Excellent performance. Sad though that no details are given about the kids performing. It would be so good to know how these boys are all doing now - they all must be in their late teens or early twenties now.
Very well done and yes, he sung it as vemako. I really enjoyed the concert with literal meaning. My best wishes to the team. You may get the correct lyrics with meaning at www.karnatik.com/c2757.shtml
It is not Raavemako; it is Raavemoko - Raavu + Emoko = Raavemoko. Emoko means enduko in Telugu and why in English. Why don't you come Lord Rama to protect me. is the meaning of Rama Nannu (me) Brova (Protect) Raavemoko (why don't you come). Similarly, VataatmajAdula should be combined and should "not" be sung as Vaatatmaja BREAK... Dula chentane. Likewise, Bhayametikanna maata should not be sung as BhayameTTi kanaa maata. Bhayamu + Etiki + Anna when combined gives Bhayametikanna. Not BhayameTTi
It is basically many of the Tamil vidwans who teach children Karnatic music are themselves unaware of the meaning of the Tyagaraja kritis! These children must listen to either Balamurali Krishna or Malladi brothers to note when to give a break and when not to split the word. Even very eminent musicians like GNB used to make such mispronunciation.
Very good performance congratulations to all God bless them all Best of luck
I think the singer was Sai Vignesh of Chennai who won Super Singer 4th edition Tamil. Long live. Thanks.
