you should have listed what type of board you used, how you cloned the current image onto the new board, etc... in my case i used a M2 Adapter and HyNix cloning software since i have HyNix chips in other computers - worked perfectly - i do appreciate the tip about the screw on the side and how to get the case off/on

They all over heat. You just cant run very intense programs on them. The m5 is weak.

Is the memory under the battery?

It doesn't have replaceable memory, the memory is soldered on the motherboard. You can only change the SSD

Ram is not replaceable, the SSD, Wireless card, battery, and WLAN cards are. if you have the keyboard with the battery you can disassemble and replace it as well.
