Basically 2 years after the heroic rescue of Subash ( Manjummel Boys).
History was created that day . He became the only surviver to see the skys again.

Actually this cave is not a real cave...as per British archives -Its situated between 2 mountains that create a narrow way into the deep..,due to poor lighting conditions people will accidentally fall into sinkholes, chambers & holes which were formed naturally

Thanks for sharing this video. Yes, this is the exact location. I went there in 1997. The feel couldn't be expressed in words. Though its very greeny and beautiful while climbing up,... When trying to go to this spot it was like 'HELL'.
We didn't have even digital camera at that time to capture. Inside the cave. we just lit one match stick and we could see only that flame and nothing around us. Was shocked to feel 'Devil's kitchen " environment. I should appreciate Kamal and crew, explored this location and shot a song.
The place where kamal puts his foot on the big rock is really scary and deep. When I went it rained suddenly. Then completely surrounded with mist. The vision changes so quickly that you might loose the path. I went again next year and heard many unconfirmed news of missing people in this place.
Its true what they convey in manjummel Boys movie. Some experienced localites would try to recover bodies who died from suicide point (now its called as green valley). But no one takes risk to search for missing people in this Devil's kitchen (renamed as Guna cave after the movie).
Guys, you may love adventure. But don't take stupid risks. Good to know that they fenced these kind of dangerous places.
Thank you for narrating your experience. I can only imagine how dense it would have been when you had been. Yes, it's stupid and dangerous to enter such a place. But, however the feel is phenomenal.
well said praveen, I had visied there in 1996 May 22nd with my wife during honeymoon trip in full suit n shoes with a M7VHS video camera. It was a terrific and unessory experience . I woudn't any body this place.
That time was it grilled that pits
@@vinayakvinayak143 No. There were neither grills over the pits nor fences on the entry portion. Many dry leaves were there. I guess we accidentally didn't step in the pits.
Some other local guide was assisting other tourists and we followed his instructions. Where ever he said, not to go, we didn't go. Though we couldn't pay for that guide, I should thank him, as he indirectly gave instructions to all others to keep head count, walk closer and keep an eye on next person, be with the group, during mist movement stand still till it clears, etc...

Its crazy to think that they allowed people down there just two years after Subhash's rescue. That too right upto the spot he fell into! The movie was on point in describing the incompetence of TN police and the forest department.They better get their acts right before the huge influx of tourists post MB's success,or something unfortunate may happen again.
It was closed to tourists when we shot this video. But, we somehow entered the cave which was indeed dangerous. It's now impossible to enter the cave.

I visited this place just one week before.. I never thought that there was a time the people can step into this cave 😲..yes it is closed now they put iron rods around this cave.
it was closed even back then..this was an tresspassing vlog.

It ain't safe place bruh. He was lucky. Even guna crew didn't go deep. Now it's permanently closed
It was not as well protected as now. There was no barricade or fence in those days. In 2005, we have entered into the cave. Unfortunately, we lost all the photos taken there. But now realise how stupid and an adrenaline-driven move it was.

Dear friends now Don't try to enter this cave due to the ways are vanished not used by humans the way was totally damaged and very slippery when our last visit. it is also illegal to enter forest officials banned this entry due to lot of deaths. A father built a small memorial structure in the entrance for his son's death. Don't Try
