..... I picked up 2 custom Hsunami keilwood shafts from Richard Hsu. Without a doubt the best shafts I have ever hit with and I have played with hundreds of cue / shaft combos.
I use a carbon shaft called Yfen. Just because it's not a popular name doesn't mean it won't perform. Most of the carbon blanks that companies use here are Chinese and then marked up to meet their financial needs. Why pay the middle man?
Another great video. Thx. Per your suggestion, I bought Byrne’s pool book ( 350 moves ). While it’s a fantastic book it’s a little a little above my pay grade. As a complete newbie I was looking for more basic information but I’ll definitely use it when I get better.
Thank you! 350 shots starts off with some of the basics, if you don’t skip chapters but if it’s to advanced I would suggest 99 critical shots, it will be more beginner friendly.. Keep in mind you’re probably going to suck the 1st time you do anything and there’s nothing easy about learning pool… There’s a saying “A proficiency at billiards is a sign of a misspent youth”
@@PoolNerdsTV - Thanks. I’ll check out the other book. Don’t get me wrong … I really enjoy Byrne’s book but it’s like … damn, let me make sure I can make all the ‘easy’ shots first.

The exact one I had was $250 but the shafts are all the same
nah bud $340 for the one that looks like the one you reviewed, 3rd time posting this comment only this time with out the correct url link. But I also understand that might have been the sale $Price.
But my question still stands, @ $340 with all the other options available on the market, is this cue still worth it???
Also does the butt have the option for screw in extension?
Yes it does
Playing billiards is 99% skill, 1% cue. Efren once used a 5 dollar cue in a tournament.
I appreciate the kind words.. Did you get the original Hsunami or the 2.0?
Pls do a rhino review
Already have it filmed just need to find time to edit and release.. Will be coming within the next 2 weeks
Must have missed sale, cue is 299 now...
Crazy how a cheap Carbon cue is lower deflection than the Cynergy shaft which is big name. Yikes 🥶 Cuetec got some work to do😅
If their goal is to be the lowest deflection, they are beat, However “feel” wise the Cynergy does shine in that area
@@PoolNerdsTV 👍
damn this same model cue on Amazon Australia is $700 plus bucks
@@OznerolPool say word!?
I think on Amazon it says the leather is buffalo.
I use a carbon shaft called Yfen. Just because it's not a popular name doesn't mean it won't perform. Most of the carbon blanks that companies use here are Chinese and then marked up to meet their financial needs. Why pay the middle man?
Exactly

Sell off everything else. And buy a backup, you're set.
Lol
