    Both are correct. Per the DPD (Diccionario panhispánico de dudas) :
    Los verbos hacer y dejar, cuando tienen sentido causativo, esto es, cuando significan, respectivamente, ‘obligar’ y ‘permitir’, siguen la misma estructura que los verbos de influencia: «verbo causativo + complemento de persona + verbo subordinado». Tanto hacer como dejar tienden a construirse con complemento directo si el verbo subordinado es intransitivo: «Él la hizo bajar a su estudio y le mostró el cuadro» (Aguilera Caricia [Méx. 1983]); «Lo dejé hablar» (Azuela Tamaño [Méx. 1973]); y tienden a construirse con complemento indirecto cuando el segundo verbo es transitivo: «Alguien lo ayudó a incorporarse, lo estimuló y hasta le hizo tomar café» (JmnzEmán Tramas [Ven. 1991]); «El alcaide de la cárcel le dejaba tocar el banjo todas las mañanas» (Cela Cristo [Esp. 1988]).
    Notice that it only says "tienden" and therefore there is no single approach - you will get variety, although the most common is to use a direct object when the verb is intransitive and the indirect object is transitive. In your example, the verb is transitive (comer la comida) so the most common would be to use le.

    Isn’t the correct way to say “The professor makes them learn something new every day.” “El profesor los hace aprender algo nuevo cada día.”

    • @QrooSpanish
      @QrooSpanish  16 дней назад

      It varies by region. This construction is unusual because it can take an indirect object pronoun or direct object pronoun. I should have gone down a rabbit hole on that one. I may refilm this one. It will also vary by the particular verb chosen. "La hiceron llorar. - They made her cry." But with sentences like this, le/les will be common.
      Take a look at this post for example. It uses "les hizo aprender": x.com/DiaaDiaCaracol/status/1168535538695114757?mx=2

    Por favor, ayúdeme con "crezcan".
    Creer in the subjunctive for the rain = crea no?

    • @spider2666
      @spider2666 15 дней назад

      'crezcan' refers to 'las plantas', not 'la lluvia'. The subjunctive verb after 'hacer que' is conjugated for the new subject that follows 'hacer que', in this case 'las plantas' - the plants
      Also the verb in question is 'Crecer' so it would not be 'crea' in any circumstance.

    How much would you charge for a lesson plan to help a native Spanish speaker with a very good grasp on English learn to pass a landscaping test and just high frequency etiquette type content? If my dear friend could pass a written English test, it would change his life and for all of his family, children, grandchildren. I wish we could email, you have been a huge positive influence on me. You couldn't possibly know, but please know, you have undervalued skill and potential here. You should be teaching cops Spanish though union.

    • @QrooSpanish
      @QrooSpanish  16 дней назад

      I'm not very good at teaching English to Spanish-speakers. Sorry.

    • @sam-lt9gt
      @sam-lt9gt 16 дней назад

      @QrooSpanish at least think about it, or what that personalized content might look like or cost. Trump is threatening to deport 3/4 of the agriculture industry in the US, on top of all the other migrant workers he never considered. So it's a very important time for these people working as America's backbone with no pay or thanks to get a hand up and utilize every skill and avenue they have. They already work twice as hard for half the pay, a language barrier in these cases is just insult to injury. Especially people like my friend, who has been here for 30 years and still at the bottom of the ladder and why? Written comprehension and red tape bureaucratic bullshit. Grown men do not belong breaking their backs in a foreign country for $150 a day with no benefits, no social security, no anything. I don't know how they're going to replace all these migrant laborers, honestly. It's not like they're "stealing good jobs". They're filling roles that otherwise wouldn't be fillable. Please, think about this issue and reflect on how there is something you could do, if you wanted.
