I watched the film one year ago in the cinema, this was by far my favourite scene. Back then, I said to myself: I need to look up this scene to get the name of the song. However, this was when the film was only premiering at film festivals, so there was no information available, and over time, I just forgot. But then suddenly, I remembered, and here I am. And now I know! An incredibly cathartic scene. She is suppressing so many feelings throughout the film, this is one of the few moments where she can let go of all the emotional weight and just be at ease with herself and the world.
A f**king tremendous scene. Directed beautifully with lush cinematography which completely fits in perfectly with the BANGER soundtrack and the emotions of the character. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5
I love how the movie shows her growing up through her search for identity and format. I like the context of the time, the clash and cross-cultural, the harmony between the national tradition and the global contemporary.
An amazing scene, that captures the identity of the character, and the essence of this beautiful, important film, framed by a superb soundtrack. 10/10.
Siempre BIZARRE LOVE TRIANGLE en el retrovisor: While shooting the scene, Park danced to New Order’s “Love Bizarre Triangle,” and then Arcache reverse-engineered the rhythm of the score’s track to her movements, to make it feel perfectly tailored to Freddie’s longing. But the song’s unusual construction withholds any sense of closure. “It’s not a very coherent sound, but it raises the same questions as the movie does,” Musset said. “I don’t have answers, but the film articulates the questions.”
I loved this scene so much! Oc I cannot know why it makes you feel uncomfortable, my interpretation of this scene is that, when she is exposed to other people's emotions, she doesn't know how to react because she's unable to connect with hers, let alone with those of others, and the dancing is her running away from the discomfort into a safe zone where she feels in control again. Maybe you emphatised with her discomfort ? At any rate, just my interpretation 😊
Loved this scene and how long it goes on. Dance scenes always make movies better.
Just mentioning two who excel at this: Xavier Dolan, Wong Kar-wai
@@adamh9579 Totally agree! Other examples would be Aftersun and Another Round
This is the exact moment I fell in love with this movie.

so well said!
I had the same thought. When I couldn't find the song I actually contacted the sound director and found the song once it released haha
I disagree actually. I saw it as her trying to subdue her suffering.
In a way I can see both of you being right @@DragonballG.

I cried watching this scene
It keeps haunting me all day long
Yes this movie made me cry. I think it reminds me a lot of the Asian spirit in the global contemporary context.
Great performances all around, and what a movie!

Favorite scene from the film! Any chance we can get it uploaded in HD?
The best film I've seen at the JAFF Film Festival in Indonesia! I wish I could watch it again...

Questa scena con la musica che l'accompagna rende il film una gemma preziosa. Piccolo capolavoro pur con qualche approssimazione.

5 o'clock at night, and I'm awake with my headphones on and dancing🎉

can someone write the lyrics of this song?
The dance of psychopath, dead inside full of hatred and anger but seems happy from the outside
I wanted so bad that Freddie and the other girl had kissed on that scene😢😢
480p Really?
I dont know why, but this scene make me feel a bit uncomfortable 🙄
🤣
@@elementofgrace2293 what do you mean with that? 😂
@@alrosan3421 I get what you mean because the dance is like someone just vibing to music by shaking vigorously
@@elementofgrace2293 yes, her movements are strange. But i think the director wanted that, to show that she is in “her world”.
