„Hello hangover, how're you doing my old friend?”, fragen Jaya The Cat im gleichnamigen Song und geben damit auch schon die Richtung vor für ihre Konzerte. Denn Jaya The Cat singen viel und gerne über Alkohol und Partys. Und übers Kiffen. Seit 2003 leben die Bandmitglieder passend dazu auch in Amsterdam und touren von dort aus durch Europa und die USA.
Ursprünglich kommt die Band aus Boston. Dort fing sie 1995 an, in Clubs und Bars aufzutreten und Reggae mit Rock und Punk zu kombinieren. So konnte sie sich damals schon eine erste Fangemeinde erspielen. Ihre Musik pendelt heute nach wie vor zwischen Reggae und Punk und mischt gekonnt beide Genres, die sich bei Jaya The Cat perfekt ergänzen und zusammen gehören. Live überzeugen sie damit regelmäßig ihre Zuschauer in Clubs und auf den Festival-Bühnen. Und so schließt sich der Kreis zu ihren Liedern und den Themen, die sie beschäftigen, wenn sie singen: “Thank you Reggea!”.

@@edmesser1 That, I am not sure of since Geoff did move to Europe two decades ago. Best bet is to type "Jaya The Cat [year]" into RUclips and start with 2024 and work back until you find a recording.
