I've had my s20 ultra for about 2 months the few updates has made the camera much better but overall in happy with it even with the 120hz in high performance mode and auto brightness on i get amazing battery life i get anywhere between 6hr30 or 7hrs of sot the performance is so damn fast im very happy with it a price cut should make this very pleasing
Went from a s8+ with no gear, to a s20 ultra with active 2 and galaxy buds + and man does it feel like I was living under a rock! Thanks Thao for the great reviews on these products

I had my s20 ultra cosmic grey for a week and I absolutely love this phone. I don't care about the whining about the auto focus issue this phone does everything. I love the speakers on this phone might be better than the 11 pro speakers. I wasn't expecting the speakers to sound so loud and clear I was actually impressed. The battery on this phone is nuts I charge my phone every other day even with 120hz on. The s20 ultra battery is par with the 11 pro max battery I couldn't believe it. Samsung knock this phone out the park A+ for me. The only thing missing is the S-pen 😂
Yes I agree.! The speakers are super loud I really don't have to turn the phone up all the way, pretty much don't need it way up and sounds good.. Phone is pretty good.. I got it for the bigger screen this time around

Good video. Love my ultra exynos version. 30 mins charge get me about 62%. It fully charged 1% to 100% being on in under 55 mins. Battery life is good so far
Can you do a video on the S20+. I feel like RUclipsrs are ignoring that awesome device. Also on the S20+ night mode don't have the yellow hue. I had the ultra and sent it back for the S20+.
Such a fair and unbiased review. Been loving my ultra, I to have noticed the focusing issues only in videos . Hopefully will be fixed in a update. The zoom capabilities was the main reason why I got the ultra for me there's know reason to zoom to the max , think about it do you turn your radio to the max ....

Awesome vid! You've nailed the big concerns that I have, mainly the standby battery life and low light motion blur. For these reasons I wont be trading in my S10 plus for the ultra. I need a great indoor smartphone camera for shots of my 3yr old daughter, which camera do you recommend for this?
Please forgive me if I don't share correctly my ideas (thank you Thao, I really appreciate your videos and enjoy seeing them while I'm taking my breakfast as now, and I love how you explain everything really clear and easy to get, thank you so much!), but this year, 2020 Samsung's only improving a few specs that had to get in the past like 120 hz at screen, for example, but it's not the best phone year. If the excuse is to get the S20+ / Ultra by TOF sensor, go for Note 10+, in my opinion this is the best Samsung's device for now, according to its price and availability of specs here. To be honest, I have an S9+ and I was trying to upgrade this for S20+ but I gonna wait for next generation. Thank you guys for reading my comment but I think you should get Note 10 series instead S20 series. Or S10 + if you really love Samsung and you don't want to spend plenty of money

5:07 Mess with the optimization settings for various apps. Also try Greenify. Apps running in the background that don't need to be are definitely the culprit.

The Ultra is a great device... I wish the facial recognition was 3D... I want 120hz with QHD+ resolution (c'monnn software update)... Samsung has to fix the auto focus issue on this camera set up... I want the skin smoothing to be an option, not just a baked in default... I loVe the screen and battery size--the main reason I chose the Ultra... Great review 👍🏿
Wait... Didn't you install the white dome screen protector last year? It was suppose to be very compatible with the fingerprint scanner. It isn't good either?

It’s been a little underwhelming to be honest especially for the price. I’m reviewing it at the moment and am having serious issues with the auto focus as well. Standby time is even worse with exynos version, losing about 20% at least over night. At the moment I feel the note 10 plus is a better buy. Great video. 👍🏼
I still have the Note 9. I use GCam for like 90 percent of my photos. I get compliments on the photos from my phone all the time. That app seriously makes a difference. To upgrade for over 1,400 bucks I don't see it worth it and majority of my reason to upgrade is the camera.
Nice in depth review? Nah, I'm keeping my S10+, it's still blazing fast and is the perfect size at a compact 6.4 and very manageable? But I do like the improved 📷's. Plus the 120hz display? My S10+ even at 60hz is still remarkable? Actually if I was to purchase the base model at 6.2 would do me. But I use Verizon, their not carrying the regular s20 until quarter two? Due to the limits on 5g? These are great phones but also very pricey!

With regards to dry skin and the FPS. If you find it doesn't work use the pin and register your print again with the dry finger.

Both the Pixel and iPhone handle motion blur really well. So for point and shoot pictures of children or pets, those are solid choices.

I use the Atomic slim case by Ghostek with my S20 Ultra and it looks awesome. I also bought the Dbrand skin that you can see with the case.

Unfortunately Greenify doesn't work very well on unrooted phones anymore. It was great before Android Pie but really doesn't do anything much now

Try making sure scene optimizer is off...it helps.

Apple Seed I think the s20 plus works better as it has a dual pixel auto focusing system. Seems to take nice photos too. Love to try it out. 😃

Interesting. I tested out the "standby battery drain" on my Note 10 Plus and it only went down by 2% overnight. 75%-73%.

Previously the touch sensitivity was not 60hz. They changed it from 120hz to 240 hz....
