    Dr. Hayden, I'm going to offer some unsolicited advice. I hope you don't mind TOO much. Would you consider adjusting the position of your mic and getting a little closer to it? The volume is very low. That's not a big deal. I just turned up my speakers. Of course, the next video or ad will blast my housemates to the moon if I'm not careful to adjust the volume before that happens. The most bothersome thing to me, though is static and the acoustics. If I were not so desperate for information on these terrible new contacts I'm wearing, I would not listen to your video, because I'm highly sensitive to static, and bad acoustics are also very uncomfortable to me. I'm going to listen; but it's uncomfortable for me, and I just wanted to give you this information in case it might help you with your channel.

    I tried the multi focal deals, I could see way off great. Middle was really bad, close up was a little better but i couldnt read like I wanted to. I'm not sure the technology on these are where they need to be right now. I tried a couple different ones and it was the same result. I just wear glasses now as wearing contacts and having to pull out reading glasses seemed to defeat the purpose. Just get the contacts that are right for you without reading and use reading glasses if need be or just wear glasses which is the less troublesome. way.

      I had the same issue....slightly burry when looking at my phone...so I asked for the 'High' add for dailies total one and that made all the difference. I also think you need to wear them everyday for 2 weeks so brain can adjust.

    I can't see from a far. I can see near. What kind of lense should I use. I was asked to try multifocal. And the monovision.
    Before I would wear eyeglasses from a far but texting or near I will take off my eyeglasses if it's close. So far I have tried only monovision. I will also try monofilament and a backup eyeglasses for home use.

    Can you use this if you have monofocal IOL due to cataracts ?

  • @waynedrinnen3297
    @waynedrinnen3297 3 года назад +1

    Started the Dailies Total 1 Multifocals yesterday. Had cataract surgery 2 months ago with implantation of a toric IOL in right eye. I am still adjusting but these lens are just plain awesome. Reading and viewing computer is the best it has been since I was 40. Crisp and sharp. They look to be very expensive for contacts but I am willing to pay for these results. Previous to cataract surgery I had to wear GSP's to get any clarity, but this totally out performs that. And that is with a residual partially mature cataract in my dominant left eye. Can not wait until that is corrected and makes my distance even better.

      Hi there. How is your distance vision now with multifocal contacts on top of monofocal IOL? How is vision/contrast in low light? Thanks

    • @waynedrinnen3297
      @waynedrinnen3297 2 года назад +1

      @@AndyMarkMorpho They have switched me to a different B&L contact because they left me with some residual astigmatism in my left eye following my second cataract surgery. Dailies does not make the Tori’s lens I need to compensate. But I personally think the Dailies were a much superior lens to what I have now.

    I tried multifocals at the doctors office and I basically couldn't see beyond six feet. Medium was perfect (hyper good) and close was okay. I mean... I would have been happy with at least okay distance, but I was afraid to drive. I'm wondering if we should have experimented a little bit more. The doctor seems to think monovision could work for me. I have been trying monovision for about three days now. Distance and medium is sharp but close (and computer work) isn't as good as I would like. I know there is a little bit of a trade off, I'm just wondering what the best option is.

      I originally tried multifocals a few weeks ago. Dailies Total 1. I didn’t like them. Doctor switched me to Acuvue Oasys Max 1 day multifocal and after 2 fittings she got it right. Love the Acuvue multifocals.

      It takes time for the brain to learn what signals to pay attention to though, for the distance vision especially, so testing needs to be for a couple of weeks, not in the office? That's what I was told before going home with blurry distance vision when first trying progressive contacts, and it was annoying and a bit anxiety-provoking to just go with it, but my brain did figure it out! Suddenly text at distance would snap into clear focus, was the first sign.

    I'm trying total one and the left lens keeps drifting and it's hard to fish out. I can tell it has drifted because I can no longer see. Is it possible the lens doesn't fit. This is three daily lenses in a row out of one pack that have done that. I've not had this happen before. I used coopervision, and the size was 8.6. Biofinity was 8.6 also. The right eye has not been a problem, but the trauma of dealing with these lens drifts is really disturbing. I didn't realize until I watched this video that total one are all 8.5. Interesting.

    • @paradoxregina
      @paradoxregina 15 дней назад

      Trauma? Are the lenses physically cutting in to your eye when they drift off? This is awful! Or does the drifted lens instill pure horror as something blurrs one eye? Also awful, poor you!
