I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you sister I'm a student of Humanities and I can say it with full conviction and confidence that neither Mahabharata nor Ramayana is properly taught in our books (neither it's taught in ANY CBSE affiliated schools that I know of) And the instances where it IS mentioned are shamelessly cherry picked to prove a point (which usually show the story and its characters in the negative light, no context is provided to REALLY understand what is happening in the story, the only thing my friends are learning is an extremely dumbed-down version of the story) And as far as Yoga is concerned, it's just there for name sake... The Yoga that's taught to us is as good as your typical PE drill, not to mention that it's done as a 25 min assembly, that too JUST ONCE every 1 or 2 months (and sometimes it's worse than a games period lol) Maybe your school was an exception, but all the schools I've been to, I haven't see any such thing Now having said that, I DO know of schools in India who have a dedicated faculty that teaches our culture just the way it's meant to be taught, but again, those kind of school are EXTREMELY rare, so rare that I've only see them on RUclips and mentioned on few different articles, never in person

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you sister
I'm a student of Humanities and I can say it with full conviction and confidence that neither Mahabharata nor Ramayana is properly taught in our books (neither it's taught in ANY CBSE affiliated schools that I know of)
And the instances where it IS mentioned are shamelessly cherry picked to prove a point (which usually show the story and its characters in the negative light, no context is provided to REALLY understand what is happening in the story, the only thing my friends are learning is an extremely dumbed-down version of the story)
And as far as Yoga is concerned, it's just there for name sake...
The Yoga that's taught to us is as good as your typical PE drill, not to mention that it's done as a 25 min assembly, that too JUST ONCE every 1 or 2 months (and sometimes it's worse than a games period lol)
Maybe your school was an exception, but all the schools I've been to, I haven't see any such thing
Now having said that, I DO know of schools in India who have a dedicated faculty that teaches our culture just the way it's meant to be taught, but again, those kind of school are EXTREMELY rare, so rare that I've only see them on RUclips and mentioned on few different articles, never in person
