One thing i've observed after watching some Anees Bazmee interviews is that he is very open to change and feedback. That is something other directors his age or even younger seem to lack.
@@amodhsaxena6103 of course he is no Scorsese. Masala movies aren't really my thing either. But imho his films are visually modern (though not pathbreaking like most mainstream films) unlike say David Dhawan's films. him getting someone else to write his films, even though he is a celebrated writer himself, probably shows that he understands that someone else can do a better job. I am not sure if i would even call his work dated, considering how the very celebrated Stree 2 is as good/bad as BB3.
@@tejas9608 Being visually modern is more a technician achievement (cinematographer, colourist, VFX artists)..etc rather than the directors. So u can't attribute that to him.
@@amodhsaxena6103 Stree being miles better is your opinion, not some objective truth. i personally didn't like the writing. just another film for the tier-2/3 audience with no great subtext/politics. the director decides his team. he gives them instructions/collaborates with them. he has the final say on every decision on a film. if it was so easy to make a decent looking film, why do so many oldies make films that look crap?
The best interview ever, deep reverence towards these great directors who've given us so many beautiful films and memories. Podcasters and interviewers must learn to conduct an interview or session like this with this level of people. Hat's off, loved it. ❤
amazing roundtable..didnt imagine I wud see Imtiyaz and Anees in a single frame! Hatsoff Faridoon..been a big fan and follow all channels bcoz of u- Bollywood Hungama, Connect Cine & now your own channel!
I don't know why anees bazmee suddenly changed the topic during celebrity entourage discussion and started discussing the songs?! that topic was probably the most interesting and controversial topic that everybody was ready to discuss!!😅
This discussion was not a normal conversation, it was a TWO YEAR COURSE IN SCREENWRITING AND FILMMAKING! Thank you guys, ❤

He might pretend to be that, but he is superbly dated as a film maker.

I love your interview style. It is like a casual discussion and you cover everything under the Sun for smoothly
Great Faridoon. You managed to get all of them together for a sit down interview.
Great round-table and amazing questions
I’m so happy to see Anees Bazmee , Kabir Khan & Imtiaz Ali in same frame 😍♥️
Great panel, I wonder why Amar Kaushik not been part of other director roundtables. Possibly unavailable but thats a shame
Faridoon you are an amazing interviewer. I like the questionnaire and the way you conduct it.. you are a very mature. serious and skilful interviewer
Achha? Aapke expectations kaafi low hain.
At 13:48 Kabir Khan is saying something else and then at 16:48 he's saying something else 😅
