I never thought I would enjoy this music as much as I do haha , I was a rap guy years ago , turned into depressing country & into indie music & now here I am , still fighting thoughts in my head
@@justalex3209 was actually metal for me. My childhood and teenage years were all about metal and Im not an indi fan at all. But the guitar work a lot of emo/mathrock bands do, appeals to me on a spiritual level Christ- Only Every Other Day, was the real catalyst around when i was 17ish. More of a hardcore band i suppose, but not as bombastic as a lot of hardcore ive heard since
Damn I remember listening to this during my time in high school. Junior year worst year ever but I had fun. This song was on repeat when I use to study or just sit and listen to. Now I sit and listen to this because it reminds me and wtf I use to be like. Music can go a long way
For real bro, music can remind me of my mental state or just general life at that time. Listening to something I listened too in middle school reminds me of how far I've come and changed
I feel you bro. First found this during the summer before senior year of high school. I was actually taking summer classes and would blast this on my bike ride to school lol damn the memories It's weird because I think I acquired a lot of taste in music at around this time, and it really changed my person through the rest of the school year. So now I have fond memories of events, people, and my interests at the time through this music.
Bit late, but my junior year was the worst for me. Both my parents got locked up and told no one about it. If it weren’t for bands like running shoes, foxing, and Marietta I would have been a lot worse
I hate the stigma around emo music. So many people are mindless douchebags in highschool even most of the poser kids who listened to radio friendly emo just to get pussy. If you are still listening to this stuff it means you have a big mind, and a big heart. I feel really bad for the diluted teens/young adults who now listen to shitty ass rap music. Don't get me wrong I love hip hop and a select amount of rap music but 99% of it is rinsing and repeating garbage. The world is crumbling.

Okay, gonna keep this heart felt shit brief, but I’m about to graduate High School, and like a bunch of mw emo songs, this one had really helped me through some dark shit. I’m very fucking scared of leaving my youth behind, but it has to happen eventually. Jommeez, thank you for such an amazing bunch of years music wise. Your output of music is fucking incredible and I’ll forever be thankful for the shit that your Best Witches or Camping In Alaska or Oh My God Elephant uploads had gotten me through. Finding bands through your channel has been incredible, and extremely influential, causing me to even start making my own stuff in 2021 haha. Thanks a bunch dude. Love you always. It’s okay to be scared❤
hey dude I just graduated highschool and for the first couple of days I felt so lost, ive been litsening to mw emo and indie this year and yeah its been such a live saver litsening to these songs because I know that im not alone in the feelings of fleeting youth and how im gonna stay on my feet. finding something that perfectly incapsulates these feelings is great and the community around this type of music, I wish you the best of luck man.
I miss the person at KM Music, who later changed to Kelbs. They got down twice for some copyright things. Idk the new Channel Name, nor the Email to contact them. It's from them, that I got to know about Mom Jeans, running shoes, Worst Party Ever, teen suicide, Figure 8 etc. If you're reading this, please reply because I really do need you in my life.
randomly found this, so beautiful and touching. Are you guys still a band? Photoclub a post/punk band from Wilmington NC wants to play a show with you all!
Man, the instrumentation is so fucking solid it's a god damn shame the lead singer sounds like he's whining the entire song. I will never understand why some otherwise great bands insist on letting their worst singer be the singer. And just because "it's _supposed_ to sound bad" doesn't mean that it doesn't sound bad.
bad is subjective. sounds to me like dudes fr putting his whole heart into about to cry so hard he passes out after he takes off the headphones and gets out of the booth
I feel bad for anybody who doesn't think that these hurtful and "bad" vocals DON'T enhance the experience and actually add to the amazing instrumentation, though I understand that some people just don't wanna listen to people basically let everything out and not really care about how they sound over some beautifully put together songs. Obviously there is still a lot of effort and thought put into the lyrics, but the performance is where the release is allowed, and to some that makes everything come full circle with how the song *feels*. Then you have other bands like Orchid that have a more artistic approach to intensity, who take vocal styles to a next creative level, whom most wouldn't even wanna listen to, with instrumentals that are severely clever and the musicians clearly being very talented. Whether anyone likes it or not, it's all for a reason, so yeah rock on with what you fuck wit
i'm listening to this song to celebrate IWD (Iinternational woman day lol!!! get with it!!!) so this song goes to tall strong women who beat up motorcycle gangs and teach gym class and don't let my dad kiss them when he drinks beer!!! my mom said every day is womans day because she has to go to work but I told her that today was a holiday and that she should ask santa for a new boyfriend because santa will feel bad about woman today and say yes
