Normally the smell is different. The original one smells so leathery. Fake ones smells like chemical or plastic. Also, if you buy with a paperbag, Longchamp paperbags are glow in the dark. The letters are glow in the dark as well as the stickers they put on the paperbag.

You forgot one of the most detailed info. the year "1948" when it all started. Some in fake bags does not have, if not some are all upside down numbers. Check on the flap and the zipper(gold/grey hardware) it should be clearly stamped.. Also don't be dismay if it says made in china(algeria, italy. n of course France) if everything checked as real, the material used is original n came from france, just the labor but with quality control for sure, and just like the rest of branded goods high end products can be made in china. Reality check, as we all know.

The royal blue is a discontinued colour from around 2016. I know bc I bought mine from a Longchamp store.
