snupes album is the most underrated hiero album in my opinion. i always loved this cats style. when the bassline on brown sugar hits it still gets me hype. for years i was putting friends onto that record. good interview.
We hear you, Gentle Jones Wonders Beyond Belief. It's a great LP. We're glad you enjoyed the interview. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
“Yo, can I get a witness Brothers don't want ta be on my hit-list Time to kick positivity with the quickness.” Had this on Maxi Single! Remember those? 😂
‘94 was a big year for Hip-Hop. So many unforgettable debut albums and just straight up classics! “First Sermon” was definitely one of my fav singles of that year. That cool out beat was damn near flawless, and Snupe’s verses just sounded like summer to me... and that’s coming from a Midwest kid. We listened to it all.
Liked the interview but thought he could talk a bit about production cause he was awesome at beats too. I mean one of my favourites is his 'never no more' remix. That track is just ridiculous to this day!
I heard the verses he spit that were removed from 3rd Eye Vision. He was out-shining everyone. Snupe had the potential to be the breakout star of the group.
Didn't care for 'Like it Should be' when it dropped. 2020 gave me a chance to go back & listen to a lot of music, and I revisited this album. Don't know how I slept so hard on this album smh...
Soren Baker murdering the game! Skype was so extra prolific with the runner and coolness! The young homie had bars!!! One of my favorite albums and I love this interview!!!
Thanks for the interview. HUGE fan of Like It Should Be. Not sure if it was rated by The Source back in 94, but I would have gave it a 4 or higher. Production on the album was tight. let alone rhymes and hooks. Snupe is really good dude. Hopefully there will be a part two. Maybe you can touch on the rumor of him being kicked out of The Hiero crew.
That would be incredible, DermDZL1. #SorenBaker is a huge fan of the camp, as you can tell. Thanks as always for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
@@UniqueAccessEnt I don't see why not, especially when a bunch of these so-called hip hop scholars have yet to write anything past a paragraph (much less, a page) on Hieroglyphics.
@@UniqueAccessEnt definitely. I'm a hip hop head so I can suggest a ton more unspoken hip hop artists/groups that no one seems to care to interview. Waiting on Saafir, Jamal (Illegal), Cool Breeze and/or Witchdoctor, Mood, Medina Green or Dres if at all possible.
Dope interview! Been an EP fan since the 90s. Btw I’ve been trying to find a decent copy of the song Bubble Up feat Casual & Snupe for years. Anyone have it?
There were different lanes but they were all cross influenced. They all talk about everyone being connected somehow from d.u. to hammer to $hort to Spice to Hiero etc. and even reference eachother in the songs.
8:46 mmm, another whiteboy overplaying the pimp, street element as crucial, feels a little stale. Like it SHould Be was a Hiero album just the same. There's maybe 5 references to pimpin' and playin' on the entire thing. Let's dial back the need to validate ganksta with the twist of every interview. He was a slick southerner playa no doubt, but the album was a hiero masterpiece of lyrical proportions, with ill-ass beats.
Great interview so far, but uh, Geto Boys were fairly lightweight. We all love them, but calling them one of the best is an exagerration. Their respective solo careers where much better. I like how he points out that big city Houston wasn't on-par with little industrial town Oakland in street-savvy, interesting.
Man, we can't agree that the Geto Boys were fairly lightweight, Tariq Busy. They put out several powerful LPs. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.

First Sermon is a timeless 12”, pinnacle of hip-hop
Snupe is the least known in Heiro. I would have never remembered Extra Prolific. Thanks for the informative interview.
His first album "Like It Should Be" was highly slept on. I think it was one of the biggest travesties of the golden era.
No doubt, Ahmad Joyner. We're glad you enjoyed the interview. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.

Actually the Source magazine gave
Extra Prolific 4 mic 🎤🎤🎤🎤 rating
I remember that issue, one of the reasons I bought the album 🤎

I still have the Extra Prolific cassette tape and the "Brown Sugar" cassette single. Is there a part 2 of this interview.
First Sermon & Brown Sugar are two tite joints that I recall from Extra Prolific.
Cash Money & Go Back to School were my 2 favorite tracks on that album

Snupe! This damn auto correct typed Skype! My bad, Snupe!

Legendary producer and rapper no doubt at all. Listen to him all the way from cape town, South Africa
